The Strongest Dragon in the Era of Beast Taming

Chapter 801 - 795: Blue Ring Heart Grass

Chapter 801: Chapter 795: Blue Ring Heart Grass

The faint light filtered through the water and into the cave, illuminating the seaweed that covered the walls on both sides.

At this moment, deeper among the spread of seaweed, two large beasts, one silver and one green, were confronting each other.

Boom! Rumble!

The jasper giant beast suddenly opened its teeth, capable of tearing apart the very winds and clouds, as the surrounding waters surged together at an astonishing speed to form a massive vortex, emitting a deafening roar.

Clearly, this Rainbow Jade Whale, which could be considered the Overlord of the nearby sea region, was trying to unleash its greatest strength to scare off its opponent.

Daphne’s expression did not change, as her eyes lit up.

Even in the deep sea world, where the water Arcane Force was exceedingly abundant, it could still, in an instant, gather the raging flames into a scorching aurora.

Under the desperate gaze of the Rainbow Jade Whale, the unstoppable searing aurora pierced through the vortex, vaporizing the seawater, and landed fiercely on its body.

“Roar!”

With a roaring sound, the whale’s eyes widened in terror, crying out in unwilling rage.

Afterwards, its massive body fell to the right side along the rampant shockwave, lifting up tremendous waves.

“What kind of beast is this? So strong!”

Seeing the sight of Daphne’s mighty display, the Bright Heart Turtle opened its mouth wide, its eyes filled with shock.

The Rainbow Jade Whale was after all the Class VII Overlord of this sea region, with formidable strength.

On normal days, a mere breath from it could move the vast Water Arcane Force at the bottom of the ocean, crushing any Class VI sea beast that dared to intrude upon its territory.

Yet, it had no power to fight back against the creature from the outside realm!

If it could recognize this beast as its leader, could it not have the chance to become the Overlord of all beasts beneath one, in this sea region!

Thinking of this boundless future, the green turtle could not help but feel a pang of emotion, as the memories of past bullying flooded back to it.

Without bitterness, where would sweetness come from?

This was perhaps what the human books meant by “after hardship comes the reward”!

While the Bright Heart Turtle was looking up sighing, David Jones’s head was bowed as he sensed his own condition.

“It’s a pity, without Daphne’s power replenishment, just the energy spent killing four Class VI Kings and one Class VII Overlord had nearly drained the Arcane Force within this avatar to its limit,” David Jones revealed a hint of regret in his eyes.

Logically, as a growable Class VII skill, the Destiny Avatar should have been able to freely refine the vast Arcane Force pervasive in the heavens and the earth without needing Daphne’s original form to charge it, thereby sustaining its existence.

Unfortunately, David Jones was currently at the bottom of the deep sea, where the power of Water was overwhelmingly dominant.

The Water Arcane Force even overpowered all other Type Arcane Forces, including Space, to the point that Daphne’s avatar, after many fierce battles, felt a sense of weakness as if its output exceeded its input.

“This avatar can only go through one more battle at most!” David Jones thought to himself.

“Meow!” (Treasure, treasure!)

Daphne said energetically.

This was the first time it had ever gone out to adventure and treasure hunt alone with David Jones since its birth, and it cherished this opportunity.

Of course, cherishing this didn’t mean that Daphne had any complaints about its companions.

It still liked its bossy big sister, as well as the Gluttonous Beast, the steady Loona, the gentle Lolo, and the simple-minded Goldy.

Under Daphne’s urging, David Jones turned and looked towards a crack on the nearby seafloor, where a vibrant mesona was growing.

Its leaves resembled tongues, emitting a faint blue light, and the fruits were crystal clear, looking like the pure hearts of the ocean—indeed, it was the Level VII Epic resource “Blue Ring Heart Grass.”

This elixir was rare and had extraordinary effects. When consumed by Water beasts, it could purify impurities in their bloodlines, greatly reducing the danger when igniting their bloodline flames, thus making their path to future breakthroughs smoother.

