Chapter 233: The Mortal Beyond Gods - 3
As Damian's [Blood King's Descent] unraveled, his appearance returned to his base noble vampire form: neon blue eyes, pale skin, messy black hair, and a most charming face.
While using his [One with the Blood] trait, he infused it with the energy of predation, devouring the Norse gods after breaking them down with his Energy of Destruction.
Like a tsunami of blood, his power flooded over them, consuming them completely, leaving nothing behind as they disappeared into him, feeding his ever-growing hunger for power.
He devoured fifteen gods alive, without giving them the slightest chance: Thor, Odin, Heimdall, Vidar, Baldur, Bragi, Forseti, Hermod, Ullr, Njord, and the goddesses Sif, Gefjon, Sjöfn, Idunn, and Lofn. All of them had become his prey, fuel for him to grow stronger.
Inside his spiritual space, [Predation] began to take effect.

Just as Damian completed his Integration process, he felt multiple presences appear.
It was none other than his wives, with Maria carrying the unconscious Elfie in her arms, Arlen closely behind, and a couple of goddesses Damian was already familiar with.
"This place reeks of death and destruction…" Lenora muttered as her eyes swept over the battlefield where Damian had fought the Norse gods.
The entire land was flattened, everything reduced to nothingness.
Dust and ashes filled the air, while the hundreds of kilometers surrounding the battleground were rendered uninhabitable.
The lingering aura of destruction continued to deteriorate the land even further.
"I guess I went a little overboard… Well, they were asking for it," Damian replied, gently taking Elfie into his arms.
He activated his innate unique ability, [Divine Eyes of Causality], and analyzed her condition more deeply than before.
Placing his palm on her forehead, a thick golden energy flowed from his hand into her body.
The energy spread across her figure, and in the next moment, her pale, lifeless skin regained its vitality.
Her breathing steadied, her blood circulation normalized, and even her holy energy reserves, which had been drained by the life-sucking effects of the [Law Forger], were replenished.
Her cultivation level also began to recover.
Still, she did not wake up, remaining unconscious.
"She looks fine, but why isn't she opening her eyes?" Arlen asked, worry lacing his voice.
"She's alright physically, but her soul is completely drained… exhausted to the point it resembles death," Damian explained calmly.
"Her soul needs rejuvenation."
"You mean her soul has entered the death phase?" Lilith asked, raising an eyebrow.
"What… what does that mean?" Maria asked.
"When a mortal dies, their soul loses all its energy and becomes nothing more than an empty husk. It then goes to Heaven or Hell before entering the cycle of reincarnation, where it is rejuvenated and reborn," Lilith explained.
As the ruler of half of Biblical Hell, whose greatest joy was tormenting damned souls, her knowledge of souls and reincarnation was second to none.
"Okay, so how do we cure her?" Arlen asked, his expression tense with unease.
"Well, there's only one way to save her, and that's through rebirth," Lilith replied with a casual smile, unconcerned by the gravity of her words.
"Rebirth? You want to kill her physical body and force her soul into reincarnation?" Lenora asked, shaking her head in disbelief that Lilith would suggest such a thing.
"Relax, I only said that's the only solution I know of. Master surely has an easier and safer method," Lilith shrugged.
"I do," Damian said with a faint smile. "Changing her race would instantly rejuvenate her soul. I could turn her into a vampire, werewolf, or demon." He caressed Elfie's cheek tenderly.
He wasn't worried about losing her, he was in complete control of the situation.
Elfie was no longer in danger.
She only needed her soul energy restored, and she would be fine.
To Arlen and Maria, it was as if she were simply in an unwakeable sleep.
"Please, do it and wake her up," Arlen said, frustration and nervousness coloring his voice.
"Calm down, Arlen. Your sister is fine… I just have to let her be reborn by changing her race," Damian said, rubbing the young elf's head.
As if soothed by some invisible magic, Arlen immediately calmed.
"What are you waiting for, darling?" Amelia asked.
