The Sims: I Open the Immortal Path for All Beings

Chapter 2164–2165: Thirty-Six Heavenly Gang Techniques, Righteous Shadowless (2)

The opponent is skilled with formations, so it's best to find a way to avoid being entangled in them and directly escape.

"Escape and reshape the battlefield; use your advantages against the enemy's weaknesses. This is the best choice," the demonic cultivator snorted coldly.

Breaking the formation may be difficult, but for a True Immortal, escaping isn't hard; it's certainly much easier than finding a method to isolate the formation.

"This is indeed a good method: escape and seek another opportunity," a strong cultivator immediately acknowledged.

The idea of jumping out of the situation received approval from many strong cultivators.

These True Immortals felt this idea was good; even if they couldn't break the formation, being able to escape would be considered a good result.

Every strong cultivator has their own strengths and weaknesses. Relatively speaking, even a Taoist Monarch isn't omnipotent or perfect in every aspect, let alone these True Immortals.

There's absolutely no need to confront the opponent's strengths with your weaknesses stubbornly; doing so is the most unwise approach.

"Righteous Shadowless!" some strong cultivator exclaimed in surprise.

Everyone, hearing this, showed surprise in their eyes, focusing on the battlefield and watching the two people within the formation.

The Eight Trigrams Divine Array, with its terrifying power in the Qian, Kun, Zhen, Dui, Kan, Li, Gen, and Xun formations, is dreadful even for True Immortals.

Hence, for True Immortals, once trapped inside a formation, they would face continuous attacks, making it hard to break the formation.

Some strong cultivators, apart from considering how to break the formation, have to allocate some energy to resist the continuous disturbance attacks from the formation, which might not be frightening but is indeed annoying.

If one can't concentrate their energy, then wanting to solve the formation will, invisibly, add another layer of difficulty.

Thus, many are curious about how the Great Instructor will break the formation, as even though the constant attacks won't significantly impact him, they will continuously interrupt his thoughts.

Righteous Shadowless, one of the Thirty-Six Heavenly Techniques.

This Divine Ability possesses no offensive power but is the top-tier defense Divine Ability; once activated, the person enters a virtual state, therefore becoming shadowless and formless, making all attacks ineffective.

No one expected the Great Instructor to possess such a Divine Ability known even amongst many Taoist School strong cultivators; not everyone is qualified to grasp it.

This is a front-ranking Divine Ability among the Thirty-Six Heavenly Techniques, and unless restrained by a few specific Divine Abilities, its pure defensive capabilities can be called Supreme Divine Power.

"With Righteous Shadowless in hand, one can be unbeaten; no wonder the young one is so confident," a Taoist School strong cultivator lamented.

Among the Realms of Heavenly Seas, countless Divine Abilities are generally divided into ordinary Divine Abilities, top-tier Divine Powers, and Supreme Divine Powers.

However, like the Taoist School's Thirty-Six Heavenly Techniques, though categorized as top-tier Divine Powers, some of their unique functions nearly match Supreme Divine Powers; thus, they are called Great Divine Powers.

Such Great Divine Powers are very rare and aren't easily taught, and for many strong cultivators, even if from top-tier immortal sects, gaining the fortune to practice them isn't guaranteed.

One must know these Divine Abilities are rare themselves, and coupled with needing to suit the cultivator's own cultivation, they become even more precious; even obtaining an incomplete inheritance of these Great Divine Powers would be a considerable fortune for some strong cultivators.

The Taoist School elder speaking, though also a True Immortal in the Sixth Layer Heaven, hasn't truly mastered any Great Divine Ability; at most, he has an incomplete Divine Ability that significantly enhances his combat power.

"Hehe, don't flatter yourself and call others juniors. Apart from being younger and having fewer cultivation years than you, the other side is in no way inferior to you, especially with Righteous Shadowless in hand, almost unbeatable," some strong cultivator sneered aside, clearly having a grudge against the previous True Immortal.

"In the Taoist School, the order of seniority is well-established, unlike your demonic path which disregards elders, evaluating ranks solely by strength, disrupting ethics, to the point of shamelessness," upon hearing the old rival's mockery, the Taoist School True Immortal retorted directly.

Within the Taoist School, once someone's elder status is established, even surpassing them in realm won't change that status, as you can't say you were a disciple before becoming a True Immortal and then a master after.

Conversely, within the demonic path, many sects practice selective breeding without regard to seniority; strength is everything, and strong ones can claim to be ancestors.

This style of the demonic path is precisely why some Righteous Path cultivators dislike them.

"Hehe, several ancestors ascended this way too; if you're unhappy, tell those ancestors directly, see if they acknowledge you," the demonic path's True Immortal retorted without backing down, trying to redirect the conflict.

The Taoist School's True Immortal wanted to mock them as being crooked, yet ultimately held back.

The ancestors mentioned by the opponent are Taoist Monarch strong cultivators in the demonic path; even though they won't kill him for disrespecting them, they would certainly give him a hard time.

If unnecessary, no one wants to suffer needlessly, so sometimes it's better to be mindful than strong-headed.

The other strong cultivators stayed completely indifferent to the quarrel between these two, and no one got involved.

To many True Immortals, they exist within a vast circle, continuously adding new faces, yet the elite small circle remains the same people.

Conflicts and disagreements among these people are well known; such quarrels and even fights occur often and are rather common.

Even in real altercations, they generally restrain themselves, never breaking their relationship to face each other with life and death consequences.

Ultimately, at their level, interests are the most important; while lower-level cultivators maintain identity and appearances, amongst these individuals, they all hold each other's dark histories.

Unless propelled by interests or the Great Tao, fighting to death over trivial matters is pointless and not worth the effort.

These True Immortals found focusing on the Great Instructor's method of breaking the formation more worthwhile than listening to the two's squabble.

Even when strong cultivators suggested that, when facing Dayan True Monarch, escaping the Great Formation safely is all that's needed; breaking the formation oneself is unnecessary.

And with the Great Instructor's mastery of Righteous Shadowless Divine Power, the formation is powerless against him, making his position undefeated.

"Righteous Shadowless, a Great Divine Power, truly envying those born in top-tier immortal sect factions!" lamented a strong cultivator from an independent background.

Though having achieved the True Immortal Sixth Layer Heaven, even if originally independent and now surrounded by various factions forming a power centered on oneself.

Yet even so, compared to those from top-tier immortal sects, they still deeply envy, as such Great Divine Powers are practically unattainable to them.

"Hehe, top-tier immortal sects are also plagued with wolves and little meat; not every top-tier immortal sect has such resources," sneered a strong cultivator from a top-tier immortal sect, his tone filled with complexity.

Though indeed from top-tier immortal sects, they have overwhelming advantages over independents, yet even top-tier immortal sects themselves are divided into tiers, with massive gaps between them.

Sometimes this gap is larger than the difference between ordinary sects and top-tier immortal sects.
