Chapter 693: Shirley's Attitude Change
Night fell, and two people emerged from the door of the entertainment hall.
"Princess, can we go back now..."
Qin Hao yawned lazily, thinking that Shirley would lose interest in playing because of Boss Huang's appearance.
But to his surprise, the opposite happened. This girl stubbornly dragged Qin Hao around the entertainment hall for a whole circuit before finally stopping, experiencing every method of amusement.
"Isn't it still quite early?"
Shirley glanced at the Patek Philippe ladies' watch on her wrist, her face full of lingering interest: "Father hasn't called me, so it should be fine. How about we go play some more!"
With no outsiders present, the queenly aura on her faded, and she reverted to a somewhat delicate and typical girl.
Qin Hao's head felt a bit big. He really couldn't understand why this foreign girl was so playful; she was clearly of aristocratic birth but acted like a wild girl when having fun.
Just as he was about to agree, Shirley checked her phone and said with a disappointed expression, "Father returned to the hotel and now he's calling us back for dinner."
Hooray!
Qin Hao was internally delighted, but outwardly feigned regret as he said, "Then let's go!"
Saying this, he immediately grabbed Shirley's hand and walked her towards the roadside.
As they walked, he sensed something amiss because the soft hand he held seemed a bit stiff?
Turning around, Qin Hao saw Shirley's face slightly flushed. As soon as he looked at her, she quickly withdrew her hand, coughed twice, and attempted to act composed saying, "I can walk by myself."
Heh, so this girl was shy.
Qin Hao felt a slight joy in his heart. After flagging down a taxi, they both got inside.
Half an hour later, the two returned to the hotel.
The restaurant was on the tenth floor of the hotel, with Chinese and Western cuisine areas, both decorated elegantly, even the tableware looked splendid.
They entered the western restaurant and soon saw Tywin and Tom sitting by the window.
"Father!"
Shirley waved and ran over cheerfully.
"You're not a little girl anymore; mind your image."
Tywin still appeared old-fashioned, not pleased by Shirley's liveliness.
"Got it."
Shirley stuck out her tongue and sat beside her father.
Seeing Tywin ignore him, Qin Hao didn't mind and shamelessly sat down next to Shirley.
As soon as he sat, Qin Hao noticed Tywin looking somewhat gloomy, while Tom eyed him jealously.
"Father, how did the business negotiations go today?"
Tywin shook his head gloomily: "We're still in the bargaining stage. To successfully negotiate this project, it'll take at least a few more days."
Upon hearing this, Shirley couldn't help but show her joy. Staying a few more days in Huaxia meant a lot to her, as she quite liked this populous and vast country.
Before long, a variety of exquisite dishes were served by the waiters.
Qin Hao maintained his poor manners as always. He ordered a medium-rare steak and stacked three pieces together, cutting and devouring them without grace, which slightly displeased Tywin but he said nothing.
As dinner was nearly over, Qin Hao burped and lounged in the chair, with others having mostly finished and were sipping after-dinner tea and nibbling on pastries.
After reading the newspaper for a while, Tywin suddenly turned pale and angrily exclaimed: "Outrageous, these cunning Huaxia People. They agreed to cooperate with us, but then announced in the news that they're looking for partners!"
Tom said respectfully, "Huaxia People are driving up the price, intending for you to invest more money, Sir."
"Greedy, despicable, shameless, unrefined... that's my impression of Huaxia People!"
Due to his anger, Tywin rarely showed his rage, muttering to himself, clearly affected by the rough cooperation.
His words were unintended, but Qin Hao on the scene couldn't ignore them.
"Sir Tywin, you can't judge all Huaxia People by the behavior of a few."
Qin Hao righteously said: "Generalizing is not a trait a noble should possess."
Tywin looked at him with a dark face. He initially didn't have much fondness for Qin Hao, but now the other dared to criticize him in person?
How could he tolerate this?
Just as he was about to get angry, Shirley hurriedly said, "Father, I think Mr. Qin's words make sense; you shouldn't be influenced by a few individuals!"
She coquettishly wrapped her arm around Tywin's. Understanding her father's temperament, she feared he would get angry now.
"Shirley, you..."
Tywin looked surprised. He was not unfamiliar with his daughter's coquettishness, but what was unfamiliar was her action in defending this Huaxia man?
How could this be? She clearly detested Qin Hao!
Immediately, he cast a meaningful glance at Qin Hao and saw him playfully winking at Shirley, making her face blush with embarrassment.
It seemed his daughter was attracted to him?
This realization was the second annoying matter Tywin faced today.
He snorted coldly, "Shirley, I've taught you since childhood to hold your dignity; never associate with disreputable people! Have you forgotten?"
Knowing her father was covertly insulting Qin Hao, Shirley wanted to retort but was intimidated by Tywin's gaze, causing her to bow her head without speaking.
Based on his usual character, Qin Hao would've taught Tywin a harsh lesson.
But today, having won Shirley's favor weighed upon him.
After all, if the script was correct, the man could be his future father-in-law, which made it difficult to reprimand him.
Just then, sensing a gaze upon him, he turned and found Tom angrily glaring at him.
Clearly, Tom was furious over Shirley's changed attitude towards Qin Hao.
Qin Hao felt smug, showing a teasing smile, and obnoxiously raised his eyebrows.
Tom got angrier, tightly clenched his fists, and kicked his feet under the table.
Feeling the wind from the kick below, Qin Hao did not retreat; instead, he raised a foot to kick back.
Bam!
Both controlled their strength, so the sound wasn't loud, thus Tywin and Shirley did not notice.
During the initial collision, both were probing, so the commotion was slight.
But as Qin Hao's mischievous grin grew, Tom couldn't stand it, furiously kicking under the table.
Qin Hao could only respond with his own kicks.
Tap tap tap tap!
Seeing Tywin reading the newspaper, hearing strange noises from under the table, and observing Qin Hao and Tom's expressions, he instantly understood.
"Stop it, both of you!"
Tywin shouted angrily.
However, Tom, usually obedient, totally lost his mind today.
Since they were already discovered, he decided to go all in!
Tom ignored Tywin's words, infusing his feet with maximum force, and kicked relentlessly.
"Hey, are you forcing me, buddy?"
Qin Hao was speechless, channeling Inner Strength into his feet and continuing to kick back.
Tap tap tap tap!
The noise increased, their footwork fast yet refined, avoiding the table corners.
But due to the intense impact, the table began to shake violently.
Ultimately, with a clang, the exquisite dining table split into four pieces.
