The Young Urban Doctor

Chapter 26 A Strong Start but a Weak Finish

The bewildered Li Jiaqing heaved a sigh of relief upon seeing the school security guards arriving.

He was acquainted with these security guards, so his courage immediately swelled.

"What's going on?" the leading plump security guard yelled as he brandished a baton, shouting at the noisy crowd, "Who's fighting? Which department are you from? Just the start of school and already fighting, do you not wish to be disciplined?"

Because of his connection with the school's Martial Arts Team, Jin Qicai was also well acquainted with the school's security guards. Seeing this group of guards approaching, the originally disheveled Jin Qicai immediately felt as if he had seen his saviors, and rushed forward to grab the arm of the leading plump guard, starting to lodge his complaint.

"They're all freshmen, flaunting a few mediocre kung fu moves and daring to beat people up," Jin Qicai angrily pointed at Luo Ziling and Cao Jianhui, "Comrade guard, look at our group of buddies, all knocked down by them, and I've been seriously injured by them, you must find a way to punish them. Ouch, I'm in so much pain, I need to go to the hospital."

The group of security guards certainly recognized Jin Qicai and knew that he was the deputy captain of the school's Martial Arts Team, who often got into fights with other students at the school and was always followed by a group of lackeys, which gave him a significant reputation.

They couldn't understand how Jin Qicai, who usually bullied others, had ended up being bullied today?

Looking at the other side, there were only three or four people, while there were more than ten people on Jin Qicai's side. More than a dozen people, and Jin Qicai, being the deputy captain of the school Martial Arts Team, was beaten so miserably by three or four freshmen, which was quite shocking to them.

The guards also noticed Li Jiaqing who had retreated to the back.

Li Jiaqing was someone from an extraordinary family background, a fact they were well aware of. They also knew that Jin Qicai was Li Jiaqing's underling at the school, almost his enforcer. Although they didn't often engage in bullying men and domineering women, there were occasional incidents of bullying the weak. Provoking this young master could potentially lead to a very bad outcome, even if it might not always be horrendous.

These few freshmen, what kind of background did they have, to dare to provoke Li Jiaqing?

In Yanjing University, of course, there were hidden dragons and crouching tigers, many heirs of influential families with terrifying backgrounds who studied here very modestly.

They normally never provoked anyone, but if someone provoked them, that's when trouble would really escalate.

Luo Ziling and the others didn't seem frightened at all in the face of this conflict, and since they were skilled, the group of security guards also didn't dare speak harshly to them.

In the end, the plump security leader asked both parties involved in the fight to follow them to the security office to resolve the conflict.

While leading both parties to the security office, the leading plump guard exchanged a glance with a thin tall security guard beside him.

When his colleague came closer, he quietly instructed him to investigate the situation with Luo Ziling and the others.

The tall thin security guard immediately went to carry out the order.

Luo Ziling and Cao Jianhui, seeing the school security intervening, didn't resist and followed the guards along with Li Fuming and Wu Longjiang, heading to the school security office together with the other group.

On the way there, Cao Jianhui whispered to Luo Ziling not to worry and immediately took out his mobile phone to make a call.

"Brother, I got into a fight at school, the other party started it, and they seem to have some clout. You're not going to intervene? If you don't, I'll tell Dad and Mom all your dirty secrets. It's up to you what you do," Cao Jianhui said angrily and then hung up the phone.

Walking beside Cao Jianhui, Luo Ziling clearly heard the content of the conversation and couldn't help but be greatly surprised.

However, he didn't ask Cao Jianhui any questions.

Ouyang Huihui and Li Jiaqing were walking together, and as they approached the security office, she slowed down her pace.

Li Jiaqing, a bit puzzled, also slowed down following her.

Under the watchful eyes of everyone, Ouyang Huihui gestured for Li Jiaqing to step aside and speak.

The two of them avoided the crowd and walked over to a nearby large tree, where they talked for a while, after which Li Jiaqing returned with an unsightly expression.

"Alright, we won't hold today's incident against them," Li Jiaqing declared in front of everyone. "Let's go!"

With that, he patted the security team leader's shoulder and whispered a few words in his ear.

The security team leader looked surprised, but didn't say anything, permitting them to leave.

Jin Qicai was the most shocked, but after Li Jiaqing gave him a look, he also didn't express anything further.

Watching Li Jiaqing and the injured Jin Qicai speak quietly and walk away, Cao Jianhui and Luo Ziling appeared perplexed.

"What's going on?" asked Cao Jianhui, utterly baffled. "Why did they just leave?"

As he spoke, he couldn't help yelling resentfully at the security team, "Why did you let them go? They started the trouble today, I only struck back because I was forced to. They owe us an apology."

He had just called his brother to ask for help and to notify the university, even had a quarrel with his brother over it. How could he be content when the other party just left?

"Forget it, forget it, since they're backing down, let's just let it go," Luo Ziling, on the other hand, breathed a sigh of relief, genuinely afraid the situation would escalate.

He didn't want to stir up trouble upon just arriving at the university. Even though he couldn't help but fight back earlier, this was still his sentiment.

Better to avoid unnecessary complications, especially as he knew the incident was instigated by Ouyang Feifei.

Li Jiaqing's departure must have also been at Ouyang Huihui's request, given that this woman likely didn't want to blow the situation out of proportion either.

Cao Jianhui was still discontent, venting his frustration by shouting at the security guards.

The guards didn't stop them from leaving, clearly showing favoritism towards that group, which naturally angered Cao Jianhui.

In the end, it took Luo Ziling pulling and dragging Cao Jianhui away.

Watching both parties depart, the security guards let out a sigh of relief.

The slightly overweight security team leader, watching Luo Ziling's group walk away, quietly asked his colleague who he had sent to check on the students' backgrounds, "Do these people have any significant backgrounds?"

"Captain, I just checked. That student named Cao Jianhui seems to come from no ordinary family. The other three are average people," the skinny, tall guard whispered back, "But my cousin can only access so much information. He wouldn't be able to find out about people who truly have powerful backgrounds."

The plump guard then asked, "What about that beautiful woman? She seems to have a significant status. Did you manage to find any information on her?"

The skinny, tall guard shook his head, "No, couldn't find any specific details about her, but she must come from an extraordinary family, or Li Jiaqing wouldn't listen to her!"

"They didn't make a big fuss out of this situation, which is fortunate!" the plump guard exhaled in relief. Their biggest fear was dealing with students who had status and background—it was just too problematic. "If they aren't holding a grudge, we shouldn't interfere any further. Alright, remember the one who fought fiercely today, and that plump fellow just now—make a mental note not to provoke them easily."

"Yes, Captain!"
