Top Actress Beware: Also Reborn Is Your CEO Husband!

Chapter 307: If you don't want me to take advantage of you, hurry up and get better

They held so much evidence in their hands that could doom her.

"I have my own plans, you go ahead." Aurelia Shaw replied.

Hadrian Turner didn't ask more questions, nor did he send another message. Aurelia guessed he should be handling it now.

Unexpectedly, Hadrian Turner could actually handle quite a lot!

"What's so funny?" A man's clear voice sounded from behind.

Aurelia set the iPad aside, and said softly, "Nothing."

Mason Nightshade glanced at the iPad, didn't ask further, bent down to pick her up, and walked towards the dining room. Aurelia had no strength, her feet were scratched, struggling was futile, so she let him place her gently on a chair.

"Open your mouth." Mason picked up the porridge, scooped a spoonful, blew on it, and brought it to her lips.

"Mason, I just have a cold, not paralyzed hands."

"Open your mouth." Mason insisted, only when she opened her mouth did the corners of his lips curve slightly undetectably. He scooped another spoonful and repeated the action.

She was completely drained, both sleepy and dizzy, without the energy to bicker with him. After eating, he carried her back upstairs, turned around, and left. He returned a few minutes later, holding a glass of water and some medicine.

"Take the medicine." Mason handed the medicine to her.

The experiences of her past life made her sensitive and resistant to medicine. Her eyebrows furrowed, eyes carrying a hint of wariness, "What kind of medicine is this?"

"Antipyretics, you'll feel much better after some rest." Seeing her furrowed brows, clearly not wanting to take medicine, he caressed her lips until they were swollen red, gently persuaded, "The medicine Junia brought is really good, just take it, you'll feel better by tomorrow, hmm?"

His fingertips were slightly calloused, causing some pain on her lips, and Aurelia opened her mouth, then bit down! To her surprise, he didn't pull back. Instead, he pried her teeth open and quickly placed the medicine on her tongue.

The bitter taste rapidly spread, Aurelia's face scrunched up, "Mason, you..." Mason handed over the water glass. She tightly grasped his hand, quickly brought the glass to her lips, and took two big gulps. Once the pill went down, the bitterness dissipated significantly.

His long fingers placed a piece of candy in her mouth, and as they withdrew, her tongue inadvertently brushed his fingertips.

Mason's heart skipped a beat, his eyes subtly darkened.

"Mason, you bastard!" Aurelia cursed, sensing him drawing closer, abruptly retreated. Her head spun for a moment, peach blossom eyes sharp and warningly opened wide, a misty gaze directed at him, "Get lost! Don't think of taking advantage of me!"

"If I really wanted to take advantage of you, do you think you could stop me in your current state?" Mason chuckled lightly with a hint of mischief, stepped back, took the ointment from the drawer, and squatted in front of her, lifting her foot.

Aurelia tried to withdraw, but... her ankle was held in his hand, not with much force, yet she was completely unable to move.

"If you don't want me really taking advantage of you, don't move around, let me apply the medicine."

A cool sensation spread on the side of her foot.

The man's hands weren't particularly delicate, the palms slightly calloused from years of holding a gun, but there was no discomfort. She watched his hands, as the medicine took effect, her eyelids grew heavy, her nose stuffy. She grabbed a tissue, wiped her nose, and tossed it away.

She pulled a pillow from behind, hugged it to her chest, slumped onto the bed, eyes half-closed. Her soft long curls tumbled down her back, a few strands resting near her ear, cheeks tinged red with a feverish allure.

Mason's throat bobbed, he tossed the tissue into the trash can, and said to her, "If you're sleepy, just sleep. Don't push yourself.
