Chapter 218 Yogurt Tastes Like Love_1
The midday sun was bright.
Aozawa received a message from Ayatsuki Ayaka and arrived at the entrance to the Human Observation Society.
He had been here once as a cat. However, unlike Ayatsuki Ayaka's fondness for cats, Takahashi Saeko was hostile towards them and didn't allow them inside the Human Observation Society.
Although Ayatsuki Ayaka liked cats, she liked Takahashi Saeko more. So, when faced with the choice, she decided to follow Takahashi Saeko's wishes and keep the cat outside.
It was his first time entering the Human Observation Society. He raised his hand and knocked on the door. "Iroha, are you there?"
"Please come in."
A soft voice sounded.
Aozawa was slightly startled; the voice did not seem to belong to Ayatsuki Ayaka as he turned the doorknob.
The Human Observation Society's room wasn't very large. Inside, there was one table and four chairs.
Bookshelves lined both walls, filled with books on philosophy and foreign classics like *One Hundred Years of Solitude*.
There were also fashion magazines covering topics like makeup and style, but Ayatsuki Ayaka was nowhere to be seen.
Only a girl with shoulder-length, tea-colored wavy hair stood on a chair, seemingly trying to reach a book on the top shelf. Her full chest stretched the collar of her sailor uniform taut, pressing it almost seamlessly against the bookshelf.
"Just wait a moment. Iroha won't be back right away. She went out with Kaoru and Saeko to buy some things," Tama Chan's voice was gentle.
She strained to straighten her waist, trying to hook a book from the top shelf with her fingers.
Aozawa watched her struggle. He thought it would be a good idea to improve relations with Ayatsuki Ayaka's close friends. He didn't need to be too close, but for such a trivial favor, there was no need to be stingy.
"Let me do it," he offered as he stepped forward.
Tama Chan stubbornly said, "It's okay, I can get the book."
As she spoke, she sneakily glanced at Aozawa's position, mentally measuring the distance between them before naturally initiating a secret technique: [Library Fantasy Dream Sonata].
Most men harbored a fantasy: while in a library, a beautiful girl, unable to reach a book on a high shelf, would accidentally fall right into their arms.
The visual impact of books and beauty combined could shake a man's heart in an instant.
As the Ocean Empress, Tama Chan had perfected this skill, felling countless bookworms to date.
Turning fantasy into reality was, in essence, fulfilling a man's dream.
Thus, Tama Chan named this move the Library Fantasy Dream Sonata.
With this tactic, Tama Chan was confident she could win the bet with Takahashi Saeko.
Her fall was artfully executed, but Aozawa didn't hesitate for a second, immediately stepping aside to avoid her.
THUD. For the first time since developing this technique, Tama Chan truly fell to the ground, with no cushioning to break her fall. It felt like her buttocks were splitting in two—not that they weren't already, but it really hurt.
Tama Chan's innocent face immediately contorted in pain. Tears welled in her eyes as she turned towards Aozawa and whimpered, "It hurts so much." Her voice could have melted steel, but it could not melt Aozawa's heart.
He simply watched and said, "There's nothing to be done about it. It's your fault for trying to reach a book beyond your grasp."
"Haha, yeah," Tama Chan chuckled, a trace of worry in her heart. Aozawa was different from ordinary jerks. He wasn't the type to indiscriminately lust after anyone; he was selective.
His strong willpower makes me doubt there's much hope for Ayatsuki Ayaka's plan to correct Aozawa's values.
She also couldn't help but lament Takahashi Saeko's methods. Knowing in advance Aozawa would be tough to handle, Saeko had used both money and reverse psychology to stir up her competitive spirit, getting her to try.
Saeko had intended to use her own body as bait for Aozawa, but she had Tama Chan stand in for her.
Damn it, Saeko will pay for this later!
Tama Chan bit her lip as she slowly got up from the ground.
The timing was just about right.
The door to the Human Observation Society opened, and Ayatsuki Ayaka came in, happily sipping free yogurt.
Seeing the scene inside, a hint of surprise touched her wheat-colored cheeks.
"Maru, what happened to you?"
"Nothing, I just happened to fall down," Tama Chan replied, glancing back at Takahashi Saeko and shaking her head slightly to indicate she had lost the bet.
Aozawa hadn't taken the bait.
Takahashi Saeko quickly said, "That won't do! It's too dangerous. Iroha, you stay here and entertain our guest. We'll take Maru to the nurse's office."
With that, she and Miyahara Kaoru helped Tama Chan out of the Human Observation Society.
Ayatsuki Ayaka stood holding her yogurt. Watching them close the door and then glancing at Aozawa standing inside, she instantly understood. This must be Saeko and the others creating an opportunity for me!
Ayatsuki Ayaka took a deep breath, walked forward with her head held high, and said, "Good afternoon, Aozawa."
"Iroha, why are you being so formal?" Aozawa laughed softly, speaking warmly, "Did you call me here for something?"
"Can't I call you over just to hang out?" Ayatsuki Ayaka retorted, knowing in her heart that Saeko and the others must have used her phone to message Aozawa.
But when did they get my phone? And how did they know my unlock code?! Ayatsuki Ayaka thought about it but had no recollection. I'll have to confront them later.