"Elfie can't be turned into a vampire, werewolf, or demon, her nature contradicts the essence of those beings. Turning her into a High Human is an option, but it isn't the most compatible… and, for some reason, I don't want to make her one." Damian shook his head.
He then looked at his wives and Arlen. "Maria, Shiru, Ana, Yuki, take Elfie and Arlen back to Earth. I'll go look for a proper solution to this problem."
Damian glanced at Arlen. "Go with them. They'll take care of you. Please, stop worrying. Your sister is completely fine. Just think of it as her being in a very deep sleep."
"Yeah, let's go back to Earth," Shiru smiled, while Maria carefully took Elfie from Damian's arms.
A moment later, the four High Humans, along with the two elves, vanished, returning to the New Earth.
Damian then turned his attention to the goddesses before him, particularly the two from the Norse pantheon.
A smile tugged at his lips.
"Freya… you look as beautiful as ever," Damian said.
"Your Highness… I hope you have been well," Freya replied with a graceful bow.
The moment Damian addressed her, she felt butterflies swarm in her heart, and her Divine Concept of Love began to stir uncontrollably.
The others looked at her strangely, especially Frigga, for none of them had ever seen the Goddess of Love act like a maiden smitten before.
"I have been well. Why so formal?" Damian asked, unsurprised at Freya's reaction.
"I… It's the proper way," Freya stammered, though her cheeks flushed red.
"I see you've found your true love. Congratulations," Damian said softly, brushing her cheek with his fingers.
The goddess blushed furiously.
"True love?" Frigga echoed, her brows arching, while Damian's wives, many of whom had achieved godhood, exchanged surprised glances.
"Wait… now that I think about it, she's acting exactly like Avaline did when she awakened her Domain over the Divine Concept of Love," Lenora remarked.
"True Love… it's one of the most powerful Divine Concepts," Frigga added.
"It transcends time and space. Yet the gods and goddesses who rule over it can never experience it themselves. True Love manifests only when a god or goddess of Love truly falls in love…"
"So Freya has become a maiden in love… and judging by her behavior, it's with our darling," Amelia said, rolling her eyes.
"It's more than that," Frigga explained, jealousy flickering in her gaze.
"When a Goddess of Love finds her true love, her concept evolves to an entirely new level. Her love can literally transcend time and space by her will alone. There's a reason why no one dares provoke gods who hold dominion over Love."
"How do you know she found her true love in you, darling?" Lenora asked, suspicion in her voice.
"That's a long story. I'll explain later," Damian replied. He lifted Freya's chin gently before turning to the others.
"For now, we need to focus on conquering Biblical Heaven."
"Well, before that, darling, you still need to deal with the Fire and Ice Giants… and Hela," Amaya reminded him.
Damian's gaze shifted to Frigga. "What do you think? Are you okay with everything that happened today?"
"Nothing. They had it coming. I feel no sympathy for them," the Mother Goddess replied firmly. "I've already pledged my loyalty to you, my king."
"…Is there anything else?" Damian asked, sensing she was holding something back.
"Well, like Freya, I also feel… something. But mine is connected to my Divine Concept of Family," Frigga admitted softly.
"We'll talk about it later," Damian said. His eyes drifted to the ruined land around them, and he sighed.
"Before you leave, you should do something about Alfheim," Frigga said, concern etching her face.
"The elves have always been good and loyal. We cannot abandon their home like this."
"You really are a compassionate goddess. I like you," Damian smiled.
Then he raised his hand, activating his [Law].
[Law of Reversal: Activated]
At once, the devastation caused by his battle with the Norse gods began to reverse.
The destructive remnants of clashing concepts and lingering divine attacks unraveled as if they had never been cast.
[Law of Restoration: Activated]
With the battlefield cleansed of residual destruction, Damian activated the next law.
The land began to heal.
The forests regrew from ash, craters closed, and the vitality of Alfheim was restored.
In mere moments, the once-ruined realm returned to its former beauty, lush and vibrant as if the battle had never occurred.
