Chapter 355: Easing Fatigue
Walking down the road, Homura suddenly recalled something.
"Make sure you all get plenty of rest lately. Honestly, I'm considering not letting y'all voice the anime."
As soon as he finished speaking, Honoka exploded.
"What?! No way! We all did the voices for the game! If we change the cast for the anime, it'll sound so weird to the fans!"
Hearing this, Homura chuckled bitterly.
"I know, but everything's piling up at once. You've gotta learn how to do voice acting professionally, get ready for the school festival early next month, and then right after summer break starts, you've got that seven-day Love Live concert... It's just too much and too exhausting for you."
"If that's the case, then aren't you even more exhausted than we are, Homura-kun?" Umi shook her head.
"Yeah, we've all seen how much you're doing. You've got way more on your plate than we do." Kotori nodded in agreement.
"It's different." Homura shook his head. "I can handle all this pressure because I'm pretty tough, so for me, it's not that stressful, and I don't feel tired either. But you all... it's not the same. It's not just about fatigue to your bodies, but also your minds. If it keeps piling up, it could explode at any moment."
"No worries! We've got your 'Love Letter' to help us sleep well! As long as we sleep well, nothing's gonna pile up!" Honoka declared confidently.
Everyone: "..."
What did they just hear?
"Hold on, Honoka, that might be great for relaxing your mind, but it doesn't do much for your body." Homura disagreed with her idea.
'What the... the conversation's still going?' Maki looked speechless. "Honoka, can you say it properly? It's that song called 'Luv Letter', right? Seriously, the way you said it sounded super misleading!"
"Ehh, whatever." Honoka didn't seem to care at all. "But even if we don't voice the anime, we'd just use that time to practice anyway. It's not like it'd make a difference."
Everyone: "..."
"Oh, really? Didn't you promise you wouldn't find any extra time to practice?" Homura questioned with narrowed eyes.
Honoka: "..."
Homura truly hit the mark.
Everyone knew that not pushing herself wasn't Honoka's style at all.
At first, when Honoka showed interest in a lot of things, she usually gave up on them pretty quickly. Yet becoming an idol was one of the rare things she never gave up on and even threw herself into completely.
For this reason, she took being an idol more seriously than anything else since no matter how tough or tiring it got, she kept going.
However, that was all about willpower since her body couldn't just keep up just because she wanted it to.
Maki looked at Homura and Honoka, letting out a sigh.
"Seriously, that's so like you, Honoka... Even though Eli talked to you about this back at the hot spring villa."
"Oh yeah... I'm sorry..." Honoka scratched her head sheepishly. "But I didn't feel like I was pushing myself. I actually had fun during practice..."
"I think that's the same for everyone, right?" Nozomi chuckled. "If it wasn't fun, there's no way we could keep it up."
"Now that you mention it, we're all pretty much the same..." Nico glanced at everyone. "I'm sure we all did some practice on our own to some extent. Maybe, the only ones who didn't feel any physical strain were Umi and Rin?"
"Um..." Kotori nodded in agreement. "Rin-chan's always been a natural when it comes to sports, and her stamina's the best among us. Umi-chan also trains regularly, unlike us who've only been doing this fitness training for two months and are still half-baked."
"So, if anyone's body can't handle it... it'll be one of us..." Hanayo murmured softly.
Seeing them like this, Eli finally spoke up.
"Homura-kun's absolutely right. We're really glad he's looking out for us but that's not a reason for us to give up. So, since we won't stop studying or practicing, the only thing we can do is manage our physical conditions properly!"
Seeing their determined expressions, Homura could tell they had made up their minds.
"Rin, what do you think?" Homura asked.
"Nyaa? What does Rin think?" Rin blinked, then smiled. "I don't really have any thoughts about it, but I'm sure Homura-kun will figure something out, right?"
"Uhh..." Homura paused before smiling slightly. "How are you so sure?"
"Hmm... I don't know, nyaa~! I just feel that way!" Rin said confidently.
Hearing this, the girls looked at Rin with strange expressions.
Was this the power of love? Or maybe a girl's intuition?
However, since they were all girls, the first option seemed more likely.
"Alright, I get it." Homura continued. "My song definitely helps with mental relaxation, so we don't need to worry too much about that. Our main concern now is your physical condition."
At this, the girls nodded silently.
It seemed like Homura had figured out a way to protect their bodies.
"For your physical condition, there are three important problems—easing fatigue, getting the right nutrients, and having a good workout routine. But with me, the master of nutrition, you don't need to worry about nutrients."
In all honesty, that sounded pretty humble coming from Homura since they were well aware that his knowledge of nutrition was on a whole other level compared to most so-called experts.
However, no matter how he put it, it somehow came off as kind of smug.
"As for the workout routines, that's my specialty too. I already came up with a training plan just for you girls that'll maximize your results while minimizing the risk of injury."
Hearing this, the girls had to admit that they couldn't think of anyone who could compare to Homura in these two areas.
However, didn't this mean two out of three problems were solved?
"Just those two's enough, right? If we build up our stamina through training, coupled with good nutrients, we won't get tired so easily, so easing fatigue is unnecessary." Nico nodded.
"Actually... easing fatigue is the easiest part for me." Homura scratched his head.
It couldn't be helped.
Nutrition needed all kinds of ingredients, and he had to think through the workout routines before teaching them step by step, but when it came to easing fatigue, all he had to do was get hands-on.
"And then?" Nozomi asked with a smile. "You saved this one for last on purpose, right? Is there something special about it?"
"Not really." Homura shook his head. "It's just a pretty common, ordinary method y'all know of... massage."
As soon as the girls heard this, a certain image popped into their heads, and whatever they imagined clearly made an impact.
Except for Nozomi, who had a meaningful smile, Honoka and the others blushed slightly.
