The Young Urban Doctor

Chapter 1817: The Truth May Be Delayed, But It Will Always Come

In a high-end hotel not far from the West Lake, two young people stood by the window facing the street, watching the dense crowd of tourists by the lakeside.

"Bro, it's hard to believe, such a little trick can put on such a great show. Look at how fiercely they're cursing; it's so satisfying to watch. Now, Luo Ziling's reputation is sure to be ruined."

The other man glanced at the young man speaking and said irritably, "If you think this can ruin his reputation, then you're underestimating him. Let's just see how he handles this situation."

"I heard that among the people around Luo Ziling is a hacker expert. Could he hack into the nearby surveillance system and retrieve video footage from the incident location?"

"That place happens to be a blind spot of surveillance," the slightly older young man said with an amused smile at the corner of his mouth. "Even if they have the ability to hack the surveillance system, they won't find any useful footage."

The slightly younger man felt a sense of relief but suddenly thought of something and immediately said, "Bro, could someone have taken a video at the scene?"

The other man was taken aback upon hearing this and then sighed heavily, "We forgot about that possibility. Looks like our efforts were in vain again."

"So what should we do?"

"There should still be more drama to watch, let's just enjoy the show!"

"Alright!"

Luo Ziling naturally didn't know that two acquaintances were standing not far from where they were playing near the West Lake, "commenting on the situation." After making some arrangements, he told Yang Qingyin not to worry and to continue enjoying the outing.

Yang Qingyin was still uneasy; her good mood that had just recovered before the incident was gone again.

But seeing Luo Ziling still in high spirits, she eventually smiled, hooked her arm around his, and continued walking forward.

When they reached the pavilion near the lakeside corner, just a few hundred meters from the Broken Bridge, Luo Ziling received a call from another subordinate. Hearing what the other person said on the phone, Luo Ziling was instantly overjoyed.

"Don't worry about anything," Luo Ziling whispered softly into Yang Qingyin's ear. "Let's ignore the online chatter for now and enjoy ourselves."

Yang Qingyin glanced at Luo Ziling with suspicion. Seeing his cheerful smile, she knew he wasn't lying to her and felt relieved.

The two of them continued walking forward, and their pace quickened.

In just a moment, they arrived at the Broken Bridge.

The Broken Bridge is a junction where Beishan Road and Bai Causeway meet, and the flow of people was even denser here.

Having just been schemed against, and now in a crowded place, Ye Xiaoli and Luo Ziling's other two bodyguards approached to prevent any unexpected incidents.

Originally, Luo Ziling had three people with him, one went to handle some business, but with Ye Xiaoli, there were still three people, more than enough to handle general situations.

Luo Ziling and Yang Qingyin didn't pay much mind to it. They didn't linger long by the Broken Bridge but directly headed in the direction of Bai Causeway.

As they walked past Bai Causeway, they stopped by the lake to admire the surrounding lake and mountain scenery.

"In such weather, if Xu Xian and Lady Bai were out on an outing, they wouldn't be able to meet on the Broken Bridge; you'd barely have a chance to stand still with the crowd pushing you along," Luo Ziling remarked with a smile, looking at the bustling scene on the Broken Bridge. "Perhaps, romantic stories are more likely to happen on the Broken Bridge at midnight."

"We should come at midnight sometime," Yang Qingyin said playfully, "Reading Liu Sanbian's 'The withered moon at the willow shore,' I always think of West Lake and Bai Causeway, Su Causeway. Although I know this poem wasn't written in Hangzhou, I always feel it's about the sentiment by the West Lake. The withered moon and early morning wind, the empty and desolate West Lake are a bit bleak, but also very evocative."

"Let's stroll until midnight today, and we can get some drinks to enjoy as well."

"Isn't that exactly what Liu Yong wrote in his poem, 'Where will I wake up sober tonight, at the willow shore'?" Yang Qingyin was intrigued by Luo Ziling's words.

"Then after dinner tonight, we'll rest a bit and come out again. We'll wander until midnight and go back when we're satisfied."

"No problem," Yang Qingyin said happily, her mood somewhat restored after just being wrecked by earlier events. "Let's meet up at ten tonight."

"Bring some beer or yellow wine, and some snacks to go with it."

"Just hoping nothing spoils our mood again. I have a bad feeling; hope I'm not jinxing it," Yang Qingyin said as she put her arm around Luo Ziling's shoulder. "When we go out tonight and tomorrow, it looks like we'll need to be on guard against being followed."

"There shouldn't be anyone tracking us, at least no one following us here, unless those causing trouble ambush us on the way. The West Lake is so large, and our itinerary is not fixed. We go where we want. If they aren't following but merely spying along the way, it would be hard to place enough people. If it's really like that, then whoever planned these incidents is actually quite easy to investigate."

"Let's take a boat ride in a bit, drift to the center of the lake and come back, then visit the Lake Heart Pavilion and Little Yingzhou before coming back out," Yang Qingyin agreed to Luo Ziling's suggestion.

"Sounds good, we'll head to Zhongshan Park Pier to catch a boat in a bit." Luo Ziling nodded, then pulled out his phone, asking Yang Qingyin to stand with Baochu Pagoda as a backdrop so he could take her photo.

Yang Qingyin didn't refuse, obligingly standing by the lake while Luo Ziling took photos of her. Afterward, she took some of Luo Ziling, and then they took some selfies together.

Although their mood had been quite dampened just now, after playing around for a while, it was mostly restored.

This time of year is when the West Lake is most beautiful.

The gentle willow swaying, peach blossoms in full bloom, lush green grass, the misty lake surface—it all brings out the most graceful and Southern beauty. It's no exaggeration to say that even if you visit around the West Lake dozens of times, you'll never tire of it on your next visit.

"The flowers almost dazzle the eyes, the shallow grass barely covers the horse's hooves; the most loved trip to the east lake is never enough, the white sandy causeway under the green willow shade." Yang Qingyin twirled by the lakeside, recited half a verse, then laughed, "I really envy the ancients. They could ride horses, walking on the green grass-covered Bai Causeway. The West Lake back then must have been even more beautiful."

"Being invaded by the city must have lost some of its aura, but the city has become more beautiful because of the West Lake. There's a gain and loss in everything!"

In the midst of this reflection, Luo Ziling received a call from the subordinate who hadn't followed them.

After listening to what the other person said, Luo Ziling couldn't help but laugh.

He immediately took out his phone, prepared to post something on Weibo.

Seeing many comments and messages on his Weibo post, Luo Ziling was quite amazed at the power of the internet.

He didn't read those comments. Instead, he directly posted a new Weibo message: "The truth may be delayed, but it will not be absent. The most thrilling part is about to unveil, please wait for half an hour,"
