Chapter 587: International Rescue
"I will certainly heed Her Majesty's teachings," Blair said, placing his right hand over his heart and bowing slightly before slowly stepping back.
The White House, United States.
Everson, the Director of the American Intelligence Bureau, was woken up in the middle of the night by a message from the intelligence department.
"Everson, there's a bit of troubling news," the intelligence officer on the other end of the phone said.
"Damn it, you're disturbing my sleep in the dead of night. If this isn't an important message, I'll fire you tomorrow," Everson said angrily. He rubbed his bloodshot eyes - he had stayed up late enough the previous night, and now, just two hours later, he was rudely awakened. How could he not be irritated?
"Oh no, you can't fire me; this is very important news," the person on the line hurriedly interjected.
"Then spit it out," Everson said urgently.
"We've just learned from the aviation system that Lin Chuan has flown from Shanghai, China to the United Arab Emirates," the man said in a hurry: "Isn't this explosive news?"
"What?!" Everson exclaimed in astonishment: "Are you saying Lin Chuan has rushed to the United Arab Emirates alone?"
"Correct," the intelligence department quickly replied: "At the moment, we still don't know his exact purpose, but it's certain that it has something to do with Fire Fox."
"You'd better not tell me that damn Fire Fox has offended Lin Chuan!" Everson hurriedly said.
"Heh, God knows," the man laughed: "Because just ten hours ago, the members of Fire Fox left Shanghai, China, and all returned to their headquarters in the United Arab Emirates. So, this matter is greatly related to Fire Fox."
"Oh damn, it's going to be lively now," Everson scoffed: "Keep a close watch on this, and additionally, have the intelligence department in the Middle East focus on Lin Chuan and Fire Fox."
"Yes!" The man immediately nodded.
"And one more thing," Everson said immediately: "Notify Delta Force to head to the United Arab Emirates right away and be ready for combat. If there's a chance, eliminate Lin Chuan immediately."
"Yes!" The man nodded at once.
Everson may just be the director of the intelligence agency, but his power was immense. His authority was sufficient to command Delta Force, a top elite unit in the United States, second only to Seal Team in prowess. Everson planned to use Delta Force to deal with Lin Chuan because he was acutely aware of the threat posed by Fire Fox. With Fire Fox taking the brunt as cannon fodder, Delta Force could take advantage of the situation from behind.
A single move by Lin Chuan immediately stirred turmoil among several leading nations in the world. In secret, many countries were planning to swoop in and take advantage of the chaos.
After several hours of flight, the plane finally arrived in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.
It is the largest emirate of the United Arab Emirates, covering an area of 67,000 square kilometers, including about 200 islands, accounting for 86.68% of the total national area. With a population of over 1.5 million, it comprises about 42% of the total national population. The city's main urban areas include Abu Dhabi city, the capital; Ain, the capital of the Eastern Province; and Zayed City, the capital of the Western Province.
The Emirate of Abu Dhabi, also known as Abu Dhabi, translates to "Father of the Gazelle." It is the largest of the seven emirates that constitute the United Arab Emirates and one of the truce states with Oman.
The scenery is delightful here, featuring a tropical desert climate. As soon as he deboarded at the airport, Lin Chuan could already feel the rolling waves of heat. Abu Dhabi is the largest emirate in the United Arab Emirates and has a significant oil output, accounting for over ninety percent of the country's total production.
The airport is bustling, with various duty-free shops and a dazzling array of goods that are extremely tempting, creating an exhilarating feeling for visitors. However, Lin Chuan wasn't in the mood to care about these things. His mind was fully occupied with Fang Yuan; he had no mood to appreciate the local scenery, let alone the captivating desert landscapes unique to the region and the particularities stemming from the local nationality and religion.
Lin Chuan, carrying a simple luggage bag, hurriedly headed straight for the airport exit.
Outside the airport, a sleek Lamborghini waited at the exit. By the car front, a woman dressed in black leather clothes, a black leather mini skirt, and a black leather jacket stood out. Despite the blazing sun and scorching summer weather, it didn't affect her beauty at all. She looked pure and elegant; her long, beautiful legs crossed, accentuating their extraordinary length, with long thighs enhanced by a striking yellow aside, forming a stunning scene.
Many men stopped to watch on the side, finding Silver Fox's beauty to transcend national boundaries, almost breathtakingly beautiful.
Theoretically, there are some differences in aesthetic preferences between Eastern and Western people. What Westerners find attractive in a woman may not be appealing to Easterners, and vice versa. However, Silver Fox's beauty has surpassed these national boundaries. Virtually any man would fall head over heels for her.
