The Strongest Eriri in History

Chapter 335: Invitation Resumes

"This change is just too big. I believe your classmates will be even more surprised when they see you," Takei Hisa said with a hint of envy.

The idea that improving strength could also enhance one's appearance was something she was hearing for the first time.

Hearing Takei Hisa's remark, Nodoka simply smiled casually. Such changes were an inevitable result of her recent evolution.

She then directly addressed Takei Hisa: "By the way, Captain, I won't be participating in today's club activities."

"Oh? Do you have something planned today?" Takei Hisa asked curiously.

She was well aware of how much Nodoka loved playing mahjong. Nodoka almost never missed club activities, which were essentially opportunities to play mahjong in the clubroom.

"Yes, I'm planning to take the day off. We're having a family gathering today."

"A family gathering? Is Eriri joining you too?" Takei Hisa's gaze shifted playfully between Eriri and Nodoka.

"Of course," Nodoka replied, understanding the implication of Takei Hisa's gaze but choosing not to mind it. After all, her relationship with Eriri wasn't something she needed to hide.

"Alright, got it. Have fun today!" Takei Hisa said with a playful wink.

After finishing their conversation with Takei Hisa, Eriri used teleportation to bring herself and Nodoka directly to Tokyo.

As for Nodoka's leave from school, her father, Kei Haramura, had already taken care of it. By now, he was probably already speaking with Nodoka's homeroom teacher.

Since Kei had informed his wife, Kaho Haramura, about the family gathering the night before, Kaho had arranged to take a day off from her work at the Tokyo Prosecutor's Office.

When Eriri and Nodoka arrived at Kaho's residence in Tokyo, they found her already prepared and waiting in the living room.

Kaho was delighted when she saw Eriri. "You must be Eriri. You're so beautiful."

"Thank you, Auntie. You're very beautiful too," Eriri replied with a cheerful smile.

Kaho Haramura bore a striking resemblance to her daughter, Nodoka, with shoulder-length short hair, a similar height, and a figure that rivaled Nodoka's own. Despite being in her forties, her excellent maintenance made her look no older than her early thirties.

"Oh, not at all. I'm getting on in years," Kaho said modestly, though her beaming smile revealed how pleased she was by Eriri's compliment.

After casually chatting with Eriri about various family matters, Kaho turned her attention back to Nodoka.

From the moment she had seen her daughter, Kaho had noticed some striking changes in Nodoka's appearance. However, her curiosity had been temporarily overshadowed by Eriri's presence. Now that their conversation had ended, she couldn't help but voice her question, much like Kei Haramura and Takei Hisa before her.

Nodoka responded with the same explanation she had used before, brushing off her transformation as a natural result of her growing strength.

"Nodoka, congratulations on winning the county preliminaries and successfully advancing to the national tournament. I watched the replay of the match after work yesterday. Our Nodoka was so impressive!" Kaho Haramura said with a smile as she gently patted Nodoka Haramura's head.

"Thank you, Mom," Nodoka replied, her face lighting up with a joyful smile.

Following this, Eriri did the same thing she had done for Kei Haramura the previous day. She transmitted a strand of cosmic energy into Kaho's body as a "meeting gift."

Kaho was naturally delighted and excited to feel the transformation in her body.

After this was done, the three of them wasted no time and returned from bustling Tokyo to the peaceful countryside of Nagano.

...

From the time Eriri and Nodoka left their home to the time they returned with Kaho, it had taken less than twenty minutes in total.

Seeing the rejuvenated Kaho glowing with energy, Kei immediately understood what had happened. He looked at Eriri with gratitude.

"Oh my, dear, it's only been a few days, and you've gotten so much younger. You're practically a dashing young man again," Kaho teased as she walked over to the sofa and playfully scrutinized Kei from head to toe.

"Alright, stop messing around, or the kids will laugh at us," Kei said as he gently pulled Kaho to sit on the sofa next to him. Though his expression remained stoic, the tender smile in his eyes betrayed his happiness.

