Ch. 4
Morning
As long as they were adolescents in their teenage years, boys and girls would surely harbor fantasies about their first kiss—there was no doubt about this.
Yinhua, of course, was no exception.
However, what happened this morning had come so suddenly that she even doubted whether she was still dreaming.
Yet the soft and searing sensation lingering on her lips told her clearly that this was reality.
In the mornings, Yinhua always remained in a groggy state.
When she first heard the door to her bedroom being opened, she thought it was Aili coming to wake her up, and was even curious as to why she hadn't just burst in as usual.
Still, being hypoglycemic, Yinhua didn't think much of it; her mind felt far too heavy and the pull of sleep dragged her under once more.
Then she realized that the face in front of her belonged unmistakably to her sworn friend, Xiya.
The soft touch of the kiss, mixed with an indescribable fragrance, lingered on her lips, and Yinhua's heart began to pound uncontrollably.
The frosty, snow-like chill that usually colored Xiya's expression seemed to melt away as if bathed in summer sunlight, replaced by a face tinted with passion and shyness beneath the scorching sun.
A face so pure and angelic, it amazed all who saw it.
A figure so perfect and devilish, it could inspire envy.
Born to nobility, she was not only beautiful, but also carried an astonishing air and grace.
Having her first kiss taken away so inexplicably, Yinhua's whole body went rigid, chaos overwhelming her as she stuttered helplessly, "Y-You—what on earth are you doing?!"
"Ah, well, the book said that giving your friend an unforgettable good morning kiss would keep her full of energy at 120% all day long. To make sure you listen attentively during class, I sacrificed my first kiss."
"What sort of book were you reading?! That's not how you give a good morning kiss! And it was my first kiss too—shouldn't that be the point here?!"
"Is that so? But I really don't think there's anything wrong with what the book said. I simply followed what was written."
Xiya replied, puzzled.
"Then you're just a bookworm. Looks like it's time to give you a wake-up call."
As she spoke, Yinhua abruptly pulled Xiya onto the bed. Having learned swordsmanship freely, Yinhua was, of course, a bit stronger than Xiya.
"Seems it's time you learned what hell is really like!"
Yinhua gave a devilish laugh, her hands relentlessly tickling Xiya in all sorts of places.
"Hahaha, I give in, let me go! I won't dare next time, I promise!"
"Oh? Planning for a next time already? You're pretty bold—take this!"
"Hahaha, I was wrong, I was wrong! Please, Princess, have mercy, let me go!"
...................... After a round of mayhem......................
The two girls, clothes in disarray, collapsed breathless onto the bed.
"Well, feeling more awake now?"
"Yes, I've never felt so awake on a morning before."
"Should I wake you like this every day then?"
"No, no, no, if you do that a few more times, I fear my heart will stop from the shock."
The two girls looked at each other and laughed softly.
"My dear miss, I know being woken by a friend is delightful, but you have no time left to waste,"
Aili said expressionlessly as she kicked open the door.
After seeing the situation in the room, she didn't react much.
"Ahem,"
Aili cleared her throat, then turned and gently closed the door.
A string of question marks popped up above Yinhua's head.
She couldn't understand what her usually stern maid was getting at, until she looked down at herself and Xiya—both rambling on the bed in their rumpled clothes...
"Aaaahhh, you've got it all wrong!!! It's not what it looks like! Xiya, hurry up and explain to her! Otherwise, there's no way I'll ever clear my name!"
"Ah, um, mmm~~~how embarrassing."
Xiya murmured, burying her face in the pillow.
"What are you blushing about?!"
Yinhua sighed at the ceiling.
........................... Lilies swayed in the wind.......................
"So that's how it is? Miss Xiya was only waking the miss? I thought your relationship had developed far too quickly for that,"
Aili sighed.
Xiya leaned towards Yinhua's ear: "Princess, miss Aili just whispered, almost as quiet as a mosquito, 'What a shame.'"
"You lecherous maid."
Yinhua clenched her chopsticks tightly.
"Ah, ah, miss Xiya, at times like this, it's the mark of a lady to remain silent,"
Aili said.
"R-Really? I see."
"Hey, hey, what are you saying to my friend?"
"My dear miss, please mind your own manners, and do not shout like this."
"You—!"
"You're going to be late for school, Yinhua, we should go."
Seeing that war was about to erupt, Xiya hurriedly changed the subject.
"Tch, wait for me..."
"All right, all right, let's go!"
Xiya quickly cut Yinhua off and pulled her out.
"Be careful on your way,"
Aili gave a standard maid's curtsy.
After the two disappeared from view—
An icy gleam like a frozen cellar flashed in Aili's eyes: "Louguan Xiya..."
In an instant, the lilies in the courtyard withered into black ash, scattering into the air.

Welp, something happened...
Aili is angry that Xiya stole Yinhua's first kiss.
Hmm, Yuri it is...
