AT NIGHT -

Jungkook stood near his balcony while drinking. He remebered how Mina took Minji away from his eyes and how Minji was looking at Jungkook again and again.

He clutched the glass in his hand. He suddenly remebered a fragment of his past.

"This foreign project will completely change our life, Mina. You always wanted to go to foriegn right ? Let me help you in packing." Jungkook said smiling while little Minji was in his arms.

Jungkook laid Minji on bed and sat on it. Mina was sitting across him. "See, Mina Minji looks so happy. I love her, she looks exactly like you. See she has same mole above her lips like you." Jungkook said fondly. Mina just rolled her eyes.

"What happened Mina ?" Jungkook asked concerned. "Jungkook, I am not coming with you." Mina said. "What ?" Jungkook frowned. "Yes, I am not going."

"You should have told first, I would have left my job. I can't go anywhere without you. You and Minji are my strength. " Jungkook said. "Stop it, Jungkook." Mina ssaid frustrated.

"No, Mina." Jungkook said and stood up. He went near Mina and held her hands. "I know you aren't going becausse of my happinesss but how can I leave you and our daughter ? She is barely six months old." Jungkook said.

Mina yanked her hands. "If you aren't going then I have to go." Mina said and tried to walk past him but Jungkook held her arm.

"Wait, Mina. Listen to me." Jungkook said. "You know what your problem is ?" Mina said. "You never listen to others. You feel what you want to feel and force others to do same." Mina yelled.

"You are so bloody happy that you don't see that I am not happy in this relationship."Mina said. "Mina, if I ever have done something wrong then I apologise but.." Jungkook said softly.

"Stop it Jungkook, I don't want to argue. We are over." Mina said. "Mina, we are from middle class family, we fulfill our marriage not break it." Jungkook said desperately.

"That's what I am saying. Your aspirations are small but mine are not. I don't want to be middle classs. My lifestyle is different from you. I don't want to live such a life where I have to sacrifice my happiness." Mina yelled.

"But we love each other.." Jungkook's voice cracked. "I don't love you, I love omeone else." Mina aid blankly. Jungkook's heart was shattered. 

"These are divorce papers, sign it and send soon." Mina said and left from there. Jungkook sat with a thud on bed. The papers slipped from his hand. He could only hear faint criess of Minji.

Jungkook clutched the glass tightly. He didn't wanted to remember but his heart and mind never let him forget it. Just then his phone rang. 

"Yes, Mr. Hyunsik. I am ready for their every attack. I want my daughter back at any cost." Jungkook said determined.

Mina looked at her reflection. "Beautiful !" She said. She wa wearing a golden gown with her hair in an updo bun. "You guyss are perfect. If you weren't there I don't know what would have happened." Mina aid to her makeup artists.

They smiled at her. "Ok, Sam, which jewellery compliments this dress best ?" Mina asked. "The green one." He said. Mina picked up the earrings. "I think emerald is best."

"Execellent choice dear." Sam said. Just then Namjoon entered. "She is Kim Namjoon's girlfriend, Sam. Of course her choice is excellent." He gestured them to go out. Mina smiled.

"So, how do I look ? Ain't I looking the best." Mina boasted. "Very beautiful. Everyone's gonna talk about you in party." Namjoon complimented.

"Today everyone will see you in new light. They will see you as a mother. A mother who got her daughter out of a monster's grasp." Namjoon said smirking. Mina's smile faded.

"Come on, darling. Don't be sad. This will make you more famous." Namjoon said. "Anyways, tomorrow is last hearing of your and Jungkook's divorce. After that you will be freed from that loser." Namjoon said.

"After that Minji's custody case will start and I am pretty sure that after that interview you will get the custody." Namjoon said victoriously. "Minji will stay with you and never see her father." 

"I want to go to dad." Minji spoke timidly. Namjoon and Mina noticed her standing near door. "Like father, Like daughter. Always ruining the moment, I think this runs in the family." Namjoon scoffed.

"Joon." Mina warned. "Anyway, I am waiting for you." Namjoon said and walked towards Minji. He smiled and squatted down. He held her cheek gently.

