"Dad I am getting married" Brian said

"To who?

"Sel"

"Have you told your brother and is he okay with it?"

"Yes I just talked to him and he's fine with it"

"What about the sister of sel?"

"Dad before I came abroad I had a little talk with her"

Flashback

Brian went to pick sel at home, they had a date, he saw Aileen at the door, she was heading out

"Hi" Aileen said

"Hello. How are you?"

"Good my sister is inside and I guess she's waiting for you" Aileen said and was about to bypass him

"Hey Aileen, can I talk to you?"

"Sure"

"Umm your sister and I have been dating for a long time"

"Please go straight to the point"

"I want to marry your sister"

"What's stopping you?"

"You and my brother had a past, not a good one tho and I know how much your opinion matters to your sister, i hope my brother and your past doesn't affect i and your sisters present"

"My past with your brother wasn't all good but it wasn't all bad either and regarding my sister and you, both of you are adults and should decide on your own. I want my sister to be happy and she's happy when she's with you. Before, you guys were still dating despite knowing about your brother and me so what's going to change now? Sir Brian I have no objection to your wedding and I can assure you her saying yes or no to you will definitely not have something to do with me. If that's all you wanted to talk about then I will take my Leave" Aileen said and left

"So have you proposed to her"

"Not yet dad, I wanted to talk to Rìan first"

A week passed and Brian returned to the city, he wanted to propose to sel as soon as possible, he just couldn't wait anymore

"I miss you too" Brian said and kissed her

"Go home sel and prepare for tonight I have a surprise for you, I want you to look as lovely as usual" Brian said and gave her a dress

"What's the occasion"

"I said it's a surprise, go home I will have a car pick you up" Brian said

At night

"Where are you going?" Her mother asked

"Brian and I are going out"

"You always go out, why are you dressed like this isn't it too much??"

"Mom he gave me dress and said to look my best"

"You look beautiful"

"Thanks mom"

"I hope he ask you to marry him, you two have been together for years"

"Mom!! What's important is we both love each other" sel said, just then they heard the sound of a car

"My ride is here, bye mom" sel said and left

Aileen came out of her room

"You know he's going to propose to her so why say that?" Aileen said

"I was just giving her a hint" her mom said and she shook her head, she went to the kitchen to get some water and her mom followed her

"Brian told me he had a talk with you and you're ok with them getting married, Aileen are you really okay?"

"When it comes to their relationship, have I ever been the problem? Stop asking me that, sel regardless of my past with his brother still dated him till today, why are you guys making it seems I am stopping them from getting married. Mom my sister has nothing to do with my past neither is her boyfriend"

"Aileen!!!"

"Mom stop it, it's been more than 10 years since those incidents happened to me, let me forget it, I love you mom good night" she said and went to her room

Brian had made such a beautiful arrangement for the two of them

"This is so beautiful" Sel said

"I love it"she said and he pulled a chair for her to sit
