Chapter 706: Are You Lying?
Su Jinyu nodded, and within a few minutes, had already sent the photo over. Looking at Chen Xiaoqi's adorable appearance, Luo Chao couldn't help but nod. It seems his photography skills are quite excellent!
"Xiaoqi, are you sure nothing happened between you and Luo Chao?" Jiang Yuanyuan asked curiously. Could it be that they had the day off, but Luo Chao was called away by his father?
"Yeah, except for him seeing all my clothes, nothing else happened." Chen Xiaoqi said indifferently. Everything that was supposed to happen had already happened because of that accident back then.
In this current situation, it's quite a normal thing. However, Jiang Yuanyuan still felt a bit heartbroken hearing it. Originally, it should have been something she should bear, but she hadn't expected Chen Xiaoqi to take it on instead.
"Xiaoqi, I'm really sorry. If back then..."
"It's fine. Thank goodness it was Brother Luo Chao, so everything turned out okay. Besides, you're the First Lady. Don't get mad at me for stealing a bite before you."
Chen Xiaoqi's mischievous appearance made Jiang Yuanyuan burst out in frustration, and they started fooling around together. After all, Luo Chao wouldn't be back anytime soon.
"A text message?" Chen Xiaoqi paused, opened her phone, and burst into laughter after seeing her own photo.
Even though Jiang Yuanyuan knew what Chen Xiaoqi was doing over there, she was still surprised to see the photo. So, she was really doing that.
Seriously, even at this time, how can she be so relaxed?
In a villa, Xie Chengfeng was sitting there. Just then, his son had called again. It seemed like his addiction got the better of him, and he used drugs, plus he ran out of money.
"A total of 200 million US Dollars, remember, if you know what's good for you, hand over the money quickly." Xie Chengdong hung up the phone, feeling helpless.
Even though he had a lot of money, 200 million US Dollars was still a very significant amount compared to his total assets.
However, total assets are one thing, and accessible cash is another. If he recklessly sold off his assets, they would end up on the cheap.
"Looks like I'll have to cooperate with him." Xie Chengfeng said somewhat helplessly. He didn't want it to be this way, but if he succeeded, he'd have the money to save his son.
Xie Chengfeng slowly took a drag on his cigarette, thinking that when this kid came back, he had to discipline him properly. Even if he didn't achieve anything big in the future, he couldn't keep going on like this.
"You're Xie Chengfeng, right? The taste of this cigarette isn't too bad."
A strange voice appeared near Xie Chengfeng's ear, making him freeze. Besides himself, only A Long was allowed in this place.
Clearly, this voice wasn't A Long's. He instinctively took a few steps back, looking at the young man in front of him, feeling like he'd seen him somewhere before.
"Who are you?" Xie Chengfeng asked instinctively. Whoever possessed such skill surely wasn't ordinary. A Long was a Yellow Level expert, even if just at the Initial Stage, he had protected him numerous times in the city.
Being able to enter his room without A Long noticing was already very impressive.
He doubted that Luo Chao would reveal his identity. It must be about money, perhaps. They really were in the same boat; he himself was running low on money already.
"All the money's in the safe; you can help yourself if you want." Originally, there were tens of millions in cash in there, but now it was gone.
Luo Chao didn't say anything, walked over to the safe, and delivered a kick. The safe flew out instantly, crashing heavily against the wall.
Upon closer inspection, the safe was already deformed from the kick. It was reinforced and yet someone kicked it like that.
"Did you think I came to steal money? Let me tell you, I was sent by Jiang Weidong; my job is to protect Jiang Weidong's daughter, Jiang Yuanyuan."
A bodyguard for Jiang Yuanyuan? Xie Chengfeng burst into laughter after hearing this. Such skills, and yet he's a bodyguard for Jiang Yuanyuan. Forget Jiang Yuanyuan, not even Jiang Weidong might be able to hire someone with such abilities.
"Master Xie, are you alright?"
A Long was stunned by the commotion upstairs. Someone had slipped right past him and made such a ruckus.
If anything happened to Xie Chengfeng, he really wouldn't be able to explain it.
"Who are you?" A Long asked warily, looking at Luo Chao. Though Luo Chao was strong, he would not hesitate. For Xie Chengfeng, it was worth risking his life.
"I'm here to talk to your master, not you!" Luo Chao shot him a glare, and the next second, A Long was unconscious.
Wiping his hands, Luo Chao calmly looked at Xie Chengfeng, "You know what to do, right? Sign the stock transfer agreement, and your life will be spared."
Stock transfer agreement? Xie Chengfeng shook his head; this was his son's lifeline, and he couldn't possibly hand it over.
"No, absolutely not; I won't agree to this. This villa, my life, I'll give them to you, but this thing, no way."
Xie Chengfeng felt helpless. He was afraid of death, but he knew if he caved here, he'd be endangering his son's life.
"Oh, you'll risk even your life? Can't imagine how you got entangled with Qi Lingfen, who hasn't been embezzling from the company over the years."
Of course, Xie Chengfeng knew this. He regretted that if he had embezzled a bit back then, perhaps his son wouldn't be in such trouble now.
Yet, he didn't think it was right. If he could do it over, he would never have sent his son abroad for studies.
"Go ahead, tell me your reason. While I'm still curious." Luo Chao adjusted his clothes, sat down, and looked at Xie Chengfeng with curiosity.
He'd come to solve problems, not to create unnecessary chaos. Either way, resolving the issue was the main goal.
"I had no choice. My son got into drugs overseas."
Xie Chengfeng's nonchalant statement made Luo Chao gasp. The following was pretty much what he had imagined.
"You mean he got himself into a huge debt and is being held by some foreign folks?" Luo Chao looked into Xie Chengfeng's eyes, wanting to see if he was lying.
