Lucia gained insight by observing how the wolf controlled nature's energy. She discovered why the power she was trying to use was becoming entangled. Lucia suspected that the energy became tangled due to corruption caused by the distortions. The distortions appeared like tears or breaks in the natural flow from which she drew power. The power was coming out tangled because there was no longer any filter in that part of nature due to the disruptions. The wolf could use the power cleanly because it had employed it all its life and knew how to wield nature skillfully.
After gaining wisdom from the wolf's guidance, Lucia delved deep into the intricately tangled energy surrounding her. Lucia skillfully unraveled the intricately intertwined energy flow, reshaping it into a gentle, meandering brook. By doing so, she effectively crafted a more controllable reservoir of energy for her use. In essence, she was meticulously constructing a filter that the natural world would typically have provided had it not been for this extraordinary occurrence.
Lucia continued her work, creating additional streams from the main river. As she did so, a cascading effect emerged, culminating in the formation of a breathtaking waterfall. The energy surged and collided with tremendous force before settling into a calmer state at the base, now more amenable to Lucia's control. This process of channeling and filtering the energy became significantly more fluid and manageable for Lucia, empowering her to harness and direct this formidable force.
The stream took shape before her, the difficulties that had troubled her earlier seemed to have disappeared. "Is this a shortcut?" Lucia murmured; her excitement soared, and her mental fatigue lessened as she felt a sense of joy and achievement. The demanding process of creating many streams had almost pushed her to the brink because of the intense focus it required. Lucia observed the results of her hard work and intricate creation and felt a sense of relief. However, a wave of dread washed over her as she realized she had only completed one part of the process, with the rest yet to come.
The wolf leader watched the strange new process of filtration the hat was inventing and silently applauded its creation. The wolf captured the entire process within its memory in hopes of refining the process later to become more efficient, knowing now was not the time to focus on that process as it had to delay the distortions from growing worse.
