touch of the fallen

After getting Norman's dark ghostly appearance i begun to ask other questions since he retained his memories. Turns out this world is more interesting than i thought and just as i suspected magic exists in this world.Apparently not just magic there is aura/ ki and spirit manipulation.

The world has only 2 continents Meltra and Gainun. We are on Meltra. Just like in any fantasy world the are different races. From elves, beastmen, dwarves to fairies, actually there were more 3 but the continental war led to there extinction on Meltra. There are actually more races are categories among lesser races and are usually under or slaves to the top 5 races. He said that humans were once considered a lesser race.

For a species to be considered a major race, there are 3 conditions.Firstly it must have an organised civilization, then must have a racial limit higher than Tier 5. To be honest i don't get it, it seems crossing Tiers is not as easy as i had thought . And lastly they must have 1 or more Tier 7 beings. Every race has worships tier 7 being as Gods except for the elves who despite having the most tier 7 beings, only worship one being the World tree who is rumored to have crossed Tier 8. 

Norman said the continent is divided with the elves occupying a third of it and that part is covered by a a gigantic forest. Another third is occupied by the fairies, quite surprising but the fairies in this world are not tiny but are human sized. The rest is covered by the remaining races.

After understanding the situation around me i asked Roland why his body is here.He said his town had been raided and was captured by slave traders then he was sold to the young must and was brought here to be used in the ritual. He said he was an aura user before he died.

Now i get the gist of what's going on and yet i still can't move my body.

Norman"I have a suggestion master "

It took some time and i was able to stop him from calling me 'my liege' and settled for master

"what is it"

Norman"I think i know why the master can't move "

Excited i said

"TELL ME"

Norman"Since master's body is dead and has no feeling why not use aura to move it"

My excitement died down immediately. 

"Norman you might not know this but ever since you started talking about magic i've been trying to sense it but no matter how i try i can't find it"

Norman seemed to pause a little but due to the lack any other facial features except his glowing red eyes, i can't read his expression.

Norman"That shouldn't be after all master has a crystalised core"

"huh.....could you be more clear"

Norman" Oh! Master when an undead is formed a crystal core is created when their energy is compressed together. It is what is known as the heart of the of the undead, if not destroyed are said to be almost unkillable"

"So what are you getting at "

Norman"It should be much easier to sense since it is concentrated in one place"

"Now that i think about it it does make sense, let me try"

I tried to search for a place with concentrated energy and after a minute there was still nothing. To be honest i wasn't that disappoint, i have been shocked too many times to be surprised by this.

"Norman this is working"

Norman"Master are you sure i can feel a concentration of energy in your chest where the heart is meant to be, master should try there"

"sigh"

"I will try one last time if all fails then we try another method"

I once again concentrated but this time at only my heart then felt something stir in it.

"Hahahaha this is it, i found it"

Norman was excited just like me

Norman"Master now try to draw it out"

Taking Norman's advice i reached out to the energy in my heart. Responding to my request i heard

"DADUMB!"

Am not sure why but my heart awake but it felt like a dam had broken and energy gushed out of it then flowed through my body. Sensation seemed to return to my body and yet it wasn't done.

"DADUMB"

I could feel my body turn inside out like thousands of ants crawling under my skin. I started to regret why i wanted to move again. It felt like hours had passed no days and then gradually the shift stopped. But this was still not the end.

"DADUMB"

Different from before i felt my body loosen like the chains around my body were breaking. One by one with each break a sense of euphoria washed over my body. I felt like never going away and yet like all good things, it all comes to an end.

While savoring the feeling an annoying voice kept calling out to me

"Master! Master!Master!"

The more the voice called the more annoyed i became until i couldn't take it anymore. I sat up and yell 

"What the hell is going on. Why can't i get any rest around here"

Norman who was very excited said

Norman"Master, you can move now"

I hadn't registered it before but i realised i am sitting up straight. All my anger vanish like the wind and was replaced by joy like no other 

"I can talk hahahahahahaha finally even death can't keep me down hahahahahahaha there is a whole new world in front of me hahahahahahahahaha "

I laugh maniacally until i couldn't anymore. Norman just floated there waiting for my out burst to end, but now that i get a proper look he appeared like a human shadow floating in air. I asked

"Norman what happen as i draw energy from my heart"

Norman"Am not sure as well but before the master passed out a strange darkness covered over the your body, i can't tell what happened afterwards or why the master's body change"

Hearing what happen i realised that within my heart was darkness from the darkness from the mysterious place yet when i try to feel it like before there is nothing and it is funny how my heart i pumping blood in a corpse. But it doesn't feel wrong in fact i feel more alive than before.

I noticed Norman looked at me weirdly 

"Is there something on my face"

Norman realising he had been staring at me intensely spoke quickly 

Norman"No master its just before when master was laying down you had the same appearance as mine before i died but after being covered by the darkness, Master's body has changed"

"Yeah i did fill like my body was changing at first but i didn't think it would morph my body"

I touched around my body looking for any abnormalities but nothing which was making me wonder why Norman is looking at me so intensely 

"Norman can you describe me from your point of view"

Norman"Masters hair has become long, the body has more defined muscles ...."

Hearing Norman it seems death doesn't hate me so much, giving me a new great body. Norman continued

Norman"....black eyes with red pupils...."

I almost spat out blood here the next part. I thought 

'who the hell gives black eyes and red pupil'

Norman"....and an very handsome face..."

"...."

Norman"..."

"Why do i feel a hint of spite when you said the last part"

Norman"Not sure what you mean master"