"Lin Chuan, you've finally arrived," Silver Fox said excitedly, running toward Lin Chuan.
Within Fire Fox, Silver Fox always wore a face as cold as ice, rarely ever indulging in small talk or laughter. Only a select few ever saw Silver Fox crack a smile. Only in front of Lin Chuan would Silver Fox reveal such a girlish grin, showcasing a youthful charm that was otherwise hidden.
Arm in arm with Lin Chuan, Silver Fox chuckled, "I thought I got the time wrong."
"How did you know I would come?" Lin Chuan asked curiously.
"Hehe, whenever you make a move, the whole world watches," said Silver Fox, her lips twisting into a sly smile. "Do you really think your actions can be kept secret? Unless someone inside the country helps you hide, stepping out of the country so boldly, it's a miracle if you don't scare the wits out of the world's major powers."
"Is it really that serious?" Lin Chuan asked in surprise.
"What do you think?" Silver Fox snorted coldly. "Because of what you did, all our operations were canceled."
"Why?" Lin Chuan asked, puzzled.
Listing off several sharp special operation forces from different countries in one breath—such as the British Special Air Service, the American Delta Force, Germany's Ninth Counter-Terrorism Unit—Silver Fox then shifted her tone, "These units have already been secretly dispatched to the Middle East. The British Air Service and the American Delta Force have already arrived in the United Arab Emirates. Their arrival is related to you."
"No way?" Lin Chuan frowned.
"Nobody knows what you want to do," Silver Fox said with a chuckle, covering her mouth. "So, they can only secretly keep an eye on you and prevent you from disrupting their interests."
"They think too highly of me, don't they?" Lin Chuan said helplessly.
"It's not that they think too highly of you, but that you haven't realized who you are," Silver Fox laughed. "Hurry up and get in the car, I've already seen quite a few people tailing you in secret."
"Let them follow," Lin Chuan said calmly with a smile.
Having said that, Lin Chuan turned and got into the car.
After getting in, Silver Fox floored the accelerator, the car swinging its tail where it stood, and then, like an arrow leaving its bow, the vehicle shot out instantly. The tires rubbed a black mark on the ground, filling the air with a burnt smell, and soon after, the car vanished from everyone's sight.
After the car left, several covert figures emerged from the darkness at the airport.
"Eagle, the target is heading towards the city," a man in sunglasses whispered into the low-frequency communicator on his collar.
"Okay, I've arranged for someone to follow," a deep voice came from the other end of the communicator.
Several men quietly emerged from the darkness, each contacting their respective superiors. Lin Chuan's departure had set off a domino effect, not only causing chaos in the intelligence agencies of various countries but also unsettling them. Simply because no one knew what Lin Chuan was up to or what his ultimate goal was. The only thing they could do was to follow Lin Chuan, to see what exactly he was planning.
Driving through a stretch of desert, Silver Fox was taking Lin Chuan on a frenzied rush towards a super city not far off.
The architecture of the United Arab Emirates is famous for its height.
The Burj Khalifa, in particular, is renowned worldwide and nearly astonished the whole planet. The Sailboat Hotel has become the only seven-star hotel in the world. This time, Silver Fox was planning to check Lin Chuan into this seven-star hotel.
Built on an artificial island 280 meters off the beach in the Persian Gulf, connected to the mainland by a curving road, the hotel has 56 stories at a height of 321 meters, with a helipad extending from the edge of the building at its top.
The Sailboat Hotel has two hundred suites, all duplexes, with the smallest being one hundred and seventy square meters and the largest being the seven hundred and eighty-square-meter Royal Presidential Suite. The cost of staying in the smallest room is one thousand five hundred US dollars per day, while the Royal Presidential Suite costs up to twenty thousand US dollars per day, making the Arab Tower Hotel the most luxurious hotel in the world and known as the Pearl of the Persian Gulf.
Although this wasn't Lin Chuan's first visit to the Sailboat Hotel, every visit felt breathtakingly beautiful.
As Silver Fox drove to the hotel entrance, a white-robed butler hurried forward to offer valet service.
Silver Fox tossed the car keys to him; the man bowed politely and drove Silver Fox's car into the underground parking lot. Silver Fox, holding Lin Chuan's hand, walked towards the hotel. The United Arab Emirates is a religious country of Islam. However, it is one of the most tolerant places to foreign ideas and customs. On the beach, foreign Caucasian women stood on the sand in bikinis. The Emirates has a strong capacity for acceptance and tolerance for these scantily-clad western women.
