The Speedrun Manual of Miss Witch

Chapter 267

Although the dinner started a little awkwardly, after William joined in the middle, the second half went rather smoothly.

If William hadn't come, the entire dinner would have felt like an apology session hosted by Charles for Ciel, explaining why he only took Avena and didn't take Ciel as well.

He must have known something… Charles had never been so polite to Ciel before.

She would have to find a private time to talk to Charles again. Although she wouldn't go so far as to erase Charles's memory, she would have to warn him what he could and could not say.

After the dinner ended, Charles used the excuse of needing to go to the Parliament Building and left with William, leaving Avena and Ciel at home. It seemed he was creating an opportunity for them to be alone.

However, in the end, after leaving a note, Avena returned to Ciel's villa with Ciel.

Because of the previous incident, Avena had not had time to sort out her own house at all. Coupled with Ciel's "disappearance," Avena, who had been living at the Roswell family mansion, had even less time to deal with the house. As a result, that large mansion had still not been tidied up to the point where it could be moved into.

In the carriage, the corners of Avena's mouth had been subtly upturned the entire time, never changing.

Ciel also noticed this. She naturally knew what Avena was feeling smug about.

Avena used Ciel's bathroom to take a shower. But by the time Ciel finished showering and came out herself, she saw Avena still lying on the bed, wearing a thin nightgown, her slender legs slightly bent upwards, a pair of perfectly arched jade feet crossed together, gently swaying.

Avena just kept looking at Ciel like that. It seemed that ever since dinner, she had been waiting for Ciel to ask her.

"Ah…"

Ciel sighed helplessly. Indulging Avena, she asked, "What is it that makes you so happy?"

Avena propped herself up on her elbows on the mattress, resting her chin in her hands. She slightly tilted her chin up and said with a hint of smugness, "Nothing, Lady Roswell. I just thought of some happy things."

Ciel: "…"

I knew it…

The resolution of major issues, the partial reconciliation with her father, and the events of the dinner… These things combined seemed to have greatly elevated Avena's mood.

And the tangible manifestation of her elevated mood was… she seemed to be getting a little carried away again.

Ciel climbed onto the bed and crawled towards Avena. Avena seemed unaware of what was happening, just smiling at Ciel.

Not until Ciel directly grabbed both of her hands with one hand, feeling the force in Ciel's hand, did Avena realize something was wrong. She blinked at Ciel before her, her expression a little innocent.

"What's wrong, Lady Roswell?"

At this moment, Avena was completely unaware of the impending danger.

Ciel held Avena's wrists with her left hand and slowly raised her left arm. Avena was forced to raise her hands high, as if she were tied in front of Ciel.

Only after being held in this position did Avena seem to realize something was happening. After struggling a little and finding that she couldn't break free at all, she finally softened a little and said:

"Alright… Indeed, that title is a bit too early. Let's wait a while longer…"

A while longer?

Ciel still didn't speak, maintaining the smile on her face. She slowly reached to the side of the bed and picked up the leather belt she had thrown beside the bed when she changed clothes earlier.

The moment she saw the belt, Avena panicked a little. She looked at Ciel in front of her. She changed her kneeling posture to a normal sitting posture, pointing her feet towards Ciel. She said warily, "You… what are you trying to do? Ciel? Ciel?!"

Each call of "Ciel" seemed to be trying to awaken Ciel's "conscience."

Avena's feet were aimed at Ciel. If Ciel made any excessive moves, she would immediately push Ciel away with her feet.

However, this seemed to be no threat to Ciel at all.

She moved towards Avena on the bed with her knees, belt in hand, slowly inching closer. Soon, Avena's legs, which were originally used for defense, were "breached" and completely lost their original function, becoming only able to wrap around Ciel's waist.

Ciel, on the other hand, reached out with the hand holding the belt and wrapped the slender belt around Avena's hands, securing her hands firmly.

"Ciel…"

Avena, who had missed the best time to defend due to hesitation, finally lost her momentum after feeling her hands were tied. She said weakly, "I was just joking…"

"Joking?"

Ciel looked at Avena with a half-smile and said softly, "Are you only saying that now?"

"It's too late…"

"Ciel… mhm…"

Avena, with her hands tied, could no longer struggle like before. Before she could even say her words of surrender, Ciel's lips covered hers.

That night, Avena was kissed on almost every inch of her skin, practically unable to resist.

But she didn't dare make too much noise, for fear of being discovered by the maids outside. She could only tightly purse her lips, tears of humiliation welling up in her eyes, vowing to "get revenge" someday…

The next day, Ciel's room.

Ciel lay in bed. Not until a ray of sunlight, coming through a gap in the curtains, shone on Ciel's face did she slowly open her eyes.

She hadn't slept this relaxed in a long time. It felt as if her soul had been purified.

Avena was indeed a transcendent on the "Listener" path. She was truly skilled at treating the mind… no matter what method of "treatment" was used.

Ciel subconsciously wanted to open the system interface, but only a translucent sign with the words "Upgrading" popped up before her.

The system upgrade didn't seem to be finished yet… The system also didn't give Ciel an exact date, which gave Ciel a sense of inexplicable anxiety.

The rustling sound of clothes being put on nearby interrupted Ciel's thoughts. She slowly propped herself up and saw Avena getting dressed by the wardrobe.

A silk scarf was wrapped several times around her neck, covering the "hickeys" on her neck. On her hands, she wore long black silk gloves with dark purple lace, covering the marks that were still subtly aching on her wrists.

Seemingly noticing the commotion from Ciel's side, Avena quickly covered her chest and turned around, glaring fiercely at Ciel.

"Good morning."

Ciel smiled and greeted the startled kitten.

"Hmph…"

Avena just snorted coldly and turned back to continue getting dressed.

Ciel's wardrobe basically contained clothes given by Avena, so there was no issue with them not fitting.

"You were fine last night, why are you unhappy now…?"

Ciel said with a smile, looking at Avena's back.

Ciel's feigned ignorance made Avena recall the "humiliation" of last night. She turned back to glare at Ciel again, took a deep breath, slightly tilted her chin up, and said coldly, "You haven't drunk the potion yet. You're just an ordinary person… I was just trying not to hurt you…"

"When you officially become a transcendent, I won't go easy on you anymore, Ciel."

Ciel: "Huh???"

Her mouth was quite soft last night, how did it get so stubborn again after one night?

Refusing to admit defeat, being unyielding, is that it?

Who knows how long it will take to "train" her.

Avena seemed to completely believe her own imagined scenario of "I'm going easy on Ciel." Her tone had even started to regain its confidence.

Just as Ciel was pulling back the covers, she felt a slight pain in her left shoulder.
