Chapter 602: The Great Brawl Before Departure (Part 2)
"It's Mr. Liu, change to defense formation!"
Yuan Baoer immediately commanded.
The bathhouse staff and the Yuan family's servants, who had been scattered, quickly regrouped and utilized defensive spells and magic treasures, standing like reefs resisting the incoming waves of magic.
This was Yuan Baoer's smart move, knowing the Dark Elves would not stop.
Of course, the Dark Elves did not stop, and even after Liu Zheng appeared, they tacitly shifted the focus of their attack to the armored vehicle.
Fortunately, this test vehicle lived up to its status, standing firm against numerous magic attacks, with the occasional spell breaking through the defense being intercepted by Doctor Nile.
Finally, after several waves of fruitless attacks, the Yaksha raised a hand to stop the attacks from her clanspeople.
"Not fighting anymore? If not, I'll get off the vehicle."
Liu Zheng poked his head out and asked.
"That's your choice, human."
The Yaksha replied coldly.
"Let's be clear, if I get off and anyone dares to make a move, I'll make sure they can't move again. You understand?"
He raised his chin as he spoke.
"I heard you."
The Yaksha replied ambiguously.
"What about President Yuan?"
Liu Zheng looked towards Yuan Baoer.
"Of course, we'll listen to you, Mr. Liu."
Yuan Baoer naturally wouldn't undermine his authority.
"President Yuan sure knows how to show respect."
He gave Yuan Baoer a thumbs up and then got off the vehicle.
"I was only a few minutes late, and you all nearly knocked each other's brains out. Tsk tsk!"
Liu Zheng remarked as he observed the marks left by the battle on the ground.
"If you had been a bit later, you'd have been collecting corpses for these inferiors."
The Yaksha said coldly.
"If Mr. Liu hadn't arrived quickly, you'd already be thrown into the boiler as fuel."
Yuan Baoer replied, not backing down.
"It's okay, President Yuan."
He smiled at Yuan Baoer, but his head was turned toward the Yaksha.
"No matter who wins or loses, the result is the same. They will all die here."
"You're getting more arrogant, human. There's a saying in Zhen Dan - to make one perish, first make them mad; it seems you're not far from perishing."
The Yaksha elegantly retorted.
"I dance a wild tap dance at the edge of death every day, yet I just can't die. Instead, those who try to kill me mostly end up with bad outcomes."
"As for whether I'm arrogant, Doctor, it's time to back me up."
Liu Zheng called out.
"It's always me when there's hard work to be done."
Doctor Nile complained as he got off the vehicle.
At this moment, the clouds in the sky had been dispelled by magic, and the surrounding trees had either fallen or been destroyed. The sunlight poured down unfiltered, absorbed and reflected by the treasures on his body, forming a feather-like halo around him.
"A priest of the Sun God."
The Yaksha's gaze sharpened.
The sun, being both a source of life and energy, makes the Sun God significant in any pantheon, a first-tier deity at minimum, even if not the supreme or main God.
"To which Sun God do you serve as priest?"
She cautiously asked.
"My master is the Lord of the Sky, Creator of Gods, Creator of All, Father and Mother of all life, the great Sun God Atum Ra."
Doctor Nile raised his scepter, responding in chant-like tones.
"I see, so it's the Amunra who was crippled, eaten by the La Clan."
The Yaksha's expression gradually relaxed.
"It seems your God didn't teach you how to show respect to another God, so let me teach you."
Doctor Nile said without expression.
After speaking, he raised the scepter, and the halo around him gathered into a sun disc above his head.
"Sun Ship, full of the wrath and majesty of God La, bring destruction to the blasphemer!"
Doctor Nile waved the scepter, and the light of the sun disc blazed, as a golden ship flew out from the disc.
The hull of the ship was narrow with both ends curving upward, and it had no sails, only dozens of oars.
With one stroke of the oars, infinite flames and lightning burst forth.
With two strokes of the oars, the Sun Ship traversed space and appeared in front of the Yaksha, colliding forcefully.
"Lord Yaksha, be careful!"
The two Black Armored Guards surrounding the Yaksha immediately drew their oddly shaped long blades and slashed toward the bow of the Sun Ship.
