"By the way, Danny."

"Hm?"

"Why did you choose that Dungeon? Its difficulty is clearly higher than yours though?" Liz asked curiously.

"Um, um. I was wondering the same thing." Briar continued Liz sentences.

We were on the bus to the entrance of the dungeon I had chosen. After a while of small talk, Liz finally asked the question that Briar was also wondering about.

"The reason why I chose the Colupia Ruins? Hmmm..."

I was a bit tongue-tied when I was asked that out of the blue.

"According to the description, the Dungeon is laid out as a maze with narrow passages. I'm, well, you know, I'm pretty weak. I'm afraid of being surrounded, so I chose this one. Narrow passages mean monsters will attack in small groups, so if we arrange our formation well, we can totally handle it even if the difficulty is higher than our rank."

I'm not a genius or anything. I'm just an ordinary person with ordinary thoughts. I can't think of anything complicated or make any grand plans. That's the simple reason why I chose this dungeon.

My choice might be wrong, but I know that I won't die because of the life-saving items that Hollis distributed. It's okay to take a risk.

"That sounds reasonable."

Briar nodded in agreement, while Liz just silently thought about something.

"What's wrong?"

Seeing Liz's expression made me curious. She must have something to say.

"Okay, I won't mention the monsters anymore since you have a point. But what about traps and mazes? Is there anyone among us who's good at spotting traps and has a good sense of direction? Because I'm hopeless. I'm terrible with directions..."

Liz answered me with another question. Luckily, I had already expected this question.

"I can detect traps. My eyesight is pretty sharp, you know." I patted my chest and said proudly.

With the Sharp Gaze skill in hand, why would I be afraid of falling into traps? Just by activating the skill, I can see the small, unusual details, thereby avoiding the traps. I don't believe that an E-rank Dungeon would have traps so sophisticated that my skill can't see them.

"What about determining the direction? I'm not very good at that either...". Briar scratched his head while smiling bitterly.

"Ah... that's...". I stammered.

"That's...?". Liz looked at me curiously.

"...oh well. Let's just leave it to fate." I smiled wryly while the corners of my eyes twitched a little.

"..."

The atmosphere suddenly became a little awkward.

What am I supposed to do? I'm not an expert on dungeons. In my past life, I was such a coward that I never even entered a dungeon. Not to mention, I'm terrible at navigation. Somehow, our team is miraculously made up of people who are all bad at finding their way around. It's like a cosmic joke or something.

The more I thought about it, the angrier I got. What the hell did I do for the 13 long years of my previous life? If I had just bothered to participate in Dungeon conquests, I would at least know some basics.

"Hey Danny, you seem a bit off. Is everything okay?"

Liz asked when she saw my face, which I guessed was as dark as the bottom of a pot.

"Nothing, I just remembered something unpleasant." I waved my hand to show that I was fine.

"If you say so... Oh, and by the way. You're planning to hunt monsters to earn contribution points, right? So how are you going to carry all those loot back?" Liz changed the subject.

"This..."

I was a little embarrassed to be asked that out of the blue...

It's not that I haven't thought about it, but I really can't afford to buy a storage space. I can only try to cram everything into my luggage. I know it won't fit much, but what can I do?...In the worst case, I'll just have to transport it out in batches.

Seeing the awkwardness in my eyes, Liz smiled and grabbed my hand. An object that looked like a bracelet was neatly placed in my hand as Liz pulled her small hands back.

"For you." Liz smiled mischievously.

"This is...?"

Seeing this, a thought popped into my head, but I immediately denied it. There was no way this bracelet could be that. It's too precious to just give away like this.

"It's a Storage Space"

Hearing the answer, I couldn't close my mouth and looked at Liz with wide eyes. I could hardly believe what I just heard.

Briar was a little surprised when she heard Liz's words.

After a while, I finally calmed down. I gritted my teeth and returned the bracelet to Liz.

"But this is too expensive, I can't accept it." I shook my head.

I really want it, but it's too expensive. I don't like being indebted to others.

"If you don't accept it, I'll throw it away. I just got a bigger Storage Space as a gift. I don't use the old one anymore." Liz said in a regretful tone.

