Chapter 601: Departure! Bathhouse Street
"President Yuan, I'm almost ready on my side."
The call connected, and Liu Zheng said.
"Alright, I've been ready for a while. Where should we meet?"
Yuan Baoer eagerly asked.
From childhood to adulthood, she had never suffered such a loss.
If she didn't vent this, she'd feel embarrassed as the family head.
"Just outside Bathhouse Street. By the way, President Yuan, do you have an experienced driver?"
Liu Zheng asked.
"Experienced driver? Is Mr. Liu asking about someone on two legs or someone on four wheels?"
Yuan Baoer retorted.
"... Someone on four wheels."
He was speechless; this woman's words were too bold.
"If it's someone on four wheels, let Lao Si go. He drives steadily."
Yuan Baoer said.
"And if it's someone on two legs?"
Liu Zheng was a bit curious.
"That would still be Lao Si. He carries two-legged more often than driving four-wheeled."
"... I've found another group of people. At the time, you send your people over to intimidate them first, and then retreat."
He briefly explained the Dark Elf situation.
"Why don't I just bring a big force with you? If those slave traders are obedient, let them help; if not, wipe them out directly."
Yuan Baoer's tone carried a hint of ruthlessness.
"Don't underestimate them; they do worship the God of War. Besides, if you bring a big force to the Ten Thousand Great Mountains, what if the rear is left vulnerable?"
"Don't forget, Great Jiang Mountain is merely a blade, and the one holding it is Granny Tang."
Liu Zheng shook his head.
"Alright then, I'll listen to you."
Yuan Baoer reluctantly said.
"Okay, I'll hang up now."
He hung up the phone and called the Yaksha.
"I'm almost ready on my side. Are you prepared?"
Liu Zheng asked.
"Bloodhand Kane's bride is always ready to present the grandest wedding to our lord."
The Yaksha arrogantly said.
"Always ready, never held, right?"
He squinted and said.
"Are you insulting our faith?"
The Yaksha's tone turned cold.
"No, what I mean is, as your most loyal friend, I will soon help you win the favor of the Gods."
"Sweet words have no effect on Dark Elves, human. To earn our approval, present us with blood and souls, whether they are others' or your own."
The Yaksha said coldly.
"I think yours would be better, natural and healthy, and Bloodhand Kane would find it reassuring to consume."
Liu Zheng countered.
"Hmph, let's see how capable you are. Time and place?"
The Yaksha asked.
"In an hour, outside Bathhouse Street."
He thought for a moment and said.
"Got it."
The Yaksha hung up the phone.
"Married women are nice too, experienced and caring. But forget about this Dark Elf, all Female Priestesses except for our lord's are crazy and undesirable."
Doctor Nile suddenly said.
"Doctor, eavesdropping is not a good habit."
Liu Zheng rolled his eyes at him.
"You were talking so loudly; it's hard not to hear. Didn't you hear what I just said?"
Doctor Nile thumped his scepter.
"You were speaking so loudly; it's hard not to hear. Don't worry, I have no interest in married or divine wives."
Liu Zheng echoed back to him.
"Then what type are you interested in?"
Doctor Nile asked.
"I'm interested in the Wish Machine. Give me a Female Lamp God as a wife, and I'll make wishes until she's drained."
"Keep dreaming; if such a being existed, I'd offer her to my lord as the Divine Queen first."
Doctor Nile rolled his eyes.
When Niu Daji brought out tea and snacks, the two of them sat drinking tea and chatting.
They were in the middle of discussing whether there would be pyramids in the cemetery and how to rob them if there were pyramids; which treasures would be more valuable, when Liu Zheng's phone rang.
"Hurry up and stop your dog!"
As soon as the call connected, Ace shouted loudly.
"Dog? Where did the Clinic get a dog?"
Liu Zheng paused.
"Could he be talking about the Sphinx?"
Doctor Nile said casually.
"Roar!"
A lion's roar timely came from the phone.
"Turns out it is. Hold on, I'm coming out now."
He grabbed his phone and dashed out of the Clinic, just in time to see the Sphinx trying to flip a black armored vehicle.
"Ando, stop!"
Liu Zheng quickly shouted.
"What right do you have to command me, human?"
The Sphinx glanced back at him, showing no intention of stopping.
"This is not a command; it's a request. These are my invited guests. If they have offended you in any way, I will make it up to you."
Liu Zheng spoke solemnly and sincerely.
"Hmph!"
The Sphinx retracted its claws and crouched to one side.
"Thank you, Ando."
He sighed with relief and said with a smile.
"You seem to enjoy calling my name, don't you, human?"
The Sphinx glared at him.
"Hehe."
Liu Zheng walked to the side of the armored vehicle and knocked on the window of the driver's seat.
The window lowered a crack, revealing brown hair and a pair of sharp, intelligent eyes.
"It's safe now, you can come out."
He said.
"Are you sure it won't eat me?"
Ace asked cautiously.
"Relax, Ando is a noble and trustworthy lady."
Liu Zheng gave the Sphinx a bright smile, to which it replied with a big eye roll.
"Alright then."
The car door opened, and a small figure in a natural-colored linen shirt jumped out of the vehicle and immediately hid behind Liu Zheng.
"What exactly did you do to provoke it?"
Liu Zheng turned to ask, while also taking a good look at Ace's appearance.
