The Tangled Threads of Love

Chapter 11: Chapter 11 - A Bouquet of Flowers

The good weather improved Princess Zakia's mood and her cat, Prime was with her sitting beside the lake. She was picking a piece of cheese and butter to make a sandwich.

"Prime, let's get in the mood." She gave cat food for the cat and she was eating the sandwich.

It was getting hot under the sun when she decided to move away from the lake, there she saw Prince Garry, who was standing behind a tree. She turned her back on him and started walking away. She was afraid of what he would like to do to her. She knew his intention that he wanted to marry her and after that, he would take the throne.

"Your greetings, Princess Zakia." He dashed in front of her. He was smiling and making himself good-looking in her eyes, but she refused to look at him.

"Please, stop." She wanted to close her conversation with him and go home now.

"I know I did something wrong and I apologize for that. I wanted to give my peace offering to you." he gave her a bouquet, and she didn't look at him.

"Don't fool me, Prince Garry. I made up my mind and you don't have to do this."

"Fine, it is okay for me, but my ego is telling me that you should accept this." He was persuading her and all she could do was to reject him.

In the Kingdom of Samdrathania, the kingdom where Princess Zakia belongs, when you receive a bouquet, the woman would accept the man's heart. By doing this, he would court the woman to be his wife.

He started following her and he insisted on giving her the bouquet, but she demanded him not to follow her. "Please, accept my bouquet."

She sighed deeply as she turned her face to him. "I apologize, but I can't accept your bouquet and please, leave me alone."

He looked down as he went to his horse for a ride to go home. He was upset the whole day and he couldn't eat his snacks in the afternoon. He would sleep the whole day on his bed and make sure that nobody would enter. "This is not good for me. I need her to get all I need."

He couldn't deny the truth that he wasn't attracted to her. All he could see was the throne in the Kingdom of Samdrathania. He was thinking about being the king of all four kingdoms and he would be able to beat his twin sister, Princess Ara. He would like to change the rules by marrying Princess Zakia. He wanted to make the chaos come true.

By laying on the bed alone, he started snoring for a moment and for a long time. The maids were telling him to get up and eat, but he didn't respond and he was sleeping soundly.

The maids told Queen Barbara about the situation of the prince. She changed her clothes, wearing her diamond necklace, and dashed to the bedroom hall, where Prince Garry was sleeping. She knocked on the door, but there was no response. She kicked it with her right foot and made a loud bang. It was when the prince woke up.

"My dear, what happened to you?"

"Nothing. I fell asleep for a long time. I apologize for this."

"Are you sick?" She checked his temperature, but he was fine.

On the other side, Princess Zakia was wearing her night bed dress while she put her cat, Prime beside her. "Be careful in sleeping with me. Don't scratch my skin, okay?" The cat meowed as a response to her.

That night, she remembered her appointment with Prince Hendrix. He was waiting beside the lake by seven in the evening. They would go to the market where the poison was discovered, and they wanted to know how the people's condition.

She went to the lake secretly before seven, and when she saw his back, she bit her lower lip. She pretended that she was looking in the sky.

"You're there, Prime." Prince Hendrix handed her some food to eat for dinner.

"What is this?"

"A real food for this night." He was smiling brightly as the moon was filled with thick clouds.

"This is delicious." She was eating with her bare hands and the prince was smiling. "You should eat like a man. You should try this." She gave the small piece of chicken in his mouth and there, the prince was shocked at her behavior.

"Are you serious?" He emitted the food.

"Wait, you shouldn't waste food in front of a poor guy like me."

"You should eat like this. Follow my lead." He used a spoon and fork.

She pretended again and again that she never used the spoon and fork in her whole lifetime. "This is so hard." She moved the spoon and the small piece of chicken fell on her plate.

He used the fork to get the small piece of chicken and gave it to her. "This is easy."

She made it look like she was eating naturally and learning well from his guidance. He was happy and laughing about how she acted, not knowing she was making him look like a fool.

"I think we should go now to the market."

The two were there in the market. There were people making lanterns and the buyer were writing their wishes to come true.

Prince Hendrix was looking at the lanterns up in the sky. "They're beautiful."

Prime was holding two lanterns for them. "You should write your wishes and it will become true."

The prince followed her wish and there, they wrote their wishes and let the lanterns go. The two went to the market of food. They smelled the poison in each food.

"I think we should see other restaurants there." They smelled the liquors with poison and the other group of men was already drunk. He grabbed her shoulder and they went to the side where the group of men were walking away. "Be careful always."

As they walked to get her home, the prince was secretly picking flowers and he wanted to give them to her later when they arrived. "It's a peace offering for laughing at you."

She didn't get it. She knew these tactics to get her heart, but no. She looked like a poor guy in his eyes, she was Prime. She grabbed it and turned her back to him. "Thank you for the dinner. Keep safe at your home."

Prince Hendrix was thinking about how Prime reacted to the flowers. He knew that the poor guy was a guy. It was m

aking him doubt the identity of his friend. "He looks and acts like a girl."
