Chapter 16: Chapter 16; Date
For the first time in his life, Ezekiel's brain seemed to stop working. The only thing echoing in his mind was Alexia's words: "Can I take you out tomorrow?" It rang over and over, and the only word he managed to utter was, "Where?" He was utterly stupefied—an emotion he didn't know if he had ever felt.
"To the amusement park," Alexia replied, her eyes shining with delight. She grabbed his hand, tugging him back toward the bed. "Please, I really want to go out with you. I even made a list of things I want to do when I have a boyfriend!" She grinned, pulling out a journal and flipping it open.
Ezekiel blinked, finally snapping out of his daze. He took the journal from her and scanned the lengthy list. "All of these?" he asked, raising an eyebrow at the long list.
"Yup!" Alexia nodded enthusiastically. "And since I don't know when I'll have another boyfriend, I want to do them all with you." Her eyes pleaded with him, sparkling with earnest hope. She really wanted to experience ever on her list with him, no one else
Ezekiel wanted to refuse. He didn't want her getting too close—she shouldn't. But as he gazed into her fiery eyes, glowing with passion, his resolve crumbled. He couldn't bear the thought of extinguishing that flame. With a reluctant sigh, he muttered his agreement. His lips almost twitched into a smile when her eyes burned even brighter with joy.
"Thank you, thank you!" she exclaimed, leaping at him in pure elation. Wrapping her arms around him, she hugged him tightly, straddling his lap in the process. "I want us to wear matching outfits too! I'll send you a picture of my clothes so you can pick yours, okay?" she said, her warm breath tickling his neck.
Ezekiel froze, his body stiffening at the awkward position. His jaw tightened as a dangerous glint flickered in his eyes. Without a word, he shifted, flipping Alexia onto the bed and pinning her beneath him.
Alexia blinked up at him, her breath hitching as she registered their position. Her cheeks flushed crimson as Ezekiel's intense gaze bore into hers. "What are you doing?" he asked, his voice low and husky.
Still dazed, Alexia felt something hard press against her abdomen. Realization dawned, her eyes widening in disbelief. Her blush deepened as she stammered, "I'm sorry! I was just so happy…"
Ezekiel hastily pushed himself off her, retreating toward the door without another word. Alexia lay sprawled on the bed, staring at the space he'd just left. Embarrassment lingered on her face, but worry soon replaced it. Grabbing her phone, she began typing.
In his room, Ezekiel leaned against the door, breathing heavily as he tried to regain his composure. His phone buzzed, pulling his attention to a message from Alexia.
[Are you okay? Do you need help? 😥]
His brows furrowed. Why is she concerned? he thought , his body reacting once again to the thought of her "helping." He ignored it and started typing back.
[Mm, no.]
Alexia responded almost immediately. [I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to. If you need help, just tell me!]
[Mm.]
A moment later, another message popped up—a picture of a blue jean and black top.
[This is the outfit for tomorrow. Oh, and I don't want you to disguise yourself! Goodnight! 🥰🥰]
[Ok.]
Alexia waited, hoping for a goodnight in return, but it never came. Disappointed but unsurprised, she placed her phone down.
She was determined, she knew that behind his cold facade was the real him, and she wanted to get to the real him. Soon, with a smile on her face she fell asleep.
Meanwhile, Ezekiel stood in the shower, letting the cold water fall over him. Despite his efforts, the image of Alexia "helping" him kept surfacing, his temperature rising unreasonably.
---
The next morning, Alexia woke early, her excitement bubbling over as she hummed while getting ready. After braiding her hair and dressing in her chosen outfit, she headed downstairs to prepare breakfast.
The maids, who had overheard her declaration the previous night, were already waiting for her and watched as Alexia whipped up a simple spread of sandwiches, scrambled eggs, vegetables salad and fruit juice. She was just dishing out the food when Ezekiel appeared.
Alexia gasped audibly. Ezekiel, dressed casually in a black polo and blue jeans, looked stunning. His well-defined physique was impossible to ignore. Her heart fluttered with joy, realizing he'd chosen the matching outfit.
"Breakfast is ready! Hurry up so we can eat and leave," she said cheerfully, her eyes sparkling as she watched him take his seat.
Tyler walked into the sitting room rubbing his eyes sleepily, still in his Pyjamas, his eyes widened in disbelief noticing the couple eating on the dining table, eating. The self-made photographer sneakily took a picture before walking downstairs.
"hey where are you guys going to" he asked while serving himself.
"The amusement park! I'm taking Kiel on a date," Alexia replied with enthusiasm.
Tyler choked on his juice, laughing uncontrollably. "Pfft... Ha-ha! Zeke, isn't it supposed to be the other way around? huh K.I.E.L?"
Ezekiel ignored him, continuing to eat in silence.
As if remembering something, Alexia turned to Ezekiel. "You don't have plans today, do you?"
"No," he replied.
Alexia grinned, pulling him to get up once they were done with eating. Tyler just stared at Zeke, blinking, they were supposed to go back home but it looked like Zeke just cancelled the plan so he could hang out with Alexia, not like he minded anyway. This was way better.
Soon, the three of them were in the car, Tyler, the driver, with Alexia and Ezekiel seated in the back as they made their way to Funtime Park.
Unlike the first time, the ride was filled with a comfortable silence as mild music played in the car.
Alighting from the car, they earned gasps as everyone looked at the dashing ginger head driver and the couple wearing matching outfits...