"Baby, you are just as special to me as you are to your mumma. Bye." Namjoon ruffled her hair and left. Mina walked towards Minji. "Minji, dear what are you doing here ? Did you eat ?"

"No." Minji replied. "Why ?" Mina asked."I told you that I am going to party. But don't worry I have called someone to take care of you." Mina said. "Mrs. Jung." 

A woman in her 50's came there. "Yes, mam." She replied. "Please feed Minji and put her to sleep. Don't wait for me, I might be a little late." Mina said. Mrs. Jung smiled.

"Yes, Don't worry mam, I will put her to sleep." Mrs. Jung said. "Ok, Minji, I am leaving. Listen to whatever, Mrs. Jung says, ok ?" Mina said smiling and kissed her forehead.

Mrs. Jung squatted down when Mina left. "Hi." Minji pouted. "I want to go to dad and grandma." She said. "Yes, we will go. But first let's eat food." Mrs. Jung said softly.

"Yes, I am coming up. I have talked with Mr. Hyunsik, tomorrow is your last hearing of divorce case." Hanwoo said on call with Jungkook while going inside building. From the lift of building Ari came outside on call. She had gym bag with her.

"Yes, mom. Imo and unniee both are fine. If it was in my hands, I would have broken that Jaebom's mou..." Ari got interrupted as she collided with Hanwoo. Their phone fell.

Hanwoo got flashbacks of his previous conversation with Ari. 

"Where were you when your hyung got my Imo arrested ?" Ari shouted.

Ari glared at Hanwoo and picked up the phone and left. Hanwoo picked up the phone. "Ari, why did you go silent ?" Ari's mom spoke. Hanwoo hung up. "Oh no, this is Ari's phone. Hanwoo left to give it back.

Ari entered the gym and saw trainer closing all equipments. "sorry, the gym is closed." Trainer said. "Please, I will just take half an hour." Ari pleaded. "Do you know what time is it ? It' 9'o clock." Trainer said.

"I will just use treadmill." Ari persuaded. Trainer disagreed, "I won't allow." He said. "Where there is will, there is a way." Taehyung said coming in.

"What's the problem ? You will need atleast half an hour to clean up and shut down, anyways." Tae said. "You should help other person." Trainer agreed and gave just half hour.

Ari was about to leave but Tae stopped her. "Wait. Can I talk to you for a bit ?" He asked. Ari turned around and said coldly. "Speak."

"I know you are upset. Before saying anything, I would apologise to you." Tae said. "But my family also suffered as much as yours." Tae said softly.

"Someone, can be right for someone and wrong for another. But I am not part of this fight." Tae said. "I am not responsible for whatever mean things hyung said. You know me very well. I always help others." Tae said with innocent face.

"Yes, you are helpful. By the way, thanks for the gym." Ari said now calmly. "Your welcome." Tae replied smiling. "You go workout and I will see you around" Tae said and left.

Ari went to changing room but forgot to close the door. Tae sneakily open the door slightly. He saw Ari changing. He took out his phone and filmed it. Ari removed her top till midway. "What a figure ! Wish I could see it closely." Tae mumbled.

Suddenly a hand grabbed his neck and pulled him out. Hanwoo punched him on jaw. "How dare you ! What were you doing ?" He asked furious. Ari listened to all shouting.

"What am I doing ?" Tae asked with a little nervouness. "Don't talk nonsense. I will break your jaw." Hanwoo said and grabbed Tae's collar. Tae got angry and pushed him.

"Stay in your limit, Hanwoo." Tae spat. "How dare you hit me ?" Tae yelled. "You should be in your limits. She is changing and you are recording her ?" Hanwoo asked disgusted.

"Hanwoo ! What happened ?" Ari came out running and held his arm. "I can't believe this guy. Tae, how can you stoop so low ?" Hanwoo asked.

"What have I done ?" Tae asked. "If you weren't hyung's brother then I would have buried you alive." Hanwoo shouted. Tae pushed him.

"I see now. You are making me a scapegoat to impress your ex-girlfriend. You know I am not that kind of guy." Tae said making Hanwoo frustrated.

"I don't need to learn from you how to respect girls." tae said. Hanwoo got furious and slapped him making Tae's lip bleed. Ari came in front of Tae. 

