The Unruly Immortals

Chapter 426 Oblivion Path

Hearing their words, Li Huowang, who had just been lost in his own emotions, looked in astonishment at everything before him.

After he regained his senses, a surge of blood rushed to his brain. "This is all because of you bastards!!"

With a "clang", Li Huowang, holding the Longsword in one hand, pushed off from the roof tiles with both feet and charged at the three Oblivion Path practitioners with their backs turned to him.

Hearing the whistling sound behind them, one of the Oblivion Path practitioners twisted his body to the left as if it had snapped, barely dodging the attack.

With his head hanging down, he looked at Li Huowang in astonishment. "Hong Zhong, are you still playing around? They won't believe you anymore, you need to get out of here, we'll cover for you!"

Just then, Huan Jue Hong Zhong came over, his face serious, and persuaded, "He's right, now's not the time to play around, we need to retreat."

"Retreat my ass!" Li Huowang swung his Longsword fiercely, and the sharp blade sliced across his bloodied, flesh-mangled face without any skin, but nothing out of the ordinary happened.

At that moment, someone from Astrological Bureau began to make their move. A Purple Robed Taoist took out two fist-sized Yellow Talisman Banners from his sleeve, thrust them behind his neck, and started chanting incantations while drawing a huge Eight Trigrams Array out of thin air.

Each time his finger drew through the air, it stirred up ripples of transparency.

As the Taoist formed hand seals and pressed the Array in the air down onto the tiles under his feet, he chanted, "Look up as one, bow down as one, above are the Six Jia, below are the Six Ding, San Qing decree! Command me to execute!"

The next moment, with a unified cracking sound, all the tiles and beams under everyone's feet shattered rapidly. Everyone standing on the tiles, having no support, fell toward the interior of the building below.

A giant black Five Elements Bagua appeared directly below, just encompassing the three Oblivion Path practitioners and Li Huowang within it.

The few face-covered Astrological Bureau agents, who had unexpectedly appeared below, stood around the Array, ready for action, staring intently.

In this critical moment, one of the male Oblivion Path practitioners gritted his teeth, pushed off against the falling tiles with one foot, and with all his might, pushed Li Huowang away. "Hong Zhong, go now!"

With a "whoosh", Li Huowang brought down his blade, cutting off both of his hands.

In the stunned gaze of the man, a black tentacle wrapped around the Copper Coin Sword suddenly quivered, and the Copper Coin Sword instantly stretched out, slicing off the Oblivion Path practitioner's head.

No sooner had he done this than the remaining two Oblivion Path practitioners and Li Huowang also landed.

The moment they touched the Five Elements Eight Trigrams Array, the Array rose instantly, enveloping them like a net.

Seeing that even he had been trapped along with these people, Li Huowang was furious, considering these incompetents more than useless.

"What the hell are you doing! I've said it! I'm not from Oblivion Path!" Enraged, Li Huowang's nails suddenly dug into his jaw, tearing off his whole face.

However, this act of proving his innocence not only failed to convince the conspiring members of the Astrological Bureau but instead made them accelerate their assault.

The Purple Robed Taoist reached back with his hand, pulled out the Yellow Talisman Banner from behind his neck, and swiftly threw it towards Li Huowang.

The Banner staff extended as it flew through the air, turning into spears that spiraled and pierced into the vital points of the three men, entering from the front and exiting from the back, instantly skewering them together.

Then, as one Astrological Bureau agent beckoned, several dark green Talismans flew over, sticking to the foreheads of the three. Now, the trio couldn't even move a finger.

Seeing the three men now under their control, the six Astrological Bureau agents finally exhaled in relief.

Just as a hunchback holding a Soul Summoning Banner was about to say something, he saw the ball of flesh hung before him suddenly begin to move.

"How many times must I say it! I am not from Oblivion Path!!" Li Huowang's roar, filled with murderous intent, exploded violently within the cramped room.

To everyone's astonishment, strands of black, sticky tentacles burst forth from all over Li Huowang's body, lifting the compressed cluster of three people into the air.

A breeze lifted the Yellow Talisman from Li Huowang's forehead, revealing the bloodthirsty eyes beneath, brimming with the intent to kill. "Kill!"

The hot blood within Li Huowang surged into all of Li Sui's tentacles, causing the black tentacles to swell in an instant,

With the thrashing and swinging of the tentacles, the entire ball of flesh shot high into the air, heading towards the members of the Astrological Bureau.

As the Astrological Bureau was about to retreat, Li Sui within Li Huowang, listening to his father's instructions, swiftly snapped two of his own ribs, crossed them, and plunged them into his lungs.

Everyone instinctively clutched at their chests, their faces contorting in pain along with Li Huowang.

While they were writhing in the same agony he felt, Li Sui sheared off Li Huowang's fingers, spiraling them into the temples of two members of the Astrological Bureau.

With the death of that Taoist, the Eight Trigrams Array that was tattooed on the trio quickly faded, and Li Huowang found himself able to move.

Ignoring the two people strung up with him, Li Huowang, with bloodshot eyes, forcefully tore off the Talisman from his forehead and, enduring the intense pain throughout his body, charged at the remaining members of the Astrological Bureau,

"How many times must I say it!! I'm not from the damn Oblivion Path!!"

The members of the Astrological Bureau, who couldn't handle Li Huowang when he was restrained, were now even less of a match for him now that he was free.

Especially with the intermittent help from the remaining members of the Oblivion Path and Li Sui, the defeat of the Astrological Bureau was even swifter.

Seeing his white banner sliced in half, the hunchback staggered backwards, panic-stricken, blurting out quickly, "Alright, alright! You're not from Oblivion Path! I believe you, I believe you!!"

In a flash of white light, the Longsword filled with Evil Qi took advantage of his speech to pierce directly into his mouth and out the back of his head, clinking against the rammed earth wall behind him.

Li Huowang stared into his opponent's eyes, which were filled with despair, and squeezed all his strength onto the hilt of the sword. The rammed earth wall instantly gave way to a hole.

As the hunchback's eyes rolled back swiftly, his hands, which clutched the hilt, fell limply. All the previous members of the Astrological Bureau had been utterly killed by Li Huowang.

"Boss Hong Zhong is truly powerful!"

"Indeed, otherwise why would he be called Boss Hong Zhong, and why would we two be considered mere pawns?"

Two jubilant voices came from behind Li Huowang.

Li Huowang pulled the sword out from the hunchback's mouth and, with a reverse motion, reinserted it into the sheath on his back. He then grabbed the flagpole embedded in his flesh and began to slowly pull it out.

As the flagpole was removed, the members of the Oblivion Path, who had been impaled on the flagpole against Li Huowang's back, finally regained their freedom.

As they flattered Li Huowang, exchanging words as if they were performing a comic dialogue, he drew the Longsword from its sheath again. The blood-stained tip pointed directly at the heads of the two from the Oblivion Path. "Where are Xinsu and Bei Feng now!"
