THEIRS:A DEAL WITH THE MOON GODDESS

Chapter 8: Moving in

Carlos p.o.v

A loud groan of frustration escaped my throat, rather than pleasure. The girl underneath me saw it as a good response and picked up her pace.

I grabbed a fistful of her hair tighter than I intended.

"Ouch," she winced.

She let my groan slip off her mouth. She peered up from between my legs. Understanding my facial expression, she rose up, licking her lips greedily, her eyes filled with lust. I could smell her arousal.

I didn't know what was happening to me. The feeling was foreign. Carlo of days ago would have sprung into action immediately. This girl showed up! I mean, I didn't get my reputation as a certified f***boy by dillydallying about with women who were forever ready to climb into my bed. Luca has been nothing but a growling torment in my life. His constant howling and pacing in my head was making concentration hard for me.

It became even worse after I had gone to see her, rather the intensity of her skin on mine aroused a dangerous primal lust I had kept locked away in my head.

I had been lazing around in my office when Jay knocked on my office to announce the arrival of this girl, Aries, Aurora, A... urgh. I didn't even remember her name. I had willingly jumped at her offer to be satisfied by her, but unfortunately, I felt no form of pleasure, rather a more annoyed Luca tugged angrily at my guts.

"What's wrong, baby?" she asked, running her hand over my chest, then pausing momentarily on my midriff. I flinched at her touch as I threw my head back. I ran my hand over my hair.

"Step back," I ordered, repulsed at her attempt to kiss me. Still thinking I wasn't serious, she kept caressing me. Well not before I grabbed her hand and shoved her backwards.

"Look Aurora…Aries…" I trailed off, struggling to remember her name.

"It's Annie," she corrected, her tone laced with anger and sadness.

"Right," I responded absentmindedly. "Let's do this another time," I said, picking up her bag and the T-shirt she had discarded earlier.

"What?! No, please, I need you now," she protested, stomping her foot on the floor like a petulant child demanding attention. "Just feel me," she added, her voice dripping with desperation. "I bet you'll change your mind." She bit her lip in an attempt to sound seductive, but it only grated on my nerves.

I let out a low growl, my patience evaporating. "Enough," I said, my voice sharp. Her eyes widened in shock and fear, and I could see the reflection of my anger in her gaze. I had no doubt my eyes had turned red, a display of my frustration.

Without another word, she hastily gathered her belongings and fled from the room, her earlier bravado reduced to silence.

I exhaled deeply, tucking myself back into my shorts, trying to rein in the storm of emotions swirling within me.

Mara's voice cut through my thoughts. "You are both doomed," I shook my head to rid it off that negative thought.

A soft knock rang through the door,I ushered the person in,it was Jay. "My Lord," he bowed down in form of respect. "What do you want Jay?" I asked, my tone sounding uninterested.

"I don't know the kinds of pack members you would want me to select,to move with us." He said, his head still down.

I had almost forgotten that I was moving in with my mate today. Alongside those brothers of mine that had left my space earlier.

"Pick anyone and be fast about it," I ordered,as I quickly rose up to my feet, and left the office.

As I reached the door, a sudden wave of dizziness slammed into me. My vision blurred, and my head felt like it was being split open from the inside.

"Argh!" I groaned, clutching the doorframe for support before collapsing to my knees. My breathing turned ragged, and sweat trickled down my temples as the unbearable pressure intensified.

Then, I heard it Luca's voice.

Camilla. Camilla. Camilla.

His chant echoed in my head, relentless and consuming. Each repetition was a hammer against my already fragile control.

"Stop it, Luca!" I growled aloud, gripping my head tighter, but he didn't relent.

She is ours. Claim her. Now!

His voice grew louder, resonating through every cell in my body. My wolf wasn't just demanding he was desperate, enraged by my refusal to give in to the bond.

The name he kept repeating Camilla sent a pang of both yearning and confusion through me. Ever since that morning I went to her house, Luca's obsession with her had started taking over every part of me.

"What does she have to do with this?" I muttered through clenched teeth, but Luca didn't answer. He just kept chanting her name like a broken record.

The pressure in my head surged again, and I fell forward, my palms hitting the cold marble floor. My vision swirled into darkness, and for a moment, I thought I was going to pass out.

"Lord Carlo!" A voice broke through the haze, and I faintly recognized it as Jay's.

He rushed to my side, his face pale with concern as he crouched next to me. "What's happening, my Lord? Should I call for the healer?"

I shook my head weakly, still trying to catch my breath. "No... I'm fine," I managed, even though I felt anything but fine. I couldn't let anyone see how much this was affecting me…not my pack, not my brothers, and especially not my enemies.

Jay hesitated but eventually nodded, stepping back to give me space. I forced myself to stand, my legs wobbling beneath me.

"Prepare the cars," I commanded, my voice strained but steady enough to mask the chaos within.

He bowed and hurried off, leaving me alone with the silence and Luca's unrelenting whispers of Camilla.

I closed my eyes, drawing in a deep breath to gather myself. The connection was getting stronger, pulling me toward her like a magnet.

Whatever this was, I couldn't avoid it any longer. Camilla was going to change everything.
