The Young Urban Doctor

Chapter 1823: Fortune-Telling

Yang Qingyin, who was lying on Luo Ziling's shoulder, also heard Ling Ruonan's words and couldn't help but feel a shock.

"When is he coming to Hangzhou?" Luo Ziling asked Ling Ruonan indifferently, "Has he already arrived?"

"His flight is tomorrow morning, and he should be arriving in Hangzhou around noon. He has a public event, accompanying the visiting Mayor of London. This wasn't a planned event, but rather a last-minute arrangement. Such a sudden arrangement is likely related to you two."

"If he comes, it doesn't mean he can find us," upon hearing this, Luo Ziling sighed with relief and laughed, "He surely wouldn't abandon his official duties to chase us down, right? Mom, don't worry, nothing will happen."

"How can nothing happen? You just got to Hangzhou and immediately faced such troublesome things?" Ling Ruonan couldn't help but blame Luo Ziling, "You don't know, that little incident almost caused a public issue. If you can't prove your innocence, your reputation could be ruined by such a small thing."

"A blessing in disguise, as the ancient saying goes, is quite true." Luo Ziling chuckled and said, "They might not expect that this deliberately framed incident could actually boost my reputation and make me even more popular."

"That's not important," Ling Ruonan interrupted Luo Ziling, "What you need to think about is why they are targeting you and what traps might be waiting for you next."

"Mom, it's fine. I have plenty of people with me who can handle these things," Luo Ziling said, again assuring Ling Ruonan that he would be very careful. If things really got troublesome, he would just head to Yuezhou.

Seeing Luo Ziling say this, Ling Ruonan had to sigh and stop persuading.

Knowing Luo Ziling was out having fun, Ling Ruonan didn't say much more. She reminded Luo Ziling to be careful again and said she would have Yang Xiaodong bring a few people to Hangzhou to join them, then hung up the phone.

"Your dad is coming to Hangzhou," Luo Ziling turned to Yang Qingyin, who was still lying on his shoulder, and said, "Do you want to see him?"

"Forget it, I won't see him. Meeting him will just make everyone unhappy." Yang Qingyin shook her head in refusal, as she was upset and held a lot of resentment towards Yang Yunlin. Therefore, she didn't plan to see her father.

She also knew that if she saw Yang Yunlin in Hangzhou, things would only become more troublesome, and her good mood would be ruined.

"Then let's not bother with these things; let's keep playing." Luo Ziling said, smiling at Yang Qingyin on his shoulder, "My mom is really trying to ruin our mood."

"She is just afraid something might happen to us and is worried," Yang Qingyin replied.

"Alright, then we'll be a bit more careful."

"I'll remind Xiaoli to be careful," Yang Qingyin said, taking out her phone to call Ye Xiaoli, who was following behind them.

Without Yang Qingyin's instructions, the events of today had already made Ye Xiaoli very angry and more vigilant.

She was following closely behind Luo Ziling and the others, along with another bodyguard of Luo Ziling.

Two other bodyguards were walking in front of Luo Ziling and Yang Qingyin, ensuring Luo Ziling's safety in this manner.

Fortunately, all four of them were experts in surveillance and protection, so even though they were protecting Luo Ziling and Yang Qingyin very closely, it didn't affect their display of affection.

Luo Ziling's strength had almost fully recovered, so carrying Yang Qingyin on his back was no issue. However, Yang Qingyin also knew that Luo Ziling shouldn't exhaust himself too much. Therefore, after letting Luo Ziling carry her for a while and enjoying the warmth, she got off his back and continued to walk hand in hand.

After walking to the end of the Su Causeway, they entered Flower Harbor Watching Fish Park.

After strolling in Flower Harbor Watching Fish Park for about an hour, they turned towards Prince Bay Park,

Prince Bay Park isn't particularly appealing, at least not for Yang Qingyin and Luo Ziling, who don't enjoy such modern spots. They weren't interested in the tulip exhibition there either.

So, after a lap around the park, they left and went to Jingci Temple nearby.

Jingci Temple is also very famous, along with Lingyin Temple, as the two major Buddhist courtyards in Qiantang have many legends.

Jingci Temple gained fame because of Ji Gong. Originally a place for high monks to practice, it has now become a tourist site, charging entrance fees and incense money, earning much more than ordinary tourist spots.

Walking hand in hand into Jingci Temple, Luo Ziling asked Yang Qingyin, "Do you want to light some incense?"

"Do you actually believe in that?" Yang Qingyin rolled her eyes at Luo Ziling.

"It's just for peace of mind. Do you think everyone who lights incense and worships Buddha believes in Buddhism? Some do it for peace of mind, others just for fun."

"Forget it, let's just walk around," Yang Qingyin declined as she didn't like the smell of incense.

As they were about to go deeper into the temple, someone on the side called out to them.

"Hey, you two, come over for a reading," it was a fortune teller calling them, "Looking at your unique bone structure, you must not be ordinary people. However, things haven't been going smoothly for you two lately. Let me give you a reading and guide you through your troubles!"

"We didn't bring any money," Luo Ziling shook his head and refused, "We don't get fortunes told, nor do we need others to guide us!"

"No money? Who uses cash nowadays? There's WeChat and Alipay," the fortune-telling "master" disdainfully took out WeChat and Alipay QR codes and said, "Also, talking about money is vulgar. The best fortune readings are only given to destined people. The moment you two walked in, I noticed you, and since you happened to pass by me, it means we are destined. Today, I'll read your fortune for free, only giving it as a gift, not selling it."

Yang Qingyin's curiosity was piqued, and she pulled Luo Ziling over to the fortune teller, asking with interest, "You said things haven't been going smoothly for us lately, how so?"

The fortune teller looked at Luo Ziling and then at Yang Qingyin, then solemnly said, "You two are a couple, but aren't recognized by your families, right?"

"What else?" Yang Qingyin didn't confirm or deny it, and pressed for more.

The fortune teller didn't mind and continued, "You are well matched, but truly being together is as hard as reaching the heavens."

The fortune teller's words made Yang Qingyin's expression change.

Luo Ziling, on the other hand, had no change in expression. He smiled and asked, "Why do you say that?"

"Because your destinies aren't very strong, not enough to become husband and wife. Everyone has past lives, present lives, and future lives. In your past lives, there was no connection, and in this life, you met by chance and fell for each other. But it doesn't mean you can't be together; it means that if you want to be together, it will take many efforts, even going through extreme struggles."

"..." Yang Qingyin's face changed again.
