The Twin Mage

In the heart of chaos, two lives were on the verge of ending. Arthur crouched behind a police car, his breath steady despite the tension crackling in the air. The firefight outside the bank was a deadly dance, each movement calculated, every bullet a silent conversation between life and death. As he rose to return fire, a sharp pain lanced through his skull—a bullet had found its mark. His world went dark in an instant.

Across town, Morgan charged into a burning building, her firefighter's uniform barely shielding 

her from the searing heat. The structure groaned under the assault of the flames, but she pushed forward, determined to find the baby boy trapped inside. She spotted him, small and frightened, and scooped him up into her arms. But as she reached the exit, the building gave way, collapsing in a roar of flames and debris. Her life was snuffed out in a heartbeat.

In an ethereal, otherworldly plane, Arthur and Morgan stood face-to-face, disoriented but alive—or something like it.

Arthur blinked, recognition dawning as he looked at the woman before him. They rushed into an 

embrace, a mix of relief and confusion in their eyes.

"Sis, are we...?" Arthur's voice trembled, the weight of the realization sinking in.

Morgan nodded, her voice soft but resolute. "Yeah, bro. We're dead."

Before they could fully grasp their situation, a radiant light surrounded them, and two angels appeared, their presence both comforting and awe-inspiring.

"You both served your world well," one of the angels said, its voice a blend of power and kindness. "You protected the innocent, fought against darkness. For your valor, a deity from another realm offers you a second chance at life. Will you accept her offer and help her world?"

Without hesitation, they replied in unison, "Yes."

The other angel continued, "You will be granted five wishes each and the power to create your own race."

Arthur, ever cautious, asked, "What do you mean by 'our own race'?"

"Think of it as crafting a new species," the angel explained, "like how a supreme magus might Guardian."

Morgan's eyes lit up with understanding. "So, we'll be like the first of our kind, like griffins or dragons?"

"Exactly," the angel confirmed.

Arthur's mind raced with possibilities. "Does this world have magic?"

"Indeed," the angel replied, its voice carrying the weight of ancient knowledge.

Morgan then asked, "What are the rules for our wishes and the creation of our race?"

"You cannot collaborate on your wishes," the angel explained, "but you can work together to create your race."

Morgan nodded thoughtfully, turning to Arthur. "We need to think carefully."

Before they could delve deeper into their plans, the angels asked, "What are your names?"

Arthur straightened. "Arthur."

"And I'm Morgan," she added.

A will of light separated them, leaving each alone with their thoughts.

Arthur and Morgan found himself enveloped in the light. They called out, "What are the magic professions and magic elements?"

Specialization; Forge master, Alchemy, Battle mage, Warden, Healer, Crystal smithing, Mage Knight, Necromancer, Light Master, Darkness Master, Creation Magic, Mage Assassin, and Rune smithing.

Element Regular; Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Light, Darkness, and Spirit 

Element Curse; Decay, Chaos, Cinder, Zero, Choke, Corruption and reverse spirit

Arthur wishes;

A high IQ.

A high EQ.

Natural high mana.

High stamina.

Morgan wishes;

Natural high mana.

High stamina.
