The Unknown; Hellbent

Chapter 12: Chapter 12; You're mine

The soft morning glow radiated through the window, waking Alexia up. She immediately got up and freshened up before she went downstairs. Seeing her parents already in the kitchen acting all lovey-dovey, Alexia's mouth twitched and she suddenly imagined her doing stuff like that with Ezekiel "what is wrong with me" she muttered to herself, shaking off thoughts about him she went to her parents.

Soon the family of three were reclining at the table having breakfast with Alexia still looking nervous to bring up the 'im leaving' conversation, gathering her courage she eventually began "mom, dad, I'll be staying with Gina for a while, she just broke up and will need someone to stay with her and comfort her" she told her parents.

Her father narrowed his gaze at her causing Alexia to gulp in fear, her father Leon Liu was not really someone that could be easily fooled, as expected of a business man. Alexia quickly put on her best innocent expression. "Please, Dad," she coaxed. "I'm bored with you two always working late. I promise I'll still visit, and it's just for a few weeks."

It took some pleading and her signature pout, but they eventually relented. Overjoyed, she dashed upstairs to pack and called Gina to pick her up.

As she was packing her eyes fell on Ezekiel's suit draped on the chair and a smile tugged her lips remembering last night, getting up, she picked the suit and neatly put it in a bag wanting to deliver it to his office. She just really wanted to see him again and this was a perfect opportunity.

Taking in the dating scent of him which still lingered on his suit, she was lost and didn't notice when Gina arrival until her friend spoke "whose suit is that?" Gina asked stunning Alexia.

Gina's eyes widened as realisation hit her "dont tell me....how did you get it" she asked again, shock and curiosity evident on her face.

"He gave it to me seeing I was cold" Alexia said simply with that dreamy look in her eyes.

Seeing her friend Gina's mouth fell open before she facepalmed. "Alexia Liu, you're doomed. Your stubbornness will get the best of you."

Alexia laughed, unbothered. "I know."

Once packed, they carried the luggage to Gina's car. Alexia couldn't help but chuckle when her mother gave Gina a pitiful look.

"Seriously? It wasn't enough to use me as your excuse? You had to bring up my breakup too?" Gina complained once they were outside.

It was because when Gina had just arrived, her mom had sympathized with her telling her to take it easy and not be in a rush to get a boyfriend "I suddenly had the urge to tell her that her precious little baby just got herself a boyfriend imagine how worried she'll be" Gina teased mischievously making Alexia clamp her mouth shut.

After loading everything to their car, she hugged her parents goodbye and they set off—but not to Gina's place. Alexia insisted on making a quick stop at Moonstar Entertainment to return the suit. Arriving at the grand building, they approached the receptionist, who immediately recognized Alexia.

"Gosh who is this girl?" Dollie muttered under her breath, her gaze narrowing at the confident redhead standing before her.

"I don't have an appointment. Is that a problem?" Alexia asked mockingly, her smug expression only aggravating Dollie further.

"N-not at all, ma'am," the receptionist replied through gritted teeth.

In the elevator, Gina arched a brow. "What's with the attitude?"

"She's one of those bitchy types. Putting people like her in their place is satisfying," Alexia replied with a smirk.

When they reached Ezekiel's office, Alexia knocked softly. Inside, Ezekiel and his friend Tyler exchanged curious glances before continuing with their tasks. Well they weren't expecting anyone and if it was Ramon he'd have just come inside but he wasn't even around.

Frustrated by the lack of response, Alexia swung the door open, startling them both.

"Am I that invisible?" she huffed, crossing her arms.

Ezekiel's stoic gaze landed on her, his eyes trailing from her loosely tied ponytail to her pouted lips then to her tucked-in blouse, and darkened at the sight of her shorts that barely covered her legs.

"Ms. Red, what brings you here?" Tyler asked, stopping his game and slipping his phone into his pocket.

"I came to return Zeke's suit and thank him properly," Alexia announced, her boldness earning a smirk from Tyler and a raised brow from Ezekiel.

"Zeke?" Tyler repeated, amused.

Alexia tilted her head, feigning innocence. "Since I'm going to be living with him as his girlfriend, I figured I'd use his nickname. Though 'Zeke' feels bland—I'll think of something better."

The room fell silent as Ezekiel stared at her audacity while Tyler suppressed his laughter.

"you surely will Ms, please keep thinking hard" he encouraged earning him a glare. The invisible accomplice, Gina, sensing it was time to give them privacy, tugged Tyler out of the room despite the latter's protest.

Alone, Alexia approached Ezekiel with the bag, but before she could hand it over, he stood abruptly. Slamming his hands on the desk, he leaned in, trapping her between him and the table. She gasped, confusion on her face as she stared at him.

Her breath hitched as his face hovered inches from hers, "Little Red you should remember that pretend or not, you're mine. Don't wear such short clothes again—or you'll regret it." he whispered possessively.

The heat of his words made her blush, but her defiance got the better of her. "Why?" she challenged softly.

She felt Ezekiel's smirk deepened as he leaned closer, his breath hot against her ear. "I'll punish you."

Before she could respond, he nipped at her earlobe, his mouth trailing down to her neck as if to solidify his words. When he bit her nape, a spark of something unfamiliar and electrifying coursed through her, surprising her and leaving her speechless.
