The Walking Dead: reborn as Carl

Chapter 106: Chapter 105 Atmosphere

It came very suddenly, like goose feathers, drifting down with the wind, and the cold wind that lifted the snowflakes seemed to be less biting and more joyful.

Snowing.

Well, it seems that there should always be some snow during Christmas season, which makes it timely and creates such a beautiful mood.

Snow was one thing, but the sparse flakes that were drifting around weren't enough to form a layer of snow on the ground.

The snowflakes fall to the ground and disappear into the earth in an instant.

This makes the artistic conception less than half.

As for the small half that remained, it remained on the branches of the oak tree, on the still dense bushes, and on a few tough grasses.

A light layer of snow covers everything in silver.

Carl looked up at the snowflakes falling from the sky, letting them fall on his cheeks, shoulders, and open palms.

A snowflake happened to fall on Carl's open palm, as if on purpose.

It's not too cold.

Carl seemed to remember someone saying that snowflakes are beautiful, and at the same time, the beauty of each snowflake is unique.

Carl lowered his head, trying to see clearly the snowflake in his hand that now belonged to him alone. It was very small and could only be vaguely seen as a hexagon.

Before I could look at it for too long, it disappeared. Perhaps the slightly moist feeling could indicate that it did not disappear, but turned into another form.

Carl shook his head and walked towards the small building with the milk. Before he got close, Carl saw Beth and Maggie outside the house.

It was snowing, and even if it was just a few drifting snowflakes, it made them excited, especially Beth, who was younger.

"Carl, you're here so early?" Beth had a sincere smile on her face as she looked at Carl and the snowflakes floating behind him.

"It's getting late, it's almost eight o'clock, your milk, maybe you should heat it up, um, and Maggie, Glenn asked me to bring it to you."

Carl handed over two cartons of milk and Beth took them naturally.

Maggie pouted, "Don't talk about Glenn, he wouldn't be so careful or patient."

Then Maggie took the milk from Beth's hand and said, "I'll go and heat up the milk for you. You guys can chat. And, Carl, thank you."

After that, Maggie waved and went back with the milk. Beth smiled naturally and said, "Carl, it's snowing."

"Yeah, it's snowing."

Looking at the smile on Beth's face as she watched the snow, Carl couldn't help but smile as well.

There was no trace of snow on the ground. Well, it snowed, but it was too little.

Beth couldn't help but pouting her lips slightly and said,

"It's a pity that there is too little snow. This is the bad thing about Georgia. There is no snow at all. I really want to run, wrestle and have snowball fights on the snow like the kids in Alaska."

Karl walked up to Beth and couldn't help but stretched out his hand and gently flicked Beth's slightly pouting lips.

"Carl, what are you doing!" Beth looked at Carl with dissatisfaction.

"Sorry, I couldn't help it." Carl didn't mean to apologize.

"Damn it! Carl." Beth clenched her fists and threatened.

Carl suddenly stopped smiling, looked in front of him and said, "Beth, do you like snow?"

Beth was startled, then she put down her fist, smiled and nodded, "I like it, but there won't be any heavy snow in Georgia."

"It will happen." Carl said softly.

"What?"

"It's going to snow hard," Carl said, looking at Beth.

"Why? Carl, are you kidding me?" Beth tilted her head in confusion.

"No, no, there will be, tomorrow, you can see it." Carl said affirmatively.

"Why are you so sure, Carl? I remember you don't like exaggeration."

"You'll know tomorrow. I won't lie to you."

"What can I say, okay." Beth pouted and nodded helplessly, "Karl, are you cold? Do you want to come in?"

"No, go back to the house first. The snow won't stop so soon. You can see snowflakes in your room. Don't catch a cold." Carl warned.

"how about you?"

"I have some things to do, see you later, or tomorrow, we'll see each other anyway."

Carl thought he was joking, then waved and left.

Beth looked at Carl's departing back and frowned slightly. Carl seemed a little strange today.

Shaking her head, Beth turned back to the house. As soon as she entered the house, Hershel, who was sitting at the dining table, asked, "Didn't Carl come in today?"

"Yeah, I always feel like he's acting weird today." Beth nodded and sat down next to Hershel.

"Strange? What's wrong?" Hershel picked up a piece of bread and cut off a small piece of butter and spread it on it.

Beth took a piece of bread and said,

"He said it will snow heavily tomorrow. Well, he said it in a very certain tone. Although it snowed today, it doesn't mean anything. As far as I can remember, it has never snowed on Christmas."

"Yes, tomorrow is Christmas. As far as I can remember, it has never snowed on Christmas in Georgia."

Hershel frowned, "Since I was a child, maybe even longer."

"So Carl is lying to me." Beth suddenly looked sad.

"Beth, this isn't really cheating. Boys are all the same. When they're in love, they always like to make promises or make big claims. They may not even know what they're saying, but they just think that will make you happy."

Maggie came out of the kitchen with two cartons of heated milk, looking very experienced.

"Is that so?" Beth pinched her chin, and it didn't seem to be what Beth said.

"No." Hershel suddenly spoke again. Hershel looked at Maggie and said, "Maggie, Carl is not the boys you have dated before. He is not a person who likes to talk big."

"Okay, okay, father, you are right." Maggie wisely chose not to argue with Hershel.

Hershel looked at Beth again, "Beth, don't think too much. You'll know tomorrow."

"But, father, why do I feel like you know more than I do?" Beth said weakly.

Hershel shook his head.

Back at the camp, Sean didn't take anyone out today. After all, tomorrow is Christmas. This holiday is so important that even though it is the end of the world, everyone is still willing to give it the proper sense of ceremony.

Carl found Sean, well, Sean who was smiling and pressing Lori's shoulder. Next to him were some old people in the camp, sisters Andrea, Carol, and Sophia, all with a pile of firewood in front of them.

Gathered around the fireplace, warming themselves by the fire and chatting, with the ground covered with snow outside the window, if there is an old man willing to tell about his "heroic deeds" or myths and legends of the past.

Then the sense of atmosphere and ritual will be enough.

It's a little worse now, but it's almost there.

Sean likes this feeling very much, this upright feeling, the feeling of being recognized and envied by everyone.

"Sean, can you come over here for a moment?" Carl spoke without coming closer.

Everyone around the fire immediately turned their eyes to Carl. Sean was stunned for a moment, then said something to Lori and others.

He walked towards Carl with a smile.