"Aozawa, do you want some yogurt?"
Ayatsuki Ayaka offered the yogurt.
Aozawa had always been indifferent to yogurt, not caring whether he drank it or not.
But yogurt that Ayatsuki Ayaka had sipped from was an exception.
He expressed his interest, "Sure."
Ayatsuki Ayaka withdrew the yogurt, her face slightly flushed. "If you say you like me, I'll let you have a sip," she said, her voice shy.
Her large eyes darted around nervously.
Saying such bashful words was a first for her.
The inspiration came from a technique Tama Chan had taught her that morning on how to win over an innocent boy.
"Iroha, I like you."
Aozawa found this kind of little game intriguing.
A sweet feeling blossomed inside her. Ayatsuki Ayaka brought the yogurt forward again. "Then I'll give you a sip."
Aozawa was tempted to drink it all in one go, just to see Ayatsuki Ayaka's reaction. However, doing so would mean they couldn't continue playing this little game of theirs.
He only took a small sip.
Ayatsuki Ayaka took back the yogurt. She looked at the straw he had bitten, then brought it to her own lips. Blushing, she took a slow sip as if savoring the warmth Aozawa had left there.
She deliberately left a drop of yogurt on her lip, licked it clean with her tongue, and whispered, "If you say you like me again, I'll give you another sip."
"Iroha, I like you."
"Good boy, here you go."
Ayatsuki Ayaka handed over the yogurt, slowly taming Aozawa with such little games, making him listen to her.
Today, he says he likes me. Tomorrow, he might say he only likes me. And the day after tomorrow, he might even break up with Morimoto Chiyoda!
Hee hee! Thinking about the future, Ayatsuki Ayaka felt a surge of motivation.
...
The bottle of yogurt was soon finished, though it obviously wasn't enough to fill his stomach. Aozawa left the Human Observation Society and approached the Guzheng Club's window.
Before he even got close, he heard Natsuka Yanagimachi screaming from inside, "No, don't!"
Amidst the commotion, Aozawa poked his head in. "What are you arguing about?" he asked curiously.
Inside the Guzheng Club's activity room, Natsuka Yanagimachi was hugging Hojo Shouko's waist with both hands, as though pleading with her not to continue posing like that.
Hojo Shouko held her hands high, like a devout believer presenting a sacred relic.
With a sanctified expression, she held up a lunchbox.
The lunchbox was pink—obviously not Aozawa's.
"No, nothing!"
Natsuka Yanagimachi shook her hands hastily, trying to indicate that everything was normal.
Hojo Shouko lowered the lunchbox she had held high. "Aozawa-senpai, would you be embarrassed if I made you a lunchbox?"
"Of course not. A lunchbox from you would be filled with your feelings, Shouko," Aozawa casually replied, his hands resting on the window frame. "Why do you suddenly ask?"
"I was discussing with Natsuka whether this lunchbox, filled with a mother's love, should be seen by others," Hojo Shouko explained, turning it towards Aozawa to show him its contents.
It was an extremely cute lunchbox.
On the right side, the side dishes included octopus sausages, eggs, chicken, and vegetables.
On the white rice, sauce had been drizzled into a heart shape, and strips of seaweed spelled out a message: "Go for it, daughter! Find yourself a handsome senior soon."
"Don't look!"
Natsuka Yanagimachi covered her cheeks with her hands, feeling so embarrassed she wanted to implode on the spot.
I'm already in high school, and she still makes me such a childish lunchbox! That dreadful mother of mine! She doesn't consider my feelings as a high school student at all!
"That lunchbox is quite nice!"
Aozawa's response left Natsuka Yanagimachi stunned. She slowly lowered her hands and looked up at him, finding no trace of awkwardness in his composed expression.
"A lunchbox like this shows you have a good relationship with your mother, Natsuka. That's enviable."
"Eh, really?"
Natsuka Yanagimachi was a bit dazed. Could it be that I'm the only one who finds a lunchbox like this so embarrassing?
"Natsuka, as someone who also makes lunchboxes, I know this one represents your mother's love for you. You shouldn't feel embarrassed. Instead, you should hold it up high and shout, 'Look! This is the lunchbox my mom made for me!'"
"I could never do that! Give it back to me, quick!"
Watching Hojo Shouko once again lift her lunchbox as if it were a sacred relic, Natsuka Yanagimachi felt a fresh wave of embarrassment and quickly snatched it back.
This was the right move. However, the fact that she didn't grab it earlier, instead letting Hojo Shouko show the lunchbox to him, makes me wonder if Natsuka Yanagimachi subconsciously has some kind of hidden fetish, Aozawa mused.
While Aozawa pondered these wild thoughts, his expression remained calm. "Shouko, I'm hungry. Where's my lunchbox?"
"Aozawa-senpai, you're later than usual today," Hojo Shouko remarked.
"Because I had a little something to do."
Their brief exchange made Natsuka Yanagimachi look up. As if some instinct had been triggered, she blurted out, "Wait a second, Shouko! Let me see the lunchbox you've prepared for Aozawa-senpai!"
"Sure."
Without hesitation, Hojo Shouko unwrapped the cloth covering the lunchbox, opened the lid, and revealed the meal she had prepared for Aozawa.