But more than that, David Jones was more interested in the Blue Ring Heart Grass’s miraculous effect of enhancing a Trainer’s Psychic Spirit Realm and spiritual strength.

Piling up all the elixirs he had scavenged, David Jones turned his head to look at the Bright Heart Turtle, which was grinning foolishly with its head in the clouds.

After a series of questions and a treasure hunt along the way, David Jones had a rough idea.

This green turtle actually had no dragon palace key on it at all!

Moreover, through the distribution of Beasts in the nearby sea, he could confirm something else.

That was the high probability that a formidable being was lurking in the dark, guarding the vicinity of the West Sea Dragon Palace, and the small probability of a mechanism trap existing that could kill an Emperor Beast.

“Stop grinning like an idiot!” David Jones slapped the turtle shell of the Bright Heart Turtle.

“Just answer me, do you want to break through to Level VII and become the Overlord of this sea area?”

Upon hearing this, the Bright Heart Turtle immediately widened its eyes and stretched its neck to the limit to scrutinize David Jones, as if trying to see if the latter was joking.

Gazing into those wise turtle eyes, David Jones took out the fruits of his morning’s sweep, his tone dripping with temptation.

“You should know, if you could digest these treasures, Class VII wouldn’t be a dream for you.”

The Bright Heart Turtle nodded up and down, giving the Blue Ring Heart Grass glances from the corner of its eye from time to time.

Clearly, this greedy turtle also had its eyes on the mesona that David Jones had set aside; it just didn’t dare to speak up, for fear of being smacked dead with one paw.

“Forget about the Blue Ring Heart Grass. As long as you go to the dragon palace gate and press down on the pearl of the gate, all of this will be yours!” David Jones promised, looking directly at the Bright Heart Turtle.

Surprisingly, upon hearing David Jones’s words, the previously jittery and excited Bright Heart Turtle instantly calmed down.

It slowly moved its flippers on the water surface in the opposite direction, each step betraying a sense of fear and resistance.

Seeing this, David Jones immediately felt confident in his deductions.

His previous words were just a test to reconfirm the danger of the dragon palace gate.

In fact, there were plenty of Beasts in this sea area; he didn’t specifically need the Bright Heart Turtle to scout the way.

His guess was correct. There were indeed many dangers associated with the West Sea Dragon Palace; otherwise, the rare pearls leading to the palace would have already been taken by sea Beasts, and the palace would have had a new owner long ago!

With that thought, David Jones glanced at the Bright Heart Turtle, showing no intention to continue speaking, and turned to walk away with the Pet Resources in hand.

“Wait! Wait!” The Bright Heart Turtle panicked, calling out twice.

David Jones stopped in his tracks, his gaze returning to the turtle.

“Could you throw in a little extra?” The Bright Heart Turtle gazed intently at the Blue Ring Heart Grass, proposing a negotiation.

David Jones couldn’t be bothered with it.

If you want to do it, do it; if not, get lost.

In the deep-sea world, two-legged clams are hard to find, but four-legged sea turtles are everywhere!

The Bright Heart Turtle heaved a disappointed sigh.

The next second, it blocked David Jones’s path and said respectfully, “Ah, let me do it. You just rest.”

I hope the old ancestor didn’t deceive me!

Glancing at David Jones and then towards the majestic West Sea Dragon Palace in the distance, the Bright Heart Turtle clenched its teeth and its hind flippers gave a powerful push.

Then it curled up inside its shell, turning into a green streak rushing up the sea stream passage that led to the palace gate.

Under David Jones’s watchful eye, the green streak’s speed soared with the sea current, ultimately slamming into the dragon palace gate with a muffled thud.

Thank goodness, I’m still alive; that scared the hell out of me!

The Bright Heart Turtle carefully stuck out its head and then heaved a sigh of relief.
