Chapter 2: Chapter 2: Superhero or Villainous Superhero?

After breakfast, Peter was about to leave when Uncle Ben quickly stopped him and handed him ten dollars.

"A man shouldn't be too stingy. Sometimes, you need to show some generosity in front of girls," Uncle Ben said, winking at him.

This left Peter feeling a bit flustered.

"We're just classmates…"

New York, as one of the world's top cities, has surprisingly high salaries, but that's only for the elite. For Uncle Ben, making ends meet wasn't easy.

"Take it, Peter."

Uncle Ben had always been very pleased with his nephew. Not only did Peter excel academically, but he also worked part-time at restaurants or delivered food to help out. While it made Uncle Ben proud, it also filled him with a sense of guilt toward Peter.

"Peter, are you ready yet?"

Gwen's voice called from outside.

"Coming!"

Peter nodded to Uncle Ben and left the house.

George had been waiting outside in the car for a while. Seeing the two come out, he quickly put out the cigarette in his hand. This earned him an eye roll from Gwen. She had told him many times that smoking was bad for his health, but in front of Peter, she decided to give her dad some face.

"Hop in, you two energetic youngsters."

Because of the close relationship between their families, this wasn't the first time they had carpooled to school. Peter naturally took the front passenger seat.

George glanced at Peter with admiration.

Without comparison, there's no sense of loss.

Due to his job, George had seen too many young people who had gone astray, turning to crime at a young age. But then there was Peter—excellent grades, well-liked by teachers, and incredibly polite.

The fact that Gwen had become good friends with Peter put George at ease. He even thought they could take their relationship further. After all, he knew Peter well. If Gwen ever brought home some guy with rainbow-colored hair, that would be a headache.

Plus, Peter had always taken good care of Gwen.

"Peter, how was your visit to Oscorp last time? Norman Osborn spoke highly of you."

Peter nodded.

"That's the benefit of reading a lot. Even when facing the CEO of a major company, I can hold my own."

Last week, when he visited Oscorp, Peter had expected to be bitten by a spider. He was even prepared to become Spider-Man. But…

Not only was there no spider, he didn't even see a single strand of spider silk.

Though it didn't go as planned, Peter felt relieved. If he didn't become Spider-Man, at least Uncle Ben wouldn't have to die. With his grades, he could easily get into a good university and had the confidence to become part of Wall Street's elite.

But he never expected that in this world, Gwen would become Spider-Man!!

The thought of being sacrificed by the laws of the universe made Peter deeply frustrated.

Soon, the three arrived at Midtown Tech High School. Peter and Gwen got out of the car, said goodbye to George, and walked into the school together.

At eighteen, Gwen had already reached the age where women fully develop. With her short blonde hair, she instantly became the center of attention as soon as she appeared. Many had pursued her before, but she had rejected them all. As for the persistent ones, George had "kindly" negotiated with them.

Peter, on the other hand, seemed almost invisible. He was thin, comparable to Captain America before his super-soldier transformation. Peter had thought about improving his physique through exercise, but it didn't seem to help.

Gwen was in a great mood. School was no pressure for her, but what made her even happier was that she had gained superpowers.

Last week, while interning at Oscorp, she had been bitten by a spider. When she got home, she felt dizzy and feverish. But after waking up, her vision and hearing had become sharper, and she had gained incredible strength!

She could now open tightly sealed pickle jars with her bare hands, something she could never do before. At first, she felt panic, but compared to the excitement and joy, the negative emotions were nothing.

When she swung through the city at night, she easily stopped a few robbers and even made the news. Thankfully, she had disguised herself, or her father would have been terrified.

Gwen really wanted to tell Peter about her powers, but she was afraid he might see her as a monster. If that happened, she'd rather not have the powers at all.

Just then, a strong tingling sensation shot through her, making her hair stand on end.

"Move, Peter!!!"

Her spider-sense had never been wrong. This meant there was significant danger!!

Sure enough, a sharp, maniacal laugh echoed through the air, followed by the distinct sound of spinning propellers.

Looking up, a figure wearing a green demon mask and riding a hoverboard appeared. Without hesitation, he threw two orange pumpkin bombs!

Fortunately, they landed far from Peter, but students nearby weren't so lucky. The bombs exploded, instantly vaporizing flesh and turning bones to powder.

Midtown Tech High School was thrown into chaos!!!

Gwen quickly pulled Peter to safety. She needed to find a place to change into her suit.

But the Green Goblin came and went just as fast.

Peter stood frozen, not out of fear, but because two lines of text appeared before his eyes.

The Marvel and DC universes are merged here, with the primary setting based on the movies and supplemented by the comics. Some details may be altered for the sake of plot development…

For now, it's a dual female lead setup: Gwen and Catwoman. Other popular female characters might join later.
