Chapter 12: walker of worlds
In a large mansion somewhere in cove continent, a black SUV pulled up at it's steel reinforced gates. Stepping out from the small security stall, the male guard immediately identified the black SUV.
"Open the gates." He gestured with his hands to a camera. A buzz sound was heard, as the gates slid to the side open. Zooming in, the black SUV then made it's way past the small garden, stopping at the parking lot. Along with other good quality cars, that was no doubt expensive.
The rear door of the SUV was opened and quickly shut the same way, as a young man hurriedly made his way to the house.
"Welcome master Alex would-" ignoring them he entered the mansion, striding through the beautiful peach flower tiles.
"Haha! don't mind him, he's just stressed out today than usual." Bruce chuckled, to which the three maids wearing the official black and white maid uniform nodded. They then got on with other chores, while Bruce headed inside.
"Master Alex welcome." A group of guards bowed to which he casually waved, not stopping in the slightest. Reaching the east wing of the house, he marched towards the last door in the hall where 8 armed guards were stationed.
Not waiting for an invitation or permission, Alex flung the two white doors open barging in the room.
"What the hell where you thinking voting Bryce as head of OSP!" Alex impatiently said fuming with anger. His face was slightly red, from how much his blood boiled.
"You know how power driven he is. He would do anything to ensure he rises to the top, without considering the safety of others!" Alex said, his voice a bit high pitched from how angry he was.
"Is that how you greet your father?" The man opposite him calmly said, dropping the newspaper in his hand to the desk. He was a matured man with ash hair and beard, wearing a chicc brown suit and pants.
"A-am sorry father." Alex apologized, calming himself down and bowing his head. "I didn't mean any disrespect, I just get a little much mad at times."
"None taken." Jacob flint, Alex father smiled at his son.
"Take a seat." He gestured to which Alex complied, sitting on one of the office chairs.
"First of all, I didn't vote Bryce to be head of OSP." Jacob calmly spoke to which stunned Alex a bit. His father was the former senator of cove city, spearheading all the activities and affairs in it. He did a great job along with his mother Angeline flint, who was his personal advicer and also the head of cove's continent treasures.
Together they made good of the resources found, keeping the extra valuable ones and making the best out of them. While also selling items for a decent rate, to both zephyr and Agathe.
But according to the universal law governing the three continents, a candidate must resign after 30 years of service. And can not apply for another post after these 30 years. Though everyone loved him and wanted him to stay, he chose to resign on his own Accord. But not before making his son Alex, succeed him as senator.
Though he was out of power, they still seeked his help and opinions during matters and affairs affecting the three continents.
"Y-you didn't?" Alex stuttered shocked, as his father was a biased man just like Marcus. He usually was skeptical on his decisions, voting on his own mind.
"Of course I didn't. I might be biased, but that doesn't mean am blind to differentiate good from evil." Jacob calmly said shaking his head a bit.
"I might not agree with you sometimes, but I bet we both agree Bryce being head of OSP is a bad omen." Getting up Jacob then walked over to Alex, gently sitting on the desk.
"Am not getting any younger son, but I can still throw a few punches." Jacob joked nudging Alex's shoulder. Placing his hand on the latter's shoulder, Jacob had a proud look on his face.
"I know I don't say this often, but am proud of you son. You've grown up to be a fine young man and an even better senator than I was." He chuckled a bit his eyes a bit teary.
"As a senator, it's your job to protect your continent and also others. so act the part." He smiled, gently giving him two light taps on his shoulder.
"I-i promise to make you proud dad." Alex declared with a determined face.
'I don't know whatever scheme you're up to bryce, but am going to stop you.' He vowed in his heart.

Standing there in the swampy area, jack pranced back and forth contemplating on his next course of action. He died and had just been reincarnated some few moments back, so deciding was a bit hard for him.
'This doesn't make any sense. I mean systems are only meant in machines, so how the hell do I have a friggin system?' Jack pondered, as systems were only seen in technological devices and not humans. Or in his case an undead.
[Welcome host to the undead system]
[To view your profile simply say 'status']
[Warning! Host health points is deteriorating fast, please consume flesh before hp runs out]
This were the only three notifications that kept reoccurring in his head. He got the first two notifications, as he now somehow magically had a system. But the third was a bit nerve-wracking, as he didn't know what the system meant by hp.
"Ha.. Ok, here goes nothing." With no other choice, jack decided to follow his system guide and see his profile.
"Status." He said out loud and the other panels disappeared, with the emergence of a new single panel.

"Woah! this really is just like a game." Jack exclaimed, staring at his profile interface. It was similar to some games he played back in Agathe, but this was much much advanced with an otherworldly interface.
Gazing through the screen, be understood most of the stuff there. Strength meaning how much power he had. Agility how fast he was, stamina how long he could last and intelligence meaning how smart he was.
'Why are they all so low, am I that weak?' Jack frowned a bit downcast at his low stat points. He didn't expect much but still, it was belittling.
'Hp hp.. does it mean my life?' Jack thought unsure what the system meant by hp. He thought a screen would magically appear in his vision explaining it, but it never happened.
"So body state is the condition my body is in physically which is.. deteriorating." Jack sighed in frustration, seeing some parts of his skin falling to the floor.
'Now I know what it meant.' Jack gritted his teeth as he was dying again. Well he wasn't sure as he guessed hp was his life, and body state how he physically was.
'I wonder what'll happen if it reaches zero.' Jack thought having no idea what would happen. It was either he died again, or all the flesh in his body fell apart leaving him boneless. But either way, it was a risky gamble he wasn't willing to take.
"This is too good to be true." Jack's eye widened, staring at the walker of worlds title. If the title description were true, then he could go back to Agathe where he died.
'I-i can see Kelly again.' He smiled imagining their reunion. Even though it was for just five minutes, he was willing to take that opportunity.
"Phew.. thank goodness I don't have to literally consume the flesh like a cannibal." Though he was a walking decomposing corpse, jack still hated the idea of chewing someone's flesh in his mouth. If worse came to worse, he'd rather die again than chew someone's flesh. But luckily he could do so without the cannibal part, with his skill decay.
Glancing through the rest, he could see a section labelled system store and shop locked. And he had to reach level 15 to unlock them, but he wasn't in a hurry at all.
"Alright then, guess it's time." Jack grinned, the thought of seeing Kelly again lingering in his mind.
[Would user like to activate walker of worlds title?] The prompt system notification popped up in his view.
"Hell yeah!" He accepted without thinking twice. Before his eyes, a strange drawing then appeared under his feet.
[Please say the sacred words.. Azure kabal]
'Sacred? I thought that old devil was just spilling trash.' Jack laughed, surprised the system labeled the words that mysterious old man said as sacred.
"Azure kabal." Jack said causing the drawing to light up, as he sank into the portal which formed beneath.
