Chapter 1825: A Sudden Accident
"I might leave Qiantang tomorrow," Yang Qingyin took a deep breath and responded coldly to Yang Yunlin, "If there's anything, we'll talk about it when I return to Yanjing!"
Yang Yunlin on the other end of the phone didn't expect Yang Qingyin to refuse directly, and was momentarily annoyed.
But before he could get angry, Yang Qingyin continued, "Dad, you're in Hangzhou on official business, while I'm on a personal trip. You know my nature; I go wherever I want, whenever I want. So, by the time you come to Hangzhou, I might already have left. You're so busy; focus on your business first. I've grown up; I know how to handle things. I'll hang up now!"
With that, she hung up without waiting for Yang Yunlin to respond.
Yang Qingyin didn't turn off her phone, and Yang Yunlin didn't call back.
"Lost interest, huh?" Luo Ziling asked Yang Qingyin with a chuckle.
"Yeah," Yang Qingyin smiled bitterly, "I was in quite a good mood, but now it's ruined. It's really dull!"
"Does the scenery of West Lake seem less beautiful now too?" Luo Ziling continued smiling.
"A bit," Yang Qingyin looked troubled, "Actually, the view from Leifeng Pagoda is quite nice; you can capture the panoramic view of West Lake. But beautiful scenery needs a good mood to appreciate. My dad ruined my good mood."
"Then let's leave. If one man ruined your mood, another man will bring you a better one," Luo Ziling said, grabbing Yang Qingyin's hand, "Let's find another place, another mood."
Yang Qingyin nodded and left Leifeng Pagoda hand-in-hand with Luo Ziling.
"Let's climb Yuhuang Mountain," Yang Qingyin suggested as they walked out of Leifeng Pagoda, pointing in the direction of Yuhuang Mountain, "Not many people go there; maybe we can find a good mood there."
"No problem, wherever you want to go, I'll go with you." Luo Ziling naturally wouldn't refuse.
So, after leaving the Leifeng Pagoda scenic area, they headed to climb Yuhuang Mountain.
The mountain forest scenery of Yuhuang Mountain is very beautiful. No matter from which direction you climb, the stone paths are always winding through green trees and bamboo. However, compared to other places by West Lake, the scenery here is a bit inferior, and there aren't many tourists.
This suited Luo Ziling and Yang Qingyin perfectly.
The crowd by the West Lake was a bit of a spoiler.
If there were no tourists by West Lake, and all that could be seen was the scenery, it would feel like paradise.
Although Yuhuang Tianfeng is also one of the Ten Scenes of West Lake, the scenery of Yuhuang Mountain is significantly less compared to other places, plus it involves climbing, so many tourists don't come. This suited Luo Ziling and Yang Qingyin perfectly, and they even sneaked a few kisses when nobody was around.
Once, even when there was no one behind but someone in front, Luo Ziling forced Yang Qingyin to kiss him.
This sneaky feeling was as thrilling as it could get.
The bad mood caused by Yang Yunlin's call quickly dissipated.
But soon, someone else came to spoil their mood—this time, it was Yang Qingyin's mother.
Chen Qiaoyu called to remind Yang Qingyin that Yang Yunlin had suddenly changed his plans to come to Hangzhou, advising them to be cautious.
Chen Qiaoyu was kindly reminding Yang Qingyin, but she didn't know that her kind reminder just destroyed the good mood Yang Qingyin had just regained.
Chen Qiaoyu was also worried about Yang Qingyin arguing with Yang Yunlin, so she said a few more words, urging Yang Qingyin to try to avoid conflict with Yang Yunlin since Yang Yunlin had official activities and couldn't abandon important matters to bother with love affairs.
After hanging up on Chen Qiaoyu, Yang Qingyin, with a dark expression, complained, "Why is my mom so nagging?"
"She means well."
"I think my dad is still suspicious, believing last time's car accident involving my brother had something to do with you!" Yang Qingyin hesitated a bit but still voiced this mood-ruining speculation, "I guess he must have got some information, therefore he's sticking to his wrong judgment, otherwise he wouldn't be like this."
"That's probably it; he might have some evidence, or someone deliberately framed me, and it happened to land in his hands, so he insists on this point," Luo Ziling said with some helplessness, "If he insists this way, there's really no way to convince him."
"But I trust you wouldn't do anything to Qingye."
"Thank you for your trust," Luo Ziling smiled, "If there's a chance, I'd be willing to talk to your dad face to face."
"Even if you two talked face to face, he wouldn't believe your explanation." Yang Qingyin was quite touched by Luo Ziling's generosity, feeling very guilty inside, which made her speak with a lot of remorse, "My dad is really over the top."
"Alright, let's not talk about these things. How about turning off the phone to avoid further disturbances?"
Yang Qingyin thought for a moment, and indeed turned off her phone.
Luo Ziling didn't turn off his phone; he thought he wouldn't be disturbed.
Just as Luo Ziling and Yang Qingyin were readjusting their mood and enjoying themselves on Yuhuang Mountain, in a high-end five-star hotel's presidential suite by West Lake, two young people were having tea.
"Brother, our people were captured by the ones around Luo Ziling; it's really careless," the younger one complained to the slightly older one, "I really don't know what these idiots are doing."
"A blessing in disguise may turn into a blessing," said the older young man with a grin, "The people we sent to follow them were captured, maybe that's a good thing. What he confessed has nothing to do with us."
"Brother, I'm still a bit worried," the younger one whispered, "If they confess that they were instructed by the Yang Family, Luo Ziling might not believe it and suspect us instead."
"So what if he suspects us? Do you think he's not suspicious now? The more chaotic things get, the better. Anyway, Yang Yunlin is very displeased with Luo Ziling, thinking he was behind the thing with Yang Qingye. Letting their misunderstandings pile up is good. Only in muddy waters can one fish."
"That's true."
Just then, the doorbell rang.
The younger one stood up somewhat displeased.
Walking to the door, he looked through the peephole and saw that it was their bodyguard outside, so he opened the door.
"What's up?" he asked the bodyguard somewhat unhappily.
But to his surprise, the bodyguard didn't speak; he just painfully looked at him.
Before the young man could react, a few men emerged from either side of the door, and those dressed in black swiftly rushed in, pushing the door open.
Then a gun was pressed against the young man's head.
"Don't scream, or your brain will get blown out!" The armed man in black menacingly threatened.
Another man in black rushed to the other young man with unbelievable speed, also pointing a dark gun barrel at his head.
The two young men who were confident a moment ago suddenly became deflated.