"Hanwoo, why are you hitting him ? What has he done ?" She asked. "He was filming you when you were changing." Hanwoo shouted. Ari looked at Tae.

"He's lying. It's not like that. You can check my phone if you want." Tae said. Hanwoo snatched his phone and looked for the video. "Is it there ? No, right ?" tae asked.

"You deleted it, right ?" Hanwoo asked. "I didn't made one to begin with." Tae said. "I saw with my own eyes. He was watching you change." Hanwoo said to Ari.

"He's lying. I didn't do anyhting." Tae explained. "What were you doing here then ?" Hanwoo asked. "I left my charger here. See here it is." Tae said showing the charger.

"Stop this nonsense and apologise." Hanwoo said. "When I did nothing wrong, what should I apologise for ?" Tae asked. Hanwoo grabbed his neck but Ari pushed him.

"Stop it, Hanwoo. I don't think Tae is lying. You are the one who is stalking me." Ari said making Hanwoo stunned. "I came here to return your phone which got exchanged." Hanwoo yelled.

"I saw him taking a video. " Hanwoo said. "He's lying. " Tae said.

"Here! You wanted your phone, right? Now you can leave now. " Ari said keeping his phone on his hand.

"You have already created a scene. I don't think tae's done any of this. I don't know what misunderstanding you both have but I can guarantee that he is not like you. " Ari yelled.

Hanwoo sighed. "And to lift yourself, you can't bring people down. " Ari said pointing her finger at him.

"Please believe me. I have seen him making a video. " He yelled. "Leave! " Ari said.

"Why don't you believe me?" Hanwoo said. "Fine! If you won't leave I will. " Ari said and left.

Tae grabbed his phone from hanwoo and left.

Y/n made marshmallow sleep and looked at the locket kept on table which was given by Minji.

Y/n smiled and took the locket in her hand and stared at it softly.

She picked up her phone and thought of calling minji.

"But it's already late, will I be disturbing her?" Y/n spoke with disappointment.

Minji was laying on bed and Mrs. Jung was patting her head. "I am missing Y/n sungmo." Minji pouted.

"Who is y/n sungmo ? " Mrs Jung asked. "She is very sweet. She also loves me very much. She knows everything about me. " Minji said.

"Do you want to talk to her ? " Mrs Jung asked. Minji nodded excitedly.

Mrs Jung took her phone and dialed the no.

Y/n was debating whether to call her or not just then her phone ringed.

She picked the call. "Hello." She asked. "Y/n sungmo. " Minji said happily.

Y/n was surprised and happy. "Minji ? How are you ? " Y/n asked. "Y/n sungmo I am missing you very much." Minji said with choked voice.

Y/n too got emotional. "I am also missing you very much. " Y/n said. "Where is mom? "

"She has gone to a party. " Minji said making y/n frown. "Who are you with right now then?" Y/n asked worried.

"With Jung ajjuma. " Minji replied. "Dear, do one thing, give the phone to ajjuma. " Y/n said.

Minji gave the phone to Mrs Jung. "Hello, ajjuma. Are you taking care of minji? I explained mina about the medicines but I don't know if she told you. Could you please wore it down ? " Y/n asked.

"Yes of course. " Mrs Jung said and took a paper and pen. Y/n explained her. "Can you make her sleep? It's already so late. " Y/n said.

"Just let me talk to her once. " Y/n requested. "Minji, listen you can call me anytime, ok? " Y/n said and continued to talk with her.

After sometime minji slept. "Hello ? " Y/n spoke with confusion on getting no response.

"She slept miss. " Mrs Jung said taking the phone. Y/n smiled. "Please take care of her. " Y/n said and hung up.

"What type of mother goes to a party leaving her child alone that too when she is sick ?" Y/n spoke skeptical.

"Ahhh !! " Tae yelled in pain as Hae-won applied the antiseptic lotion. "Oh my god, how badly he has beaten my son. " Hae-won said.

"It must be his fault. " Hyun-tae said. "He is already in pain so stop scolding him. " Hae-won yelled.

"What happened ? Why are you making a fuss ?" Jungkook asked while coming down stairs.

He saw Tae and grabbed his jaw. "What happened ?" He asked. "That hanwoo thrashed him. He also showed what he is. " Hae-won said.