She's clearly lying. This bracelet looks brand new, it's never been worn. She's just saying that so I'll take it without feeling guilty.

"Haizz... okay. Since you said so, I'll accept it." I let out a helpless sigh and smiled bitterly.

Hearing my words, Liz's eyes lit up. She smiled brightly.

I closed my eyes and began to feel the space inside the ring. I was shocked at first sight.

'Fuck, it's huge'

Inside this ring was a cubic space with each side measuring 50 m. This thing would be sold for a very high price on the market. I really owed Liz a big favor. With this thing, I could freely stuff my spoils in.

Her family is very wealthy, so even if I returned the bracelet or offered to pay her back, she definitely wouldn't accept it. Let's just say I owe her a favor this time. I'll do my best to help her whenever she needs.

I then quickly put my luggage into the storage space and we continued chatting until we reached the Dungeon's entrance.

---

"Please present your pass"

The gatekeeper stopped us as soon as he realized that we seemed to be underage to enter the Dungeon. He put on a serious expression and asked us to present our pass, something that only Awakeners over 18 years old had.

Awakeners will receive their passes once they turn 18 and pass the Association's exam.

Well, we didn't have any such licenses, all three of us were students. But students also have this and that, we weren't ordinary students but students of Hollis.

I took out the proof of qualification to enter the Dungeon from the storage space, which I got when I was in the Trading Hall. I needed this to enter the Dungeon.

As soon as he realized that we were Hollis students, the gatekeeper's eyebrows relaxed. If we were Hollis students, he had nothing to worry about.

"Have you three brought your life-saving items?" The staff member asked with a smile.

The three of us nodded in unison.

Speaking of life-saving items, they were something that Hollis students were required to have if they wanted to register to enter the Dungeon.

When registering to enter the Dungeon for the first time, P-Assi would distribute a life-saving item to each person. That item would not be activated unless the student was in danger of death, either inside or outside the Dungeon. As long as nothing unexpected happened, we wouldn't need to buy a new one and could use it until graduation.

When registering to enter the Dungeon again, students were required to present that item to P-Assi for verification in order to gain access to the Dungeon. If a student has used the item, they must purchase a new one to be allowed entry.

"Alright, you can go in."

After confirming everything, the gatekeeper smiled and made way for us. We nodded and immediately entered the Dungeon Gate, which looked like a vortex.

Entering the gate, my vision immediately blurred. When I regained my vision, the surrounding scenery had changed. At the same time, a feeling of nausea immediately struck.

"Ugh...". I tried to restrain myself, avoiding throwing up in front of the two main characters. If I threw up, it would be embarrassing as hell.

This was a normal reaction for people who had just passed through a teleportation gate for the first time. The Dungeon Gate was also a teleportation gate, so it was very normal for my body to react like this.

Looking at Briar, his expression was also a bit uncomfortable, but much better than mine. As for Liz, it was completely normal.

Liz's family is wealthy, so using a teleportation gate, which is quite expensive, is just like spending a few cents for them. Whenever she needs to go somewhere far, she can simply step through the gate and arrive. She's used to it from doing it so often.

And why wasn't Briar as annoyed as me? He had also stepped through the gate a few times, but it was the gate of the White Dungeon. This type of Dungeon only appeared randomly and disappeared very quickly so it was super hard to encounter. And inside them were all opportunity, there was nothing dangerous.

Although it was hard to encounter, Briar had actually stepped into a few of them, can you believe it? What a lucky bastard.

After a while of adjusting my state, the feeling of nausea finally disappeared, I could act normally again.

"We will do as we discussed before." I said seriously.

"Okay." Liz and Briar nodded in unison.

While in the bus, we had already formed a simple formation to deal with this Dungeon.

With my Sharp Gaze skill that can detect traps, I would take the lead.

Briar would be right behind me to provide support whenever needed. After all, he was a melee weapon user and very strong at that too.

As for Liz, she was an archer, so it was natural for her to be behind me to provide support. Having her support from behind made me feel reassured.

"We should move quickly. We have to seize every moment." I said and started moving.

"Um." Briar and Liz nodded and followed closely behind me.