Ignoring their parents' silent display of affection, Nodoka asked directly, "Dad, Mom, where are we holding today's gathering? Are we eating out or staying at home?"

"Of course, we're eating at home! I was planning to let Eriri try some of my cooking," Kaho said enthusiastically.

Hearing this, Nodoka nodded and turned to Eriri, asking, "Eriri, what do you think?"

"I'm fine with that," Eriri replied with a casual smile.

Initially, Eriri had intended to bring out the remaining dishes from her storage space as the food for the gathering. But upon hearing Kaho's interest in cooking, she dropped the idea. Pulling out dishes made by Aoi Kujo would only dampen Kaho's enthusiasm.

"Great, it's settled then. I'm quite confident in my cooking skills," Kaho declared with pride. Then, as if an idea struck her, she added, "But it's still early. How about a game of mahjong? There are exactly four of us. What do you think?"

Nodoka and Eriri exchanged glances. While they found it odd that Kaho, who seldom played mahjong, suddenly suggested it, they saw no reason to refuse. They both nodded in agreement. "Sure, why not?"

As for Kaho's cooking, Eriri didn't hold high expectations. After all, Kaho wasn't a housewife, so no matter how skilled she was, her cooking couldn't possibly compare to a professional's.

Kei, of course, supported his wife's suggestion. Though he had once opposed Nodoka's mahjong pursuits, he did have a basic understanding of the game and even a bit of interest in it. Kaho was in a similar situation, with mahjong skills roughly on par with Kei's.

Initially, the Haramura household didn't have a mahjong table. Nodoka had always honed her skills using online mahjong. However, after her father came to terms with her supernatural abilities and stopped opposing her playing mahjong, she had specifically acquired an automatic mahjong table for occasional use.

Now, this rarely-used table finally had its moment in the spotlight.

Without using any special abilities, the four of them sat around the mahjong table in the living room and began their friendly match.

As for the result of the match, naturally, Nodoka Haramura and Eriri dominated the game, while Kei Haramura and Kaho Haramura were left as mere side characters.

After completing two half-games, it was already past 10 a.m. The thoroughly defeated couple lost all interest in continuing the game. Consequently, Kaho dragged her husband out to buy ingredients for lunch, leaving Eriri and Nodoka to tidy up the mahjong table and retreat back to their room.

The two stayed in the room until Kaho finished preparing lunch and called them out.

As Eriri had guessed, Kaho's cooking skills were average at best, producing typical home-style dishes. However, Eriri didn't show any sign of discontent and instead enjoyed the warm and homey meal with a happy smile.

By the time lunch was over, it was already past 1 p.m.

Since Kaho had taken a full day off, she didn't rush back to Tokyo and decided to spend the night in the countryside, planning to have Nodoka send her back to the Tokyo Prosecutor's Office the following morning.

Meanwhile, Eriri decided to bid farewell.

Thus, by 4 p.m. that afternoon, Eriri returned to the Saekano world.

Time flew by, and soon it was time for the Chat Group's Designated Invitation to reset.

Since learning that Kaede Honjou had drawn a Designated Invitation from the advanced lottery, group members needing one had been trying their luck in the advanced draws. However, despite each member spending thousands of attempts, none had managed to obtain another Designated Invitation.

Frustrated, they gave up on the lottery and resigned themselves to waiting for the token refresh that occurred monthly.

[Chika Fujiwara (Level 6, Stage 2): Another month has passed. The Designated Invitation in the shop has been refreshed. @Eriri (Level 8, Stage 9)]

[Kaguya Shinomiya (Level 6, Stage 1): Onee-sama, hurry and draw the token. The advanced lottery is hopeless for this.]

[Eriri (Level 8, Stage 9)]: I'm here, I'm here. As usual, let me know how many tokens you need to draw.]

[Chika Fujiwara (Level 6, Stage 2): Me, me, me, me, me! I need two more! One for my sister and one for Moeha!]

[Kaguya Shinomiya (Level 6, Stage 1): Me too, I need one for Ai.]

