The Second Chance of Reincarnator

Chapter 141: Madness

Crunch! Crunch! Crunch!

"Shoveling, shoveling, shoveling…"

With shovel in hand, Aren dug through the deep soil, made a grave big enough for two, and then kicked the servant's and Honor's corpses into the hole.

"Phew!"

He wiped the sweat off his forehead, stabbed the shovel into the ground, and then touched the Human Flesh Mask.

After altering his appearance, he started to look like swampy-haired Honor.

'I couldn't get any answers from Honor, so I will beat those answers out of Jupiter himself. I've already thought of the consequences of doing this, but I must.

'This goes now deeper than just rescuing Ashley. If Jupiter is really working with Rav'akari, and I bring that to the attention of the Guild, it will definitely help me build some connections.'

Aren said, and then quickly covered the grave with the dug-up dirt. When he finished filling up the hole, he patted the ground to make it look undisturbed.

After that, he tossed the shovel aside and stepped through the stone gateway to return back to the Whitesky.

"…Argh!"

In the master bedroom, Jupiter looked to the bedside table and took out a drinking glass that looked like a wine glass with its stem and base.

When he tried taking a sip of the drink, he noticed that it was empty and angrily tossed the cup aside.

"Servants! Servants! Bring me some crimson tea, right at this instance!"

However, no matter how loud he shouted, no one seemed to respond.

"You… useless…"

In pain, he sat up and looked to the corner of the room. His wheelchair was there. A thought of just crawling there and getting the tea himself crossed his mind.

In that moment, the door opened, and with the matted hair falling over his forehead, 'Honor' entered the room with a cold gaze in his eyes.

"Y-You? Why are you not in your shadow form… More importantly, did you find the possible intruder?"

Jupiter asked with a frown.

This was one of the few times that he had actually seen Honor in his human form, as he preferred to stay hidden.

"…There was no one there. The servant's mind was playing tricks on her. However, I did some further thinking, and I don't need payment after all.

"I will just take my leave right now."

Aren said.

"…Is that so? I must say, you are full of surprises. You should rethink this, as this will be a door of opening to success for you."

Jupiter said, clear signs of pain in his tone.

"…I do have some questions, though. Who is the Rav'akari that you are working with?"

Aren asked.

"Huh? You already know that…"

Jupiter's eyes narrowed. He wasn't a fool.

While his mind had slightly deteriorated because of his current age and condition, he used to be known as a brilliant man.

In his past, he would've already seen the strangeness in current Honor, such as his mannerisms of speech, body language, and way of carrying himself.

This wasn't a real Honor!

"Who are you?"

Jupiter asked angrily.

Aren jumped at him, put his hand on Jupiter's throat, and pushed him down to the mattress with a grip that could crush his windpipe if he wanted to.

"You better start answering now."

He said coldly.

"F-Fuck you!"

Jupiter screamed.

Aren raised his right hand, moved it over his left shoulder, and then backhanded Jupiter across his scarred, burned face.

Smack!

"Ugh!"

Jupiter's head snapped to the side, but Aren immediately pulled it back to stare straight at him.

"I will not hesitate to kill you. I promise you that."

"Haha, kill me then…"

Jupiter said mockingly with a grin.

It was like he was daring him to do so, but no matter what, he wasn't going to say anything.

"…You joined hands with Rav'akari for a reason. Maybe they convinced you that they can cure your destroyed self, hmm?

"You put way too much faith in them. They can read your memories and use them against you. They know how much pain you're in, and you would do anything to get rid of that pain."

Aren said.

"…Hahaha, you have no idea, little brat. I was already going to take an early trip to the grave to get rid of this pain, but then I met with him… For just a moment, he WAS able to fully heal me.

"I was able to walk! I was not in pain anymore! I had also become younger!"

Jupiter said, breathing roughly.

That five minutes of being fully healed was the greatest moment of his life. It was amazing, euphoric, and nothing short of a miracle.

"Yet, here you still are, in pain."

Aren said.

"…He told me that if I brought him enough of the tree ornaments, he would completely heal me. This is what the Hunt is for… To satisfy him."

Jupiter said with a chuckle.

"Who is this him? Who is it!"

Aren asked, pulled Jupiter up from the mattress, and then slammed him harshly back down.

"Hahahaha!"

Jupiter laughed.

"What would you do with that information? You'll go tell the Guild? They cannot do anything against him.

"When this Hunt is over, we will join him in his forest, and he will keep us in his protection. You Earthlings cannot touch us, haha!"

He laughed madly, like he was on the verge of losing his mind.

"You cannot trust Rav'akari, you stupid son of a bitch. They will just nail you into a tree, and your daughter, Athena, will become their personal breeding whore!"

Aren screamed, trying to slap some sense into him.

"How hard is that to understand? You will ruin your own family. Now say that fucking name, you stupid idiot!"

"…Hahaha."

Jupiter licked his dry lips, grinned, and said.

"Perverted Justice is the name. One of the Ten Fingers of the Wretched One, and you've just signed your own death warrant."

"One of the Ten Fingers? Haha… You're even more idiotic than I thought."

Aren stood up, hopped off the bed, and started walking towards the door.

"Go on… Tell them all… TELL THEM ALL… This is his will, hahahaha!"

Jupiter's laughter echoed off the walls of the master bedroom, across the dark hallways, and down the stairs.
