The Sims System in Multiverse

Chapter 358: Video Meeting

"Unfortunately, the groom's busy drawing." Utaha responded while rolling her eyes.

Hearing this, everyone immediately gathered behind Homura and Mashiro, curious to see what they were drawing.

Mashiro was sketching Rin's shy expression when she walked down the stairs, but Homura?

"Is this supposed to be a bride with a whole group of bridesmaids?!"

Elf couldn't help but comment in surprise.

On Homura's drawing, there were nine girls with the brightest, most genuine smiles, their heads close together as they huddled happily.

However, the one in the center was wearing a wedding dress, which did give off the impression that Elf had mentioned.

"If it's Homura-kun... shouldn't all the girls in the drawing be brides?" Utaha remarked.

At this, none of the girls argued since they found nothing wrong with the statement.

Seeing that Homura and Mashiro were still busy drawing, they moved aside to chat.

"Seeing Rin like this... I feel like Homura's really a total freak..." Nico remarked while glancing at Rin.

"Well, Homura-kun's always been different from ordinary people..." Kotori sighed in wonder. "Actually, if we made the dress according to Homura-kun's drawing, it probably wouldn't look out of place at all, right?"

"But this is still Kotori-chan's design, nyaa~! Without your design, Homura-kun wouldn't have been able to draw this either!" Rin protested.

"Even though they look exactly the same..." Nozomi looked at the photo on Homura's camera. "I think there are still some differences."

Pointing at the camera, she explained to the others.

"Look, this version of Rin-chan feels more real to us. It's the Rin-chan we're familiar with—every gesture, every shy smile, all the mannerisms of a girl."

"While the drawing I made gives off a sense of sacredness, is that what you mean?" Homura's voice cut into their conversation.

"Yeah, that's exactly it." Nozomi nodded.

"You did that on purpose, didn't you?" Eriri raised an eyebrow and glanced at Homura. "If you wanted to draw everyone's different expressions, you could do it without even thinking about it."

"You're that sure?" Homura also raised an eyebrow.

"With how well you know everyone, isn't that obvious?" Eriri shrugged.

"Just like that massive drawing Homura-kun did of all of us..." Eli nodded thoughtfully. "Our smiles in that drawing are straight from the heart. We rarely show expressions like that."

"But isn't that exactly what's here?" Homura shook his head, then handed over the drawing he just finished.

Seeing the drawing, Eli was stunned for a moment before she noticed the expressions on the faces in it—the joy practically overflowed from it.

No doubt, it was a drawing that could truly touch people's hearts!

"Done..." Mashiro walked over with her own drawing.

Seeing Mashiro's drawing, Elf sighed.

"You know, Mashiro's drawings are always so beautiful... Unlike Homura's completely realistic style, Mashiro added some atmosphere around Rin. See this light and shadow effect? It makes it look more like a wedding hall."

"Amazing..." Hanayo looked at one drawing, then the other, and finally at Rin herself. "They're all adorable Rin-chan!"

"Kayo-chin..." Rin felt a bit embarrassed by Hanayo's reaction. "I'm gonna go change now, nyaa~!"

"Ahh!" Hanayo reached out in the direction Rin left as if trying to grab her fading figure. "She left... She was so cute. She should've worn it a little longer..."

"Good thing Mugi's not here... Who knows how she'd react..." Homura muttered softly.

"Hm? Homura, what did you say?" Eriri turned and asked.

"Secret..." Homura shook his head.

Even though Tsumugi didn't mind others knowing, there was no way to explain how he found out.

"Tch, so secretive..." Eriri whispered while frowning.

Was that something he couldn't talk about again?

Nonetheless, even though she was curious, she decided to let it go. If it was something he could share, Homura wouldn't hide it from her anyway.

Putting the thought aside, Eriri went back to chatting with everyone.

Thursday, After School.

Once again, every member of Another Dimension gathered at the Minamiya residence.

At this moment, in the activity room, Homura and the others were having a video meeting with Kousaka Akane.

"Kousaka-san, what do you think about this decision?"

On one side of a long table, Homura and the girls who showed up on camera waited for Akane's response.

Akane on the screen paused for a moment before responding.

"We'll be responsible for the keyframes related to daily scenes, and you'll handle the action scenes, right, Minamiya-sensei? If that's the case, I can accept that."

"Of course, but the quality gotta be up to standard… I trust the number one circle in the doujin world won't have any issues, right?" Homura asked back.

"No worries, Minamiya-sensei. I guarantee the quality will be on par with Izumi's work. I'll personally review everything before handing it over to you for final approval." Akane said with confidence.

Hearing this, Izumi, who was sitting nearby, tensed up.

Izumi was, after all, a little competitive, so she would probably push herself even harder after hearing Akane's words.

Given this, maybe Akane said that on purpose?

"In that case, we'll count on you for that, Kousaka-san." Homura agreed without hesitation, as there was no room for pleasantries right now.

"Work is work, right?" Akane shrugged.

"Yeah..." Homura nodded. "Oh, by the way, we'll occasionally release some drafts and progress updates. You can decide how to handle it on your end. A little bit of exposure wouldn't hurt. Feel free to handle it as you see fit."

"We're pretty good at that, actually. Even if you hadn't mentioned it, I was planning to bring it up." Akane nodded.

"Yeah, leaking a few key visuals here and there is fine." Homura smiled slightly. "Everyone's familiar with the game already. Any issues with the animation are the studio's problem. We just gotta make sure we stay on track with the keyframes."

Meanwhile, Elf yawned, feeling a bit bored watching Homura and Akane discuss business over the video call. Fortunately for her, the meeting didn't last long, as before long, Homura finally ended the call.

"Alright, let's get to work." Homura stood up and turned to the girls. "I won't bother with any motivational speeches since we all want Fate to be the best it can be, right?"

"Yeah... even though this is my first time drawing keyframes for an anime, I'm confident I can pull this off!" Eriri's eyes sparkled with determination.

From this moment on, no one could say she was just a doujin artist anymore. Calling her a top-tier key animator wouldn't be an exaggeration at all!

"Um, let's start." Mashiro nodded, keeping it short and simple.

Homura nodded and then looked at the youngest two artists in Another Dimension—Sagiri and Izumi.

"What about you two? Got anything to say?" Homura asked with a smile.

"Nope, nothing to say, Nii-san." Sagiri replied while calmly shaking her head.

Izumi, on the other hand, thought for a moment, then put on a serious face before giving herself a little pep talk.

"I'll do my best!"

Hearing their responses, Homura nodded before speaking up.

"By the way, I think you all understand why I handed the daily scenes over to Kousaka Akane and her circle."

Not waiting for the girls to reply, Homura continued.

"It's simply because, when it comes to action scenes... I'm the most qualified."

Hearing Homura's serious and confident statement, the girls knew he was absolutely right about that.

"So, to make sure we and the fans get to enjoy the best possible anime, make sure to follow my vision and take the action scenes to the absolute limit!"

And so, with Homura's statement, the task of creating the first anime of Another Dimension finally began.
