The Walking Dead: reborn as Carl

Chapter 119: Chapter 122 Acknowledgement

"Carl."

"What?"

"I know you are telling the truth. Well, eyes are the windows to the soul. They tell me that you are not lying to me."

Karl smiled, the corners of his mouth still ached slightly, but it was already within the tolerable range.

"Carl, can you promise?" Hershel asked.

"Promise? What?" Carl was stunned.

"I promise that you will not regret what you said. I don't mean to ask you to risk your life to protect Beth, and your feelings for her will not change."

Carl was completely stunned. Why did Hershel's words make it sound like he was entrusting Beth to him?

Carl couldn't help but ask, "Herschel, do you acknowledge me and Beth?"

"Damn it, what else? But Carl, you'd better not do anything rash now, or I will still break your legs." Hershel said this unhappily.

"Well, I promise, I promise that I will never change anything I say, I, Carl Grimes, as God the Father..."

"That's not necessary, kid. It's not necessary." Hershel shook his head seriously.

Carl put down his phone and raised his right hand, he couldn't help laughing. He made a lot of money by being teased so early in the morning.

"Carl, I have another question." Hershel couldn't help but smile, but his smile was much more reserved than Carl's.

"Ask, Hershel."

"Will you have a wedding?"

This question made Carl stunned for a moment, but only for a moment, and then Carl smiled: "Yes, yes, it will be handed to me by your Beth at the wedding."

"Damn it." Hershel laughed and waved his hand, "Okay, get out of here."

"By the way, Hershel, I want to discuss something with you." Carl said suddenly.

"What?"

"It's that empty room. I want my mom to move in. You know, she's pregnant and it's cold outside."

"No problem." Hershel nodded without much hesitation. Suddenly, Hershel thought of another question, "What about you?"

Carl smiled awkwardly, "As for me, I just need to squeeze in with Beth. It's not really crowded, her bed is very spacious."

"Damn it, get out of here now, or I won't be able to resist grabbing Otis's shotgun, and then no one can stop me." Hershel slammed the table.

Karl hurriedly ran to the door, knocked on it first, but didn't open it immediately, then turned back and said to Hershel, "Since you have no objection, then I agreed that year."

"Carl, you are testing the limits of my patience." Hershel's nose was almost crooked with anger.

Karl still didn't rush to open the door, he pointed at the door and made a hushing gesture.

Hershel was stunned for a moment, then he laughed, and Carl also laughed, but the two didn't say anything else.

After a few minutes, Carl thought it was about time, so he opened the door, waved to Hershel, and left the room.

Then Carl went upstairs. It was seven o'clock in the winter and it was still dark. It would take at least another half an hour.

Carl felt that he could enjoy the warmth in bed during this time.

As for the skills he had learned, Carl felt that he had almost mastered them. The next step was to continue training, after all, practice makes perfect.

However, due to the accumulation of snow in winter, horse riding and driving had to be put on hold, so the rest did not seem very compact.

Back in Beth's room, Beth was lying on the bed covered with the quilt. Carl closed the door, went to the other side of the bed, took off his shoes and got into bed.

"Carl, what are you doing?" Beth stuck her head out unhappily.

"It's cold." Carl moved his body closer to Beth. The bed was also cold. It seemed that Beth was really eavesdropping outside just now.

Carl didn't rush to open the door because he wanted to give Beth enough time.

"Damn it, you were so embarrassed yesterday, why are you so proactive today?" Beth pouted.

"First time is second time is third time." Karl smiled, "Aren't you going to ask me why your father wants to see me?"

"Oh, yes. Why did my father look for you? Did he do anything to you?" Beth asked as if she had just reacted.

In fact, Beth didn't hear much. After all, the sound insulation of the study couldn't be that bad. Even if she stuck it to the door, she could mostly hear Hershel's roars.

Carl turned his head and glanced at Beth, then smiled and said, "Nothing much, Hershel just asked me to live in your room, and the room downstairs is for my mother."

"How is that possible?" Beth said in disbelief, "How could he let you live in my room?"

"Really? If you don't believe me, you can go ask her. Okay, I'm going to take a nap for a while. Beth, remember to help me get my things later. Move all my things over here.

I also need to notify my mom and Sean and ask them to move their stuff over here as well."

"Let's talk about it after I wake up. I also want to take a nap." Beth pulled the quilt to cover her head.

"You pulled all the quilts away." Carl couldn't help but shudder.

"Who told you to squeeze in with me?" Beth pouted unhappily. Having said that, she still pulled the quilt to Carl's side, but it did leak some air.

So Beth said helplessly, "Come here a little."

"OK."

Carl moved closer to Beth again until the side of his body was touching the side of Beth's body.

"Don't move," Beth warned.

"Never," Carl promised.

"Close your eyes and go to sleep!"

"OK!"

Carl took a nap and slept until lunch time. He slept soundly until Maggie called Carl and Beth to eat.

At the dining table, Maggie looked at Carl and said, "Carl, Sean came to see you again this morning."

"Didn't you call me?" Carl replied while dealing with the turkey on his plate, well, the leftovers from yesterday.

Maggie said somewhat dissatisfiedly, "I didn't want him to go upstairs, but he might think that we killed you by disappearing for a day and a half, and then hid your body."

"Heh..." Beth looked at Carl and couldn't help laughing.

"Uh, what happens after that?" Carl asked awkwardly.

"He went upstairs. Well, I couldn't stop him." Maggie said with some resentment, "Then he saw you and Beth sleeping, so he left without calling you."

Karl nodded apologetically, "Maggie, I apologize to you on behalf of Sean. If you can't forgive him, I can punch him for you."

"I'm not mad at him, I'm mad at Glenn. He didn't help me stop Sean, but helped Sean stop me!" Maggie became more and more dissatisfied as she spoke, and she slapped the table.

"Ahem." Hershel coughed twice, and Maggie immediately became obedient.

After dinner, Carl took Beth to the camp and moved his daily necessities and some clothes to Beth's room.

This made Carl feel like he had become a son-in-law, but Carl did not reject this feeling. On the contrary, he liked it very much.

After moving all the things, Carl talked to Sean and Lori and asked them to move their things to the empty room as well.

After finishing all these, it was already three or four in the afternoon. Carl felt that he couldn't waste too much time, as the land of gentleness was the grave of heroes.

Carl started practicing with the dagger on the snow again. Beth watched for a while, and then a snowball hit Carl.
