The Walking Dead: reborn as Carl

Chapter 140: Chapter 143 No

March 2, cloudy

Damn, yesterday was the 1st, not the 29th. I almost forgot it was February.

It's really inconvenient to not have a calendar, but luckily I have a diary.

The prison has been thoroughly cleaned today, but the inspection took most of the day, so it seems unrealistic to deal with all the bodies today.

But don't worry, it'll only take a few days.

Ah! I miss Beth. I wonder how she is doing.

No rush, no rush, it only takes a few days.

I wonder if Beth will miss me, maybe...

We really must not be in a hurry and must not leave any hidden dangers.

Oscar's problem is really not serious. His worries are written on his face, so it is unlikely that he is pretending. He is somewhat upright, rigid, and persistent.

He is a good person and can be absorbed. We just need to separate him from the others.

Axel does have some clever ideas, but they seem to be just clever tricks and are not very dangerous, so they can be used.

Andrew is a bit beyond my expectation, he is a talent, haha...

As for Thomas, let's talk to him tomorrow.

March 3, light rain

Damn it, I knew it was going to rain in this weather, luckily the rain came in the afternoon and the bodies had been almost dealt with.

But with this rain, I'm afraid it will be delayed for a few more days.

I talked to Thomas today, and it seems that he is not that stupid.

Although we can't trust them 100%, I don't think anything will happen in the short term.

After all, survival is a biological instinct. Who would want to die unless it is necessary?

The next step is to bring the other people over, settle them down, establish a suitable operating model, and then we can start to slowly make plans for the governor.

I hope nothing goes wrong.

God bless.

"Karl, the rain hasn't stopped yet. Should we go back in the rain? Or should we wait a little longer?"

"Wait a minute, I haven't been inside the wall yet, so I just need to familiarize myself with the environment."

"By the way, this place is quite big, and there are ready-made beds and beddings. When we bring the others over, should we live together or separately?"

"Let's talk about it later. The prison is quite large. From my observation, if we need to guard it, we need at least four people, one for each direction. But one person is not safe. Guarding should be done in groups of two. So we are still very short of manpower now."

"There's nothing we can do. There weren't many people to begin with, and several died in the past few days. This is the only way for now."

Carl nodded and looked out the car window. There was a drizzle, falling casually on the tender green grass on the ground.

The bodies of the zombies have been burned. After such a rain, the air here should be much better.

"Sean, drive the car in. Maybe I should find a suitable room now."

"Yeah." Sean nodded and started the armored vehicle. "Do you still want to share a room with Beth?"

"Of course, this is non-negotiable."

"Damn, Carl, you're only eleven."

"I just wanted to be closer to Beth."

"It's hard to understand. Damn it. Damn it."

"Oh, this world is a ghost."

"But the ones in prison seem to all have bunk beds."

"Have you found the warden's room?"

"No, I asked them to look for it. The warden's room is very important, there should be something we can use."

Sean stopped the car. The armored vehicle had been driven into the fence and parked at a relatively close position. Sean said to Carl, "It's still raining."

"It's okay." Carl opened the car door and quickly ran to the entrance on the side.

"Hey, wait for me." Sean got out of the car quickly.

Carl ran to the door, stopped where there was no rain, and waited for Sean to come over.

This is the prison area, the largest building, located on the side of the entrance. It is also the most complicated inside. Even though it has been cleaned up by Sean and his team, there may be a few zombies that were missed.

"This is the prison area. In front of it is Area C. It has good lighting and is quite spacious. There is also a toilet. Perhaps we can settle down here."

Sean came over.

"Let's go in and take a look first." Carl tilted his head slightly and motioned Sean to go ahead.

In such a narrow terrain, if a zombie suddenly pounced on him, Carl really didn't have the confidence to deal with it, so it would be safer for Sean to be in front.

Carl followed Sean through a short, dim passage, and then saw the open space in front of him. On the left were double-decker cells, and on the right were small windows that let in light.

Area C

It was a familiar place. Although it was the first time he saw it, Carl stopped and looked at it for a long time, and did not respond to Sean's call.

After a long time, Carl turned around and said, "Sean, let's go."

"Aren't you looking anywhere else?" Sean raised an eyebrow.

"No, there will be plenty of opportunities in the future."

"Okay." Sean has become somewhat accustomed to Carl's weirdness and nonsense.

After leaving the prison area, Carl walked directly into the rain. It was just a drizzle, and it made people feel light and refreshed when it fell on their bodies.

"Carl, you're going to catch a cold." Sean followed helplessly.

"I haven't taken a shower in a few days." Carl answered irrelevantly.

"Then you can't expect this little rain to give you a bath."

"I'll go back and wash it later."

"go back?"

"Well, go to the farm and inform them. Just take Pete, Andrea, Oscar, and Quilly, the four of them, plus you and me. Let Daryl and Maul keep an eye on them here.""It's time to go back, Karl, go to the car and wait for me."

"It's okay, go ahead. I don't catch a cold that easily. I'll walk around and get familiar with the terrain."

"you alone?"

"Yes, I brought the walkie-talkie with me."

Carl nodded, took a step forward, and went deeper into the rain. The buildings before him seemed familiar and blurry, but overall, they looked much more real.

Carl originally wanted to pick a room first, but decided to wait until Beth arrived.

I'll go back today, rest for a night and make some preparations, then come back tomorrow morning and choose a room with Beth.

It doesn't have to be in the prison area though.

Not many people would deliberately walk in the rain, even if it was a light rain, and Carl originally thought he wouldn't meet anyone.

But I didn't expect to actually meet him.

"Do you have the time to take a walk in the rain?" Carl asked.

"Carl? If you can, why can't I?"

The white vest on Thomas was completely soaked and stuck to his skin. It seemed that Thomas had stayed in the rain for a longer time.

"This doesn't fit your personality in my mind, haha..." Carl laughed. That's right, how could a personality in real life be fixed?

Nothing is fixed, everything changes, because of many things.

This is a good reminder that I am a little too self-righteous.

"Kid, what are you talking about? Don't disturb me from being baptized." Thomas glanced at Carl unhappily.

"baptism?"

"Born in the sky, die on the earth, without too much experience, rain is the purest, it can wash away all dirt."

"That's not like what you would say."

"This is what an elder I respect very much told me."

"What about him?"

"Dead, a long time ago."

"Sad?"

"It's been so long that the memory is a little blurry. I just remember that it was also a rainy day, but it wasn't the gentle drizzle like today."
