Chapter 153: Chapter 156 No Shame
"Hey, come on guys, those damn things are going to bite you in the ass."
Moore parked the pickup truck at the exit of the town, holding a cigarette in his mouth, and stuck his head out of the window, looking at Glenn, Daryl, and Oscar who were running towards him.
The first and largest group of zombies was left behind by Moore.
Although there are some zombies chasing after Glenn and his friends now, that's nothing.
"Speed up! Speed up! We're almost catching up!" Moore shouted excitedly with a wicked smile.
"Moir, shut your stinky mouth, or I swear I'll shoot your rotten mouth with a crossbow."
Although Daryl was carrying a crossbow, his speed was not slow at all. At this time, he was only more than ten meters away from the pickup truck.
"Oh, brother, you will make your big brother sad by doing this." Moore smiled evilly and shook his head.
Daryl ignored Moore and jumped over the pickup truck but didn't get in. The motorcycle was Daryl's target.
Glenn and Oscar opened the car door respectively, climbed in, and then immediately slammed the door shut.
"Bang!"
"More, let's go!" Glenn said, panting.
"Hurry up." Moore threw the cigarette butt away and started the pickup truck leisurely. Daryl's motorcycle also started roaring.
A pickup truck and a motorcycle drove out of the town one after another, and dozens of zombies behind them chased out of the town unwillingly.
But as the car accelerated, the two sides soon lost sight of each other.
Glenn took a big gulp of the bottle of water, and the whole bottle was gone in one gulp. He drank half and spit out the other half. However, the cold water on his body gradually eased Glenn's nervous heartbeat.
Putting the water bottle down, Glenn looked up and was suddenly stunned. Something seemed to be wrong, but he couldn't remember it for a moment. After nearly a minute of reaction, Glenn asked anxiously;
"Moir! Where's Karl?"
"Don't fucking bother me." Moore drove with one hand and fiddled with the car music buttons with the other hand, but no matter how he fiddled, there was no response.
I don't know if it's due to disrepair or the excessive volume that caused this already old car music system to completely stop working.
Originally More was in a good mood, having escaped death, and now he should be listening to songs and enjoying the spring breeze, returning home leisurely.
But now the strike of the car music makes Moore very unhappy.
"More, where is Carl? Carl!" Glenn anxiously grabbed Moore's shoulders.
"Damn it." Moore shook off Glenn's arm. "He went back a long time ago. Do you think he's still waiting for you? What can that brat do?"
Glenn finally breathed a sigh of relief and relaxed. He smiled and said, "Why didn't you tell me earlier? Maybe I can ask Dale to help you when we get back. He can fix this thing."
"Shit." Moore slapped his hands heavily, spat out a mouthful of thick phlegm, and lit a cigarette.
This is when Oscar asked, "Did Andrew and Axel take Carl back? Are they all right?"
…
"Don't say anything for a while, just nod, okay?"
"But... so many people haven't returned. If we go back, they will definitely be suspicious of us."
"Did we harm them?"
Axel shook his head.
"That's it. It's not our fault. Why are you feeling guilty? Don't tell me the truth later, or we'll both die."
Outside the prison road, at the last corner, a pickup truck was parked on the road. After passing the next bend, it was not far from the prison.
Andrew knew he had to get the confession right first.
"Then why don't we just leave."
"Fuck, are you stupid? Haven't you seen enough of the situation outside? How can we survive without a camp? Don't fucking reveal your secret to me!"
"Okay, I understand." Axel nodded weakly.
…
"They are back, open the door." Andrea on the watchtower used the intercom to notify the guards, the Brent and Brandy brothers, behind the door.
"OK."
The iron gate of the barbed wire was pushed open and the pickup truck drove in. Brent Brandi did not rush to close the door.
But the usual second and the motorcycle that should have been in the front did not show up.
The lone pickup truck did not drive directly into the inner wall as usual, but stopped after entering the barbed wire.
As Ben was helping to cultivate the grass, Sean received Andrea's message and stopped the pickup truck.
There was indeed only one car. Sean's eyelids couldn't help but twitch, and he prayed in his heart that nothing unexpected would happen.
As the car door opened, Andrew and Axel got out, and Sean walked closer, looking inside the car without saying a word.
He closed his eyes, trying to calm himself down, then looked at Andrew and asked in a relaxed tone, "Are the others delayed by something?"
"No..." Andrew hesitated, but still said, "They had an accident..."
Suddenly, Sean's body began to tremble uncontrollably, but he still asked in disbelief, "What did you say?"
Andrew knew that he couldn't say now that they were being delayed, as it would be exposed sooner or later, so he made up his mind and blurted out the words he had prepared long ago.
"We were attacked. There were a lot of people on the other side, and the zombies there also started a complete riot. We were scattered by the zombies, and I don't know what the other people are doing now."
Andrew's words were half true and half false. As long as no one else came back, they would not be discovered. Even if others came back, as long as Moore and Carl did not come back, Andrew's words would still have no loopholes.
As for Moore, Andre saw with his own eyes that he rushed into the horde of zombies, and there was no way he could survive.
As for Karl, no one else was in the clothing store. Once Axel and I left, who would take care of him? Who would know him? How could that child survive?
"What did you say? Where is Carl? Tell me where Carl is!" Sean grabbed Andrew's neck and lifted him up against the car.
"Cough cough cough..." Andrew struggled frantically, slapping Sean's arms. But facing the furious Sean, he was as powerless as a little chicken.
"I... cough cough..." With Sean strangling his neck, Andrew found it difficult to speak or even breathe.
Axel stood there stupidly. He wanted to give some advice, but he was afraid that if he did, he would be the one strangled by fate.
"Sean, what are you doing!?"
Andrea, who had just come down from the watchtower, saw this scene and hurried over, trying to pull Sean away.
Sean swung his hand back and Andrea was thrown away.
"Ah!" Andrea fell to the ground and screamed in pain.
This voice sobered Sean up a little. He slowly let go of Andrew, but still stared at Andrew's eyes. He asked in a very cold voice, full of suppressed rage:
"What's going on? Tell me everything. If you hide even a single word, I swear to God that I will break your neck with my bare hands! I promise!"
"Cough, cough, cough..." Andrew's breathing had not yet adjusted, but he did not dare to delay any longer, and hurriedly said while coughing;
"Karl, Karl is with Mor. Axel and I are standing guard outside. Mor is taking Karl to choose clothes..."
