The System Awakens: Rise of the Champion

Chapter 235: Damian In Heaven - 2

The Heavenly Father simply looked at the great king of demons, vampires, humans, and werewolves with a concerned and nervous expression, almost letting his fear show on his face.

It was ironic, considering that behind the Heavenly Father stood an army of holy angels ready to do whatever he commanded, while in front of him stood only Damian and a group of women.

Even though those women were god-level powerful, they would not interfere in this war.

So essentially, it was the entirety of biblical heaven versus Damian.

Not to mention, the Heavenly Father and the seven Seraphim had witnessed what Damian did to the Norse pantheon, how he had killed almost all of the major gods, leaving only a few alive, such as the goddesses Freya and Frigga, who now stood by his side.

Who knew?

Perhaps they had already become his women, part of his harem.

The Heavenly Father also had to take into account that the forces of the Upper Plane were not interfering.

Since none of them had acted when Damian destroyed the Norse pantheon, there was a strong possibility that the High Order itself stood behind him.

The Heavenly Father simulated thousands of scenarios in his mind in just a couple of minutes, and in every single one, he was devoured by Damian, except one, in which he submitted to him.

There was simply no other way but submission.

Damian smiled as he sensed the decision the Heavenly Father had come to.

He watched as the Heavenly Father floated toward him, then knelt before the great king and raised his hands, offering a brightly glowing ball of silvery light.

Within it was the racial essence of [Holy Angels], the only thing Damian required to become the progenitor of the angelic race.

"Wise choice," Damian muttered as he reached out for the ball of light.

As soon as his fingers neared it, the energy of predation crept from them, devouring the racial essence before retracting back into his body.

The moment the racial essence entered Damian, his body began to release a silver and purple glow as both internal and external changes took place.

[You have devoured the racial essence of Holy Angels]

His figure changed on the outside as well; the holy, silvery glow intensified.

His hair grew longer, turning a bright silver, and his eyes shifted to a radiant blue hue, releasing a faint holy glow.

Behind him, four pairs of long, beautiful, feathered wings burst forth.

The Heavenly Father, Freya, and Frigga watched with shocked expressions.

They knew Damian had some unique ability to become the progenitor of any race, but seeing it with their own eyes was utterly astonishing.

"He turned into an angel…"

"And look at how many wings he has, four pairs!"

"That's impossible… the highest order of holy angels only possesses three pairs…"

Even though Damian had not yet ascended into the angelic progenitor, just by becoming a pure-blooded Holy Angel, he had already surpassed all others.

He was now the highest-ranked angel in existence, superior even to the Seraphim, who were considered equal to the highest-ranked gods.

The process to become the Angelic Progenitor began immediately, and unlike before, his soul had grown so powerful that it would only take a few seconds for him to complete the transformation.

[Evolution into the Progenitor of the Angelic Race is beginning…]

As the evolution began, the silvery-white aura around him shone even brighter, illuminating the heavens.

His presence spread, influencing every single angel in heaven, including Lucifer and the other dark angels in hell, who felt a being not only more powerful but fundamentally superior to their very existence manifest within Damian.

Damian felt both [Dark Essence] and [Holy Essence] surge within him, surrounding him like a dual veil of energy that did not mix but instead maintained perfect balance.

His silver hair turned grey, his eyes turned neon silver, and his four pairs of wings transformed into seven pairs of majestic grey wings.

Waves of holy and dark energy radiated from him before his figure slowly descended to the ground.

Damian landed on the white-brick ground, retracting his seven pairs of wings as he turned his attention toward the army of angels.

They were kneeling before him, behind the Heavenly Father, who could only watch with a frustrated expression as his most beloved creations had now changed sides, becoming Damian's servants, ready to please him.

The Heavenly Father, once the god-king of one of the strongest pantheons in the Lower Planes, a pantheon even the Upper Plane gods thought twice before crossing, had now lost everything.

His greatest creations, his angels, some powerful enough to stand against god-kings, were no longer his.

Damian ignored the holy angels and turned his gaze to the only dark angel present: Lucifer, who quivered under the presence of the Father of the Angelic Race, just as the other angels did.

This was the natural effect of progenitors.

Each race had a progenitor who ruled absolutely, and their mere presence compelled total submission.

Damian smiled and restrained his aura, allowing the angels to breathe again.

"You chose wisely, Heavenly Father," Damian said, glancing at Lucifer.

"My servant will fill you in on the rest. For now, I have something important to attend to…"

He turned toward Lilith. "Lilith, do you want to go with me, or stay in heaven?"

"Wherever Master goes, I go. I don't want to stay in this accursed place," Lilith snorted.

She had already enjoyed watching the Heavenly Father's frustrated expression after losing everything that once made him great.

She was satisfied knowing she was the wife of Damian, the greatest being to ever exist, the man who brought the same god-king who once hunted her down to his knees.

Lilith was no longer just a high-level demon.

She was now queen to the king of many races.

For the first time, she realized she must act with more dignity, for she was superior even to the Heavenly Father now.

"Listen to Lucifer," Damian commanded, his words directed not to the Heavenly Father but to the holy angels.

"He is my servant. His words are my words."

The holy angels nodded like obedient children, their loyalty now completely redirected to their progenitor.

In their eyes, the Heavenly Father was already history.

Lucifer smiled.

Until now, he had harbored frustration over losing his status as ruler of hell, stripped of all influence.

But now, his master had given him the right to command holy angels, the very race that despised dark angels.

This was his revenge: to command heaven itself, the place he was once cast out of.

After giving his instructions to Lucifer, Damian and his wives, along with the goddesses Freya and Frigga, disappeared.

....

Damian and his wives reappeared on the new Earth, inside the modern-day castle built by the High Humans, led by Sir Lucian Holloway and his four High Human wives.

Elfie had been brought to the new Earth after they recovered her from Alfheim, along with her brother.

She was laid upon a bed.

Damian couldn't help but smile, seeing how peaceful she looked.

He knew she wasn't feeling any pain or hurt anymore; she was simply sleeping.

He even suspected she might be able to hear and sense what was happening around her.

"Can you wake her up?" Arlen asked, his expression calm yet filled with concern.

"I can now…" Damian replied as he gently touched the sleeping beauty's forehead.

His hand glowed with holy light as he channeled the essence of a Holy Angel into her, mixed with small percentages of racial essences: noble vampires, alpha werewolves, High Humans, and High Demons.

The moment the combined essences entered her, they began to take effect.

Elfie's body released a faint holy glow as her figure lifted slightly from the bed, radiating delicate waves of energy.

Her appearance began to change.

Her skin paled, though not as much as a vampire's.

Her flesh grew tougher, though not as unyielding as a werewolf's.

Her dark brown hair lightened with a silvery lividity and lengthened gracefully.

From her back, three pairs of feathered wings emerged, but unlike those of a typical Holy Angel, her wings bore talon-like tips reminiscent of a demon's, with sharp, angular structures like those of vampires.

From her forehead sprouted a pair of horns, sweeping backward in a regal curve.

They gleamed with a silvery-white sheen, as though coated in holy essence.

Her very body functions were transformed into something superior: she could metabolize by consuming blood like a vampire, wield immense strength like a werewolf, and adapt with high affinity to nature like the High Humans.

After a few minutes, her transformation into the Superior Holy Angel was complete.

Elfie's soul felt refreshed, as if she had been reborn.

Slowly, her eyes opened, revealing bright, clear, emerald-green irises that shimmered with newfound life.
