The Unruly Immortals

Chapter 939 Eye

The ringing in Li Huowang's ears incessantly echoed, and he suddenly lost all sensation in his body, helplessly convulsing as he sank into the water.

"Huo... Huo..." Several blurry voices seemed to come from the horizon, indistinct and unclear.

Suddenly, it was as if his hearing returned in an instant, and the voices became unimaginably loud. "Li Huowang!!"

Just as the words ended, two large hands reached into the water and laboriously pulled him up.

"Li Huowang! Are you crazy! Holding up metal in a thunderstorm! Are you tired of living?" Wu Qi furiously yelled at him.

Li Huowang sluggishly lowered his head to look at the hand holding the knife, realizing that it had become a charred mess, with black scars extending from the burnt area along his veins throughout his body.

The events that just transpired flooded back into his stunned mind, and Li Huowang suddenly understood that he had been struck by lightning.

Wiping the seawater from his face vigorously, Li Huowang looked up at the colossal vortex of black clouds above, akin to gods and demons.

Taking a deep breath, Li Huowang looked skyward and screamed hysterically, "You want to kill me! Not a chance!!"

He struggled to lift Yang Na's body higher and hugged it tightly. "Death is on my side! If you dare, strike me dead!!"

"How do you fight it! This is not the time for madness, let's go." Qing Wanglai tugged at Li Huowang's shoulder, trying to drag him underwater, but he shoved him away.

With a ferocious expression, he shouted, "No! I can't leave!! If I leave, it's all over!! Yang Na can never come back!"

"We still have a chance now! And if we retreat, they'll take away decay, pain, and death's heavenly path! With that, we're truly finished!!"

Zhao Shuangdian's voice rang in his ear, "Li Huowang, I understand your thoughts, but you see, this time the enemy is a spiral rainband! Completely different from the last factory. The factory could be destroyed, but how do you destroy a typhoon?"

"It's not even a life form; it has no life, so how do you kill it?"

Hearing this, the roaring Li Huowang paused, slowly lowering his head to look at Yang Na beneath the water, whispering to her, "Nana, can you hear me? This time, the Fate Commander has no life, not even death."

Li Huowang suddenly smiled gently. "But that's okay, we have you, right? He doesn't have death, but you're the Fate Commander of death, you can grant him death!!"

"That's right, just like that!" Suddenly, as if he had an epiphany, Li Huowang, ignoring the swirling waves around him, surged towards the distant waterspout with Yang Na.

Even just approaching, the swirling winds prevented Li Huowang from breaching the water's surface.

Underwater, Li Huowang removed his oxygen mask, kissed Yang Na fiercely, and with both hands, pushed her towards the surface.

As Yang Na's body reached the surface, she was swiftly lifted by the gale, about to be swept into the sky like the cruise ship.

Seeing Yang Na flailing like a broken cloth outside the water, a strong sense of reluctance surged in Li Huowang's heart. Just as he was about to let go, he clutched tightly again, "It's okay, it's okay! Don't be afraid, I won't let you face it alone, I'll go with you!"

With that, Li Huowang kicked hard, propelling himself from beneath the water. The storm outside instantly swept them up, hurling them towards the towering water column between heaven and earth.

The storm's wind made Li Huowang's drenched body feel cold, but it was tolerable, only because his body was already numbed by electricity earlier.

"It's okay, it's okay! Yang Na, don't be afraid!" Li Huowang squinted, looking at the approaching waterspout, gripping the military knife tightly with all his strength.

"I understand!" At this moment, Zhao Shuangdian's voice suddenly rang in Li Huowang's ear, "I should have thought of it! It's topology! I was in a mental rut before!"

Seeing the waterspout right in front of him, Li Huowang, amidst the storm, opened his mouth and roared, "What the hell is topology!!"

"Li Huowang! Listen to me! I'll guide you! Don't rush! Release Yang Na, and grab her after one second!" Zhao Shuangdian's tone unusually became urgent.

Li Huowang hesitated for a brief moment, then immediately released Yang Na from his embrace.

Even though he didn't know what she found in her worldview, they were in the same boat, and Zhao Shuangdian wouldn't harm him now.

As Yang Na detached from Huowang's embrace, her body drifted leftward, like a kite in the strong wind.

"Now!" Just as Zhao Shuangdian finished speaking, Li Huowang's hand swiftly extended, gripping the "kite string" tightly.

With the lift provided by the kite, Li Huowang was instantly elevated significantly, swiftly passing by the left side of the waterspout.

"Let go of Yang Na! Strike it with a knife!"

Li Huowang clasped the military knife with both hands, roaring as he struck the waterspout.

With a sudden surge of force, Li Huowang was instantly engulfed, his surroundings spinning at an incredible speed.

When his vision cleared again, he was upside down, feeling a strong sense of weightlessness as his body descended rapidly.

With a "bang," Li Huowang smashed into the water's surface, intense pain rippling through him, his entire body on the verge of falling apart.

Several bones had broken, using his last ounce of strength, Li Huowang climbed onto the nearby wreckage of the cruise ship.

Taking deep breaths, Li Huowang looked around; compared to before, the sea was eerily calm here.

Although the cloud layer, illuminated by lightning, still pressed low, and the sky remained dark, there was no wind at all, the sea surface was as still as a mirror.

"Where... is this? Why is it so strange?" Suddenly noticing something, Li Huowang reached into the water and pulled Yang Na out.

Yang Na had took part, death was now in place, and he could soon kill this Fate Commander.

"This... typhoon's... eye..." Accompanied by static, Zhao Shuangdian's voice in the earpiece cut off.

"The eye of the storm? I understand! So this is the weak point of the Fate Commander!" Trembling with pain, Li Huowang stood up again, grasping the military knife and using all his might to stab at the water's surface.

However, apart from causing slight ripples on the water, there was no change.

Li Huowang paused in place, momentarily stunned, before once again standing up against the ship's hull, staring blankly at his surroundings.

Distant dark clouds, like black mountains, loomed oppressively towards them.
