Chapter 291: Wang Yong's pains.
"How did you get into contact with these people in the first place?" Bo practically exploded with the question. It was packed with anger.
The idiot sitting in front of him was the reason why his brother's hang between life and death after the accident and why he was sitting in a wheel chair right now.
"You don't understand." Wang Yong shook his head and shouted back at Bo. "You grew up differently from me. You had everything, money, cars, good schools, nice clothes, fancy watches, an endless supply of food all everything wonderful that life had to offer. You have had it easy and...."
Both Caishen and Bo clenched their teeth.
Caishen told him, "Shut your mouth because you know nothing about us. Just because we don't wear our it on our sleeves doesn't mean that we have not experienced pain. It doesn't mean that we have had it easy as you presume.
You don't know the kind of grief we carried around because we were fatherless boys or the kind of pressure we have always endured to be the best at everything because it was expected of us.
At least, you have had a father your whole life who continues to love and dote on you."
Wang Yong looked away from the two brothers and he clenched his jaw. "You have never known hunger at least. Father could never hold down a steady job and yet his medical expenses were huge. My mother worked as a cleaner in other people's house. She would sneak food out for us sometimes or bring home handouts that they tossed at her.
We lived like beggars and thieves while you lived and slept in a mansion.
Have you ever worn a shoe until it was down to the last sole with a hole in the middle? Have your ever stolen money from your classmates? Have you ever considered selling your body to support your family?"
He looked at Bo Caishen with a daze in his eyes as if he was in a trance. "I did some things....." he took a deep angry breath and smashed the wine table down on the table. "Your pain is not comparable to mine."
"And your past cannot be changed." Caishen informed him. "You seem to be under the illusion that we owe you something for the suffering you endured but that would be false. The Zhang family doesn't owe you anything. Our father Zhang Xian was declared dead, nobody knew that he was out there and he was suffering along with a new family.
You have witnessed it for yourself that the moment our grandparents found out about him, they didn't hesitate in bringing you all back despite the fact that your mother's presence would bring instability within the family.
You can keep sucking up to the elders as you wish, your mother can become the official wife of Zhang Xian as she desires. Bo and I don't really care anymore since our mother has decided she wants nothing to do with the mess anymore.
All i need is to know how you came into contact into Dahei trust. Who have you been dealing with? In fact, let me cut this short by showing you some pictures and you can point out which of these people you have met or seen before."
Caishen had an envelope with him that was sitting on the table. He opened it and started laying down pictures slowly.
"This is every member of the Fu family that has shares or happens to be connected to Dahei trust and insurance. Look at them up close and see if you recognize anyone."
"Why should i do this for you?" Wang Yong refused to look at the pictures.
"Are you stupid?" Bo blurted out. "Are you forgetting that we also know about your involvement in my brother's accident? We have pictures too you dummy. We can also send you to prison just like whoever it is that has a rope around your neck. The only reason why we haven't done so yet is because you are a Zhang.
We don't want the world hearing about this, that one brother was involved in a plot to kill another. If you want the chance to salvage even the smallest bit of a cordial relationship with us then you should figure out where your loyalties lie because if you are not with us, you are against us."
Wang Yong remained quiet with his eyes lowered but his aura was apprehensive. He seemed to be giving the matter very serious thought. On one side was someone he owed hundreds of millions to and on the other, his brothers. He could not say for certain that he liked them, let alone loved them.
He envied them for the lives they had lived, hated them because they were luckier than he was. He couldn't stand how they looked down on him as if he was less than them. But, he was also afraid of them, of their power and influence. Not even the wheelchair had kept Caishen from returning and reclaiming his throne at Zhang construction and Zhang Bo had decisively abandoned his acting career to sit at the highest position of the Zhang group.
Rumor had it that he was running the company as efficiently as grandpa Zhang himself. It was as if he was born for the role naturally.
Wang Yong was aware that he couldn't snatch their positions away. In the race to be outstanding in the Zhang group, he had been left far behind. By the time he caught up, they would be out of his reach.
However, it was his intention to stick around. The Zhang fortune, even the smallest portion was his natural birthright. He couldn't give it up, no__, he wouldn't give it up.
He looked at the brothers and the answer was clear in his eyes. Yes, he had picked a side.
"If i do this, you have to promise to protect me. I cannot go to prison. I never wanted to be pulled into this mess in the first place. I was targeted because i am your brother. If you can give me your word and sign a contract, i will tell you who it is."
Caishen scoffed and smirked. He looked at Bo and laughed. "I told you so."
He reached for another envelope and brought out a paper that he handed to Wang Yong. "These are the terms and conditions of our deal.
We will protect you and i will not be pressing charges or informing the police about your involvement in this mess."
"Grandfather and grandmother too." Wang Yong said. "I don't want them to hate me. Let's not forget my parents, father should never know that i was involved in your accident."
"You have one bargaining chip and yet you are making so many demands." Bo said disapprovingly.
Wang Yong seemed to be more confident in his response this time. "Because it's a big card. You may think that i am stupid but i am not completely an idiot. I wanted to have my own leverage over the loan sharks so i hired someone to follow their leader one time. I know the real villain behind the entire plan and it's not any of the people on these pictures."
