Top-class Bodyguard

Chapter 200: The Last Formula Was Also Improved by Him

The employees were utterly shocked by Liou Rumei's words.

This decision-making really is domineering and confident. You want to leave? Fine, then go.

There was no attempt to persuade him to stay.

Liu Peng's earlier words were said in anger. The benefits here are quite good, but once words are spoken, they can't be taken back. How could he lower his head to plead with Liou Rumei now?

"Mr. Liou, Liu Peng was speaking in anger," said an employee immediately, pleading on Liu Peng's behalf.

"Yes, Mr. Liou, Liu Peng is serious about his work, and he is capable. Even if there's no merit, there's hard work involved."

Liou Rumei glanced at Liu Peng calmly and said, "I hope no one will question my decisions anymore, and don't use resignation to threaten me."

Liu Peng nodded awkwardly.

"Of course, I know this requirement is a bit challenging for you all, but it doesn't matter; I've already found a solution."

"What solution?" Liu Peng and the others' eyes lit up immediately.

"It's him." Suddenly, Liou Rumei pulled Ren Feng over.

Holy crap, what are you doing?

Ren Feng looked at Liou Rumei with a gaze full of resentment. I was just enjoying my sausage, planning to watch the show, and you dragged me out for what?

But at this point, Ren Feng realized what Liou Rumei was up to — apparently, she brought him over to solve some R&D problem.

The employees were momentarily stunned seeing Ren Feng still munching on a sausage.

"Mr. Liou, this seems unreliable. To develop such a product, you at least need an understanding of traditional Chinese medicine. Does he know it?"

One of the older employees asked suspiciously.

"Exactly, Mr. Liou," Liu Peng chimed in, "Even if he understands traditional Chinese medicine, he still needs experience in handling products."

"Mr. Liou, did you pick the wrong person?" an employee asked in confusion.

Ren Feng also nodded in agreement, "Mr. Liou, I think you picked the wrong person."

Having said that, Ren Feng intended to sneak away, but unexpectedly, Liou Rumei pulled him back again.

"Since you're here and you've eaten the sausage, at least help me solve this matter." A faint smile played on Liou Rumei's lips.

Ren Feng was at a loss, feeling as if a few sausages had written him off.

Liu Peng's prior anger flared up again; he glanced at Ren Feng with undisguised disdain.

"Mr. Liou, I think you're treating a dead horse like a living horse to be healed."

"Sigh, Mr. Liou, I know you're anxious, but haste makes waste. Look at this young man, I bet he's not even in our line of work; he can't do it."

Liou Rumei said nothing, just stood at the side with a calm expression, but Ren Feng was irritated.

"Hey, hey, hey, what's with the talk? I haven't even tried yet; how can you say I can't do it?"

Ren Feng stepped forward, rolling up his sleeves: "Alright, no big deal, it's just creating a formula. All of you step aside."

Seeing Ren Feng's domineering manner, the employees felt even more aggrieved.

"Fine, I'll see how you do it."

"If you can figure it out, I'll step down as chief research officer and let you take over," Liu Peng dropped harsh words as well.

Liou Rumei still said nothing, only a hint of a smile on her lips.

Ren Feng glanced at her, feeling resigned. It was clear Liou Rumei wanted to watch the show.

He swept all the stuff off the table aside, carelessly tossing a bunch of herbs away, making the employees even angrier and heartbroken.

"Do you even know what you're doing? How can you just throw away herbs like that? This stuff's worth thirty thousand yuan!"

Ren Feng glanced at Liou Rumei again, her red lips parted slightly: "Silence."

With that, those employees fell silent, though their eyes were full of anger and frustration.

Ren Feng meanwhile took out an instrument, placed it on the table, and once everything was ready, all the employees coldly stared at him, wanting to see what Ren Feng would do.

However, right before Ren Feng began, he paused, then asked Liu Peng, "What kind of product do you want to create, what effects do you need?"

Everyone almost fell down.

Suppressing his anger, Liu Peng said, "To repair damaged skin, simply put, it should make scars disappear entirely. But Mr. Liou said even old scars should be removed, and they must look identical to the original skin, with quick results."

Ren Feng listened and nodded, "Simple."

Simple?

Liu Peng widened his eyes, then angrily stopped speaking. If it were simple, they wouldn't have been trying for so long without achieving the desired effect, and yet you say it's simple?

Fine, I'll watch you make a fool of yourself.

Upon understanding the effect requirements, Ren Feng started working.

"Do you have Sudan Wood, soapthorn, safflower, Bone-penetrating Grass?"

Ren Feng quickly listed a series of traditional Chinese medicines, causing the previously angry employees to pause.

Is he that familiar with these herbs?

"We do." An employee spoke up.

"If you have them, bring them quickly."

The employees began bustling around, and Ren Feng immediately gave orders, "10 grams of each of these herbs, with 100 grams each of large blood vine and angelica, start boiling them."

The employees went to work immediately, while Ren Feng was quickly processing the information in his mind.

To remove scars, the medical techniques taught by the old man offer several methods, but if quick results and perfect scar removal are required, there are only a few options left.

As the employees boiled the herbs, Ren Feng asked, "Do you have any precious medicines like snow lotus here? If you do, bring them out."

"We don't have those, the budget doesn't cover it," Chen Peng said coldly.

"I see," Ren Feng stroked his chin, "No problem, I'll use other methods."

Ignoring them, Ren Feng continued working.

He had someone bring a piece of sterile white gauze over, then soaked it in the herbal concoction that had just been boiled. He then placed the glob of dark traditional Chinese medicine he'd prepared onto the white gauze.

"Alright, done. Anyone got scars? Try it and see."

Already done?

Chen Peng and others were skeptical. One employee volunteered, "Alright, I'll give it a try."

He extended his wrist, which bore a scar from a past surgery.

"Apply it, and remove it after half an hour."

Ren Feng tossed the white cloth over, and the employee applied it. Instantly, a wave of heat and an extremely peculiar feeling seemed to envelop his skin.

Chen Peng's eyes were still filled with doubt. If it couldn't be verified, he would've suspected the person before him of being a charlatan.

But half an hour later, when the employee removed the white gauze, he was utterly stunned.

The wrist that once bore a long scar was now smooth and flat. Though it wasn't identical to the surrounding skin, compared to before, it looked as if it had been ironed flat.

"My scar is actually gone!" the employee was incredulous.

"Oh my God!" The surrounding employees were similarly shocked, many rubbing their eyes, yet seeing the scar had indeed flattened.

How is this possible? If not for the evidence in front of them, they would've considered it impossible, but now, the fact lay right before their eyes!

One employee's hand trembled.

Another's mouth was gaped wide enough to fit an egg.

Chen Peng's jaw was practically dropping.

Liou Rumei's red lips parted slightly, eyes smiling, looking at the astonished group of employees. She nonchalantly added, "I forgot to mention, the improvement plan for the last Beauty Elixir also came from him."

Clang.

Chen Peng was so shocked he fell to his knees.