"Wait a sec. What rubbish ? Hanwoo thrashed you? " Jungkook asked in disbelief.

"Yes, I went to gym and Ari was there too. I just helped her and he started beating me like he got possessed. " Tae said carresing his jaw.

Jungkook frowned. "I knew you won't believe me. " Tae said scoffing.

Just then hanwoo came. "How much more lies will you tell, tae ?" He asked sarcastically.

"I am saying the truth." Tae said. "You have lots of guys to speak lies after doing such vulgar act. " Hanwoo said.

"How dare you hanwoo, I always helped you ,raised you and you dared to hit my brother. " Jungkook asked.

"Yes, hyung, he hit me because he was jealous of me as I was talking to his ex girlfriend. " Tae said smirking.

Jungkook gave atight slap to Tae. Tae was shocked. Hae-won flinched.

"How dare you. Hanwoo told me everything first only. " Jungkook said furious and grabbing Tae collar.

"You got these values from our family. You will watch girls while changing ? " Jungkook asked making hae-won gasp.

"You have two sisters too. You are my brother and you did such cheap act. " Jungkook said giving a slap to Tae.

"He is lying, hyung. " Tae said. "I know your nature and hanwoo also. " Jungkook said.

"It doesn't matter if she is hanwoo ex girlfriend. She is a girl and thats enough reason to not do such act. Mom make him understand how to respect women oe else he will face my wrath. " Jungkook said.

"How could you.. " Jungkook said and raised his hand to slap him but.

"Sorry hyung. I won't do it again. " Tae begged. Jungkook let his hand down.

"Loser. Sorry, hanwoo. " Jungkook said to tae and apologize to hanwoo and went back to his room.

"Tae you... " Hae-won went ahead but hyun-Tae stopped her. "I knew it would be his fault" He said and went back to his room with hae-won.

Hanwoo also left afterward. Tae rubbed his jaw. "You are gonna regret this hanwoo. " He said.

Y/n was restless so she called mina. "Hello, it's me y/n." She said as mina picked up.

"Yes, I got your no. saved. " Mina said while she was in car with Namjoon.

"I just wanted to tell you that... I hope didn't disturb you. Minji is still recovering. She isn't fully healed and she needs a mother so i wanted to ask when will you go home ?"

Mina put the call on mute and said to Namjoon. "Who does she thinks she is ? She dared to ask me question. Who is she to question me ? " Mina said arrogantly.

"Listen to me.. Tell her that Namjoon grandma is unwell so wr are going to see her. " Namjoon said.

"But why should I give an explanation to get ? I am not afraid of her. " Mina said frowning.

"Have you lost your mind ? Her statement proved that jungkook is a bad father. It's she who gave you minji. Do as I say. " Namjoon said sternly.

Mina did as told and hung up. "It's good that I talked to Mina-ssi. Now I am relieved. " Y/n smiled and went to bed.

NEXT MORNING

The newspaper man rang the doorbell of booth the houses. Both y/n and jungkook opened the door.

Y/n was with her hair tired in a towel and in casual clothes. Jungkook was in his work clothes a white shirt and black dress pants.

Both glared at each other. "You rang the bell? " Jungkook asked.

"Yes site your paper and bill. " The man said and went towards jungkook. He gave jungkook the bill and went towards y/n.

"Why didn't you brought business paper yesterday ? " Jungkook asked. The man was about to give the paper to y/n but turned and went to jungkook.

"I think it must be the rookie. He doesn't know about it, it won't happen next time. " The man said and again went to y/n.

"Your money. " Jungkook said and again man went to jungkook without giving paper to y/n making her frustrated.

As he was taking the money he saw that the paper's front page had photo off y/n and jungkook.

He took out the paper. "Mam, it has both of your photo. " The man said. Both y/n and jungkook looked at him.

"Your news gets published in newspaper ? " The man was surprised.

"I didn't knew. " He said. "Let me see. " Y/n said. "Yes." The man went near her and said out loud. Y/n looked at him in disbelief.

"Jeon jungkook is a good CEO but, is he a good father ? " He read. Jungkook clenched his teeth and glared at y/n.
