The Weakest Hunter In Nigeria

Chapter 36: Chapter 36: New Allies and Old Enemies

The next morning, Olutola woke up feeling refreshed and invigorated. The sun was just beginning to rise over the ocean, casting a golden glow over his new mansion. He took a moment to savor the view before getting ready for the day.

As he dressed, his phone buzzed with a message from Adebayo. "Big news, my guy. We've got a potential new dungeon raid lined up. Meet me at the guild hall in an hour."

Olutola quickly finished his breakfast, a hearty meal of jollof rice and grilled chicken, and made his way to the guild hall. The drive through Lagos in his new G-Wagon was a thrill, the powerful engine purring beneath him. Heads turned as he passed, people whispering and pointing.

When he arrived at the guild hall, he found Adebayo waiting for him, looking more serious than usual.

"We've got a problem," Adebayo said without preamble. "There's a new dungeon that's appeared, and it's unlike anything we've seen before. It's drawing attention from all over the country. Every top hunter is heading there."

Olutola raised an eyebrow. "And what's the catch?"

"The catch is," Adebayo said grimly, "this dungeon is known to have claimed the lives of many hunters. It's rumored to be cursed. But the rewards... they say they're unimaginable."

Olutola felt a thrill of excitement. This was exactly the kind of challenge he needed to test his new abilities and grow even stronger. "I'm in. When do we leave?"

Adebayo looked relieved. "In two hours. Get ready. This is going to be a tough one."

Olutola nodded and turned to head back to his car when he overheard a group of hunters talking.

"Did you hear about that new guy? The one with the G-Wagon?"

"Yeah, they say he's something else. Took down a beast single-handedly."

"But can you believe he smokes Igbo during fights? Reckless, if you ask me."

"Reckless or not, he's got skills. I'd like to see what he can really do."

Olutola smirked and walked past them, letting their words roll off his back. He had nothing to prove to them. His actions would speak louder than any words.

He spent the next two hours preparing, making sure he had all the gear he needed for the raid. As he packed, he thought about the potential dangers of the dungeon and the opportunity it presented. If he could conquer this dungeon, it would solidify his reputation as one of the top hunters in Nigeria.

As he rolled up another joint of his premium Igbo, he couldn't help but chuckle. His old life seemed so distant now. He had come so far in such a short time. Lighting the joint, he took a deep drag and muttered, "Niiiiiice one," exhaling with a contented sigh.

Two hours later, he met up with Adebayo and a few other top hunters at the designated meeting point. The atmosphere was tense, everyone aware of the stakes.

"Alright, everyone," Adebayo said, addressing the group. "This dungeon is unlike any we've faced before. Stay sharp, watch each other's backs, and remember—no one goes in alone."

The hunters nodded, their faces grim. Olutola scanned the group, recognizing a few familiar faces but also noting some new ones. Among them was a pair of identical twins, both strikingly beautiful with an air of cold determination about them.

Adebayo noticed his gaze and leaned in. "Those two are Mei and Lei, top hunters from China. They've been hired for this raid because of their exceptional skills. Keep an eye on them—they're not to be underestimated."

Olutola nodded, intrigued. He approached the twins, extending a hand. "Olutola Ojetola. Looking forward to working with you."

The twins exchanged a glance before Mei, the more talkative of the two, shook his hand. "Mei. And this is Lei. We've heard about you. Let's see if you live up to your reputation."

Olutola grinned. "I intend to."

With the introductions made, the group moved out, heading towards the dungeon's location. The air was thick with anticipation and a hint of fear. As they approached the entrance, a cold wind blew, and the atmosphere grew even tenser.

"Stay close," Adebayo said, his voice barely above a whisper. "This place gives me the creeps."

Olutola activated his system, feeling the surge of power as the familiar interface appeared before his eyes. He was ready for whatever lay ahead.

Inside, the dungeon was dark and foreboding, the walls lined with strange, glowing runes. The deeper they went, the more oppressive the atmosphere became. It wasn't long before they encountered their first challenge—a pack of vicious, shadowy creatures that seemed to materialize from the darkness.

Olutola took a deep breath, feeling the adrenaline pump through his veins. This was it. Time to show what he was made of.

As the creatures charged, he summoned his first shadow warrior. The black, ethereal figure rose from the ground, taking form beside him. With a mental command, it lunged at the nearest creature, its blade slicing through the air with deadly precision.

The battle was fierce, the dungeon echoing with the sounds of combat. Olutola moved with practiced ease, his shadow warriors fighting alongside him. The other hunters fought bravely, but it was clear that Olutola's abilities were in a league of their own.

He could feel the eyes of Mei and Lei on him, their expressions a mix of awe and curiosity. He grinned, knowing that he had caught their attention.

As the last of the creatures fell, Adebayo approached him, panting. "Damn, Olutola. You really are something else."

Olutola nodded, wiping the sweat from his brow. "This is just the beginning. Let's keep moving."

They pressed on, the dungeon growing more treacherous with each step. But Olutola felt a strange sense of exhilaration. This was where he belonged—on the front lines, facing danger head-on.
