The Villianess story: A 100 ways to kill your husband

Chapter 19: Bloodlusted demon

Thick smoke filled the town, and everyone was frightened, hidden in their homes because rumours had a bloodlust demon roaming the street on a hunt for blood.

Cedric's main reason for stopping at Moonstone Harbour was not for sightseeing with his newly wedded wife but for an assignment. He had Intel about major trafficking operations that headed at the Moonstone harbour.

This operation was related to one of the biggest problems of the royal family, which was the shadow claw guide. Cedric had been so busy fighting wars outside the kingdom that by the time it came to his attention the activities of this black market guide, it was too late, and they were like a wide spread disease that had spread throughout the kingdom and other neighbouring nations.

What he didn't expect was Abrielle getting involved with them and being almost sold into sex trafficking. That just ticks him off.

Cedric's clothes, which were blue to match Abrielle's outfit, were now smeared with blood. They had hunted almost everyone involved in the operation.

His sword blade was dripping with blood as he approached a middle-aged man who had been beaten so badly his face was not recognizable again. He was the head of this branch and the one who had all the needed information.

"We have already tried to interrogate him about the trafficking operation, but he would rather die than spill any information," Elias explained to Cedric, whose face was stoic with dead eyes. Just looking at his eyes and you know it's the eyes of the devil.

Cedric tilted the man's face that was bowed on the floor to look upon him with the tip of his sword. "I heard you are oddly loyal for a scum." Cedric chimed at the man whose face was twisting in pain. All the bones in his body have already been shattered. It was even a miracle he was still conscious.

"I'd rather die than betray the guilde." He spat at Cedric's face. The pungent metallic scent of his blood made Cedric sick to the stomach. One of Cedric's knights slapped him across his face for disrespecting the prince. He fell on the ground and fainted, but after a pail of cold water was poured on him. he jolted back away.

His eyes locked on the bloodstained boots Cedric was wearing, and he slowly gazed up to see those gold eyes that seemed like the flames of hell were burning in them. His eyes were furious but his face was calm like still water. The perfect definition of calm before a storm.

"I guess you know who l am," Cedric stated that the man was a retired assassin and had seen people described as a demon on the battlefield and had sensed a lot of blood lusts and murderous intent, but this man was different; there was something in his eyes that made him shake to his core.

His entire body was trembling under his gaze despite it being numb from pain. He was genuinely scared like a sheep taken to the slaughter.

"The bloodlust demon of Darconia." He said through his gritted teeth that were stained with blood; only that cursed prince could make him feel this scared. Finally, a smile on Cedric's lips. He had been called that name so many times that he had gotten used to it.

At first, it pissed him off, but now it is a label he carries with pride. Everyone knew he was a monster, and he would gladly be one.

"I was expecting the first prince of Darconia but bloodlust demon sounds better." Cedric chimed as his smirk grew wider sending chills down the spine of the man. He was a demon indeed because no mortal man could have this sick deadly aura.

"Now let's make things easier. You have to choose either way you will die, but how it happens depends solely on your decision." Cedric casually started talking about death like the weather. The man was a branch head of the deadliest guide on the continent and enjoyed the slaughter but now he thinks Cedric didn't enjoy the slaughter but lives for it.

He knew whatever this demon was about to say was evil. Cedric sighed, bored of the look of horror and fear in the man's eyes. He was expecting at least a strong fighting spirit, but this was easier than he expected.

"You have two options, the first one is you give us the information we want and you have a quick painless death or the second is you will wish death will come to you as you will be tortured to the point of losing your sanity that is after I have gotten rid of your entire family which I might slay in front of you." Cedric casually said, and the man's face was completely drained of blood.

"I don't have a family." He argued, but who was he trying to fool? From his body reaction, it was obvious he had a family.

"Hanes Carlton born on a wheat farm to poverty on a border town where you grew up in poverty before losing your entire family during the war then you moved to a close by duchy where you became a mercenary Long story short you made a lot of money from doing dirty shit and is married with four children who I know where they live. So what were we saying, Mr Carlton." Its fear was on Hanes's face earlier. Now he could sense dread, doom. It was over.

Cedric had casually explained his entire life accurately to him. How did he find out? Hanes asked himself. "You are a monster, how can you kill innocent people?". Hanes cried out which left Cedric speechless.

"That's odd coming from an assassin and sex trafficker. Now, back to the topic: which do you choose, option 1 or 2? Either one is a win for me." Hanes could not move an inch of his muscles but what he wished for the most was for this demon to die. He was not given a choice.

Him exposing information to Cedric would still lead to his family's death as the guide would go after them, and him not saying anything thing would lead to him leaving a non-ending life as torture in which his family would still die. He didn't want to betray his guide and family.
