The Yellow River Saga [ Epic Cultivation Fantasy Series]

Sorry for the long silence. I wanted to give you all an update on where things stand.

From the beginning, I've written this story with the intent of creating books—not just another web serial, but something that lasts and is worth reading and rereading. Stories that offer escape and depth. Stories that mean something.

I submitted this series to several publishers. Most gave me positive feedback, and one even offered a deal. But we couldn't agree on terms, they asked for more rights than I was willing to give. After careful thought, I decided to not to sign with them.

So, what does this mean? For now, I'm officially placing the story on hiatus. I've loved writing these two novels, it's been one of the highlights of my life. But honestly? The rapid, chapter-a-day format doesn't let me write the kind of story I want to write. I want to sit with my ideas, develop them and polish them. I'd rather offer you guys something unforgettable than the next dopamine hit.

This isn't the end of Yu Chen's saga. But I need time to step back, breathe, and figure out how best to continue, both inside and outside of the Royal Road model. I want to rewrite this story, go over it with a fine tooth comb and figure out what works and what doesn't and making sure it's a better story than it is right now. And when its better than itself I'll publish it, and put it out for everyone.

And in the meantime I'll continue to work on my other stories. The gritty prison system-apocalypse novel. The futuristic mech litrpg. The gritty, down in the mud journey from sellsword to king. The Emperor, who lost it all because of love.

Some of what I'm working on I may share here. Some, I may not. But whatever it is that I write, I want it to be worth your time and mine.
