Chapter 284: Why Help Her Out of Trouble?
Eliza Fletcher collided with someone.
The script fell to the ground, and the other person stumbled back a couple of steps, almost falling. Before they could speak, Eliza's sharp voice rang out first: "Are you blind?"
Ysoria Cooper frowned slightly at the words, her pretty face lifting as she opened her mouth to say something. But then she remembered this was the film set, and she didn't want to make a scene, so she closed her mouth, bent down to pick up the script, and decided to leave.
Originally full of anger, Eliza was now even angrier.
She couldn't handle Aurelia Shaw, but could she not handle a little actress?
"I'm talking to you, didn't you hear me? You bumped into someone and don't even know it? Can't you even say sorry? What kind of manners are these? Don't they look at an actor's demeanor when hiring these days?"
This person was being entirely unreasonable.
Ysoria didn't want to pay her any attention, but her arm was suddenly grabbed, the strength considerable, making her frown in pain.
The film set was only so big, and once something happened, a crowd quickly gathered around.
The assistant director, Magnus Wood, a short and frail man, quickly walked over without understanding the situation and started scolding Ysoria right away, "What's the matter with you? Don't you know this is a film set? Causing such a fuss here, what are you doing? If you don't want to work, just leave immediately; there are plenty of people ready to take your place."
Ysoria bit her lip and said softly, "Sorry, director."
"Why apologize to me? Apologize to Miss Left!" Eliza was someone planted by the investor, while Ysoria had no background, making her the perfect scapegoat in situations like this.
Eliza laughed smugly and said grandly, "Forget it, forget it. These newcomers really have such temper these days. Not only do they not say thank you after bumping into someone, but they don't even respect their seniors. They don't even know how they'll be blacklisted in the future."
Magnus looked at Ysoria, thinking to himself: This is a threat. This Ysoria is really unlucky; of all people to offend, she had to offend someone with connections. With her stiff attitude, it's a wonder she can survive in this industry.
"I saw it was you who bumped into this young lady," a woman's clear voice sounded.
Aurelia Shaw walked over.
Andrew Kennedy followed behind her, a disinterested smile on his face.
Magnus immediately changed his attitude and walked over with a fawning smile, asking Andrew, "Did this not affect you? This matter is about to be resolved."
"It didn't affect me," Andrew smiled lightly, looking at Aurelia, "I just wonder if my sister was disturbed?"
This sly fox.
Aurelia cursed in her heart.
Aurelia was also someone the director personally approved of, with some unknown background. Magnus didn't dare to offend her and had to show some respect, "It's just some small matter, everyone disperse and prepare for filming. It's the first day of shooting; don't mess things up."
Seeing that there's nothing else to watch, everyone dispersed.
Ysoria nodded to Aurelia, expressing her thanks.
Eliza wanted to speak to Andrew, but he left first. After leaving the crowd, Andrew naturally wandered over to Aurelia's side and curiously asked, "Just a newcomer, why did you help her out?"
Aurelia's crimson lips curled into an innocent smile, "Did I? The assistant director was clearly giving you face. I'm just a newcomer; how could I help anyone? As long as trouble doesn't find me, I'm quite content."
Andrew looked at her innocent, radiant face, knowing full well she was up to no good inside, but she wouldn't admit it, so he couldn't ask, and sighed inwardly.
She was truly the first person he'd met in this circle who could be so subtly devious.