[Ais (Level 5, Stage 9): Count me in.]

[Gabriel (Level 6, Stage 1): Add me.]

[Arche (Level 6, Stage 2): Add me.]

[Rias Gremory (Level 6, Stage 2): Add me.]

[Lala (Level 7, Stage 2): Add me.]

[Myne (Level 4, Stage 9): Eriri, I need a Designated Invitation too.]

[Erina Nakiri (Level 5, Stage 9): Count me in. Sigh, Alice has been pestering me to join the group these past few days. It's so annoying.]

[Azusa Aizawa (Level 4, Stage 4): Um… I wanted to ask, can anyone draw for the Designated Invitation? Are there any requirements?]

[Arifureta (Level 6, Stage 4 / Group Leader): You need to have at least 1,000,000 points on hand to participate in the draw. Otherwise, even if you win, you wouldn't have enough points to buy it.]

[Azusa Aizawa (Level 4, Stage 4): I see. Then I'll pass. I don't have a million points right now. Resigned.jpg]

[Yuna (Level 3, Stage 3): Oh~ It seems the Designated Invitation is really popular. But I don't have anyone I want to invite right now, so I won't participate.]

[Adele (Level 4, Stage 2): Looks like you still have quite a few points, Yuna.]

[Yuna (Level 3, Stage 3): Not really that much. But I do have enough to buy one Invitation Token.]

Thanks to the red envelopes distributed by Eriri and Kaede Honjou earlier, Yuna had snagged more than 1,500,000 points. After upgrading her power to Level 3, Stage 3, and spending some on the lottery, she'd only used up about 200,000–300,000 points.

This was unlike Azusa and Maple, who had spent half their points upgrading to their current levels. Adding lottery expenses, their remaining points were almost depleted.

[Kaede Honjou (Level 3, Stage 5): A draw, huh? That sounds interesting.]

Seeing Kaede Honjou's sudden comment, the group members hoping to draw for the Designated Invitation grew anxious.

They were well aware of Kaede Honjou's terrifying luck, and if she participated in the draw, there might not be any left for them. However, her next message put their minds at ease.

[Kaede Honjou (Level 3, Stage 5): But I'll pass. I don't need a Designated Invitation right now.]

[Shinobu Kocho (Level 6, Stage 2): Phew, that's a relief. I thought there'd be no hope this time.]

[Shiramine Risa (Level 3, Stage 1): Maple's luck really is something.]

[Kaede Honjou (Level 3, Stage 5): Ehehe, it's not that great.]

[Shinobu Kocho (Level 6, Stage 2): Eriri, count me in.]

[Eriri (Level 8, Stage 9): Got it.]

[Fubuki (Level 6, Stage 2): I want to draw for a Designated Invitation too.]

[Ruri Gokou (Level 6, Stage 2): Of course, I'm participating! By the way, Fubuki, is this for Tatsumaki or Lily?]

[Fubuki (Level 6, Stage 2): My sister.]

[Ruri Gokou (Level 6, Stage 2): Oh? So you two have reconciled?]

[Fubuki (Level 6, Stage 2): What do you mean reconciled? My sister and I never had any conflicts. Besides, I'm stronger than her now!]

[Ruri Gokou (Level 6, Stage 2): I see. Thinking pose.jpg]

[Fubuki (Level 6, Stage 2): Oh, and one more thing. The great seer Shibabawa has died, and the Dark Matter Thieves are about to invade. Eriri, do you want to come watch the show?]

[Kaede Honjou (Level 3, Stage 5): Dark Matter Thieves? What's that?]

[Risa Shiramine (Level 3, Stage 1): Maple, you dummy. Didn't you watch the One Punch Man memory images? It's the group led by 'Boros,' the so-called 'Dominator of the Universe,' who got casually obliterated by the bald protagonist.]

[Fubuki (Level 6, Stage 2): That's right. He's pretty strong. I don't think I can beat him right now.]

[Kaede Honjou (Level 3, Stage 5): Ohhh, now I remember!]