The two long blades were as black as ink, with hollow inscriptions that were surrounded by a faint blood light, clearly marking them as magic items.
Their reactions were swift, striking almost at the exact moment the Sun Ship appeared before the Yaksha.
The slash of the long blades produced a shrill sound, leaving no doubt that even an ironclad ship would have been relentlessly torn apart.
However, the seemingly formidable attack was utterly useless.
The Sun Ship didn't pause for even a millisecond; in the instant it touched the two magic long blades, they melted into molten iron. Then, flames and lightning turned the two Black Armored Guards into charred corpses, before reducing them to ashes.
"True Method: Secret Technique Splitting!"
The Blood Blade in Yaksha's hand transformed into a short-handled magic wand in the blink of an eye, shooting a pure white light from its tip that struck the Sun Ship swiftly and accurately.
Beginning from the bow, the Sun Ship disassembled into eight-colored light spots, scattering through the air in a mesmerizing display.
Yet, even though the speed of the Secret Technique Splitting was fast, the remnants of the Sun Ship kept charging forward.
"Grey Wind: Dark Fortress!"
The other Female Priestesses, sensing the danger, hurriedly cast their spells.
The shadows beneath all the Dark Elves rose up and merged, swelling into a dome-like fortress that enclosed them inside.
The Sun Ship broke the Dark Fortress as it rushed in, disappearing into the swiftly closing dark shell.
"BOOM!"
The next moment, the entire Dark Fortress exploded from within.
Countless Fire Dragons and Electric Snakes shot out from the ruptured opening, like ignited fireworks in a warehouse.
"The Dark Sect: Arnzipher's Maw of Greed!"
Yaksha's voice resounded again as the remnants of the Dark Fortress transformed into a giant mouth, swallowing all the Fire Dragons and Electric Snakes.
The Maw of Greed was not satisfied after consuming the fragments of the Sun Ship and turned to devour the Dark Elves.
"The Dark Sect: Binding Darkness!"
The Female Priestesses chanted their spells in unison, their magic wands emitting ropes that bound the Maw of Greed, tearing it apart and reverting it back to a shadow.
"As expected of the descendants of Ra who survived that era, truly capable."
Yaksha brushed off the ashes on her body in disgust, the last traces left by the Black Armored Guards who tried to protect her.
Although their loyalty was commendable, as the leader of priests and the beloved bride of the great Bloodhand Kane, these lowly men touching her body was still a form of blasphemy.
And when she spoke of that era, it naturally referred to the times when consuming mummies became fashionable.
"If you still don't know how to engage with others, I can teach you again."
Doctor Nile raised the scepter once more, as sunlight around him converged toward the sun disc above his head.
One Sun Ship isn't enough to kill you, then there will be two; if two aren't enough, there will be three. Each time your Black Armored Guards suffer casualties, while my Sun Power is endless.
"Apologies to you, honorable Priest of La, I hold no animosity towards you and your god, this is merely a necessary measure."
Yaksha's face twitched involuntarily as she reluctantly spoke.
The Secret Technique Splitting she just used is part of the True Method (Qhaysh), considered the source of High Level Magic, orchestrated by skilled mages to harmonize the Magic Eight Winds.
The True Method is a hallmark of the high-elf close relatives of the Dark Elves, while the Dark Elves typically use the Dark Sect (Dhar).
The Dark Sect is also formed by merging the Magic Eight Winds, but unlike the harmonious True Method, its merging process is coarse and overpowering, often resulting in significant power and frequent spell failures.
Due to the completely opposite approaches between the two methods, Dark Elves generally don't learn the True Method to avoid making their already unstable magic power even more volatile.
Even if a prodigious witch could master it, she would at most control one or two key True Magic spells, and they must be used sparingly or not consecutively to prevent her magic power from spiraling out of control.
Besides Yaksha's "True Method: Secret Technique Splitting," the others had no means to counter the "Sun Ship."
She might have one or two uses left, yet she neither knew nor dared to gamble on how many times this Priest of Ra could summon it.
"This too is a necessary measure, esteemed Priest of Cain."
Doctor Nile set down the scepter and said politely.
