Still, the team leader knew that he had to give some incentive to his subordinates, so after taking a second to calm down he passed on his orders.

"You all take care of the white-haired girl, I'll make sure to leave a lasting impression on that bastard's heart in the meantime", he said.

"Got it captain", happily said the second in command, in other words that yellow robed blond-haired guy.

Once the team leader had left, the remaining seven opponents spread in two parts, the Star Tribulation ones faced Vivian while the Star Axys took distance as if to say "we are not participating" in order to not give Aster an excuse to interfere.

The three that did plan to fight Vivian, were that blond dual cultivator who acted as the second in command of the team, a girl with a purple dress and a gray robed guy who belonged to the Iron Hall.

In case you wonder why that guy from the Supreme Elemental sect wasn't leading the team, he is just an early-stage Star Tribulation while that blond guy is a peak stage one, just like the purple dress wearing woman from the Marsh Domain, also he didn't want to draw too much attention to himself after seeing Aster killing all those enemies.

"I feel sorry for that little cutie, but our captain needs to get back at that guy, on the other hand I'm much more reasonable, you don't seem too adept to battle, if you willingly surrender, I can guarantee your safety, of course you'll have to offer something of equal value, what do you say?", asked the blond guy with a bright smile, which froze on his face upon listening to Vivian's words.

"Is this the technique people call "Charm", I don't see what's so special about it, the result is not even as good as how Aster looks normally", she said as she waved her hand which was covered in a light blue haze, to then add.

"Fragile disgusting trash", sizzling sounds were produced the moment that blue haze on Vivian's hand made contact with the air nearby, revealing the hidden currents of yang energy that were being radiated by the blond guy, who immediately cut off his connection with them as he saw the yang energy being melted.

The blond guy's previously relaxed expression twisted due to anger, besides the number of partners, what a dual cultivator takes pride in is their yang energy, so having his yang called "fragile", "disgusting" and "trash" was an insult way beyond anything he was willing to swallow in order to trick the white-haired girl into surrendering.

Also, he knew that it was futile to keep on a "sweet" act after seeing the light blue haze in Vivian's hand, which radiated a type of energy he knew very well.

"Tsk, a pure yin cultivator, I should have guessed so by that "frail" appearance, oh well, let's the do it the good old way, you two after me!", he said as he exploded in yellow flames, using yang radiance to clad his body.

There are two different trains of thought when it comes to yin-yang energy cultivators, first there are those who cultivate through exchange, in other words dual cultivators they use the counterpart of their side be it yin for yang or yang for yin in order to strengthen themselves.

And then there are those who cultivate through accumulation, who choose to call themselves "pure" either yin or yang cultivators and as you can imagine, they basically keep away from the counterpart of their type of energy, by doing so their yin or yang grows purer and stronger so long as they remain untainted, in other words they are forbidden from having any kind of close contact with the opposite sex.

Needless to say, but the first method is way more popular, by both men and women, though indeed there are more male dual cultivators than female ones, since the second method requires depriving oneself from the freedom of pleasure in 99% percent of the cases, with the sole exception of the extremely rare case of finding either a man with a yin type body constitution or a woman with a yang type one, which are genuine exceptions among exceptions.

As a proof of the disparity there are numerous dual cultivation sects and forces oriented to either focus on male or female cultivators within the four Heavenly Quadrants, but there is only one pure type large force and it's a yin oriented one, in fact the person that possess the body constitution which Lilia originally thought Aria had, belongs to that sole pure yin sect, but that's beside the point.

The important part is that pure yin cultivators are the worst nightmare of dual cultivators, be it male or female ones, for guys, given that their strength relies on remaining untainted by yang energy, then their manuals focus on making their yin extremely violent against yang.

And they also strengthen themselves by absorbing yin energy, they also tend to have the upper hand when dealing female dual cultivators, as their master of yin usually beats the other party's one, it does come with a price after all.

The blond guy saw Vivian floating there in a defenseless state, there wasn't any spirit energy being radiated from her body, even the light blue haze from earlier had disappeared, which made him grit his teeth, feeling he was being looked down upon.

'Damn pure yin frigid bitch, let's see how I deal with you later!', he inwardly roared as he flashed, appearing a couple of meters away from Vivian, but then the moment he took impulse to throw a punch, the other two who were preparing to follow the blond guy's lead, saw in horror how his arm… disappeared.

What replaced the now empty place where his arm used to be, including the whole sleeve of his yellow robe, were a few drops of black liquid that turned into black tendrils the next second leaving nothing behind.

"Aghhh!", it actually took the blond guy a second to register the pain of losing his arm, his mind was a mess right now.

'What the hell, the defensive formation was completely used, what did she do!', he screamed in his heart just to listen to Vivian's mellow voice, which was nightmare inducing for him as of current.

"I don't remember giving you permission to come close to me", the clear lack of surprise or any second thought about what happened to his arm, made the blond guy's back drench in cold swear, it meant that the white-haired girl was used to such scenes, in other words he was throwing himself to death by coveting her.

"Ahhh!", loudly shouting to regain whatever was left of his courage, he turned around and fled, or at least tried to do so only for the res of his body to turn into a puddle of black liquid that then dissolved into nothing.

Seeing the result, Vivian inwardly nodded to herself, satisfied with the result of her newly developed poison which was in a testing phase.

'Mm, the result of "Retribution" was as strong as expected, not even his spirit treasures remained, though the disrupting effect of the distortions helped a bit', she thought.

This "Retribution" was a new type of poison which Vivian was in the process of creating, she previously put her all into creating "Black Dragon Overlord" and the result was monstrous to the point that she lacked the capacity to control it who it targeted as of current, since she went all out in offensive/defensive for it.

Still, she was decided to keep it as she created it by being inspired in Aster, and dedicated her first and currently sole cycle to it.

That didn't mean she couldn't use the cycle to regulate other poisons, but the only one she could use with her spirit energy as the medium instead of her body, which is what caused the outer pattern phenomenon that resulted in the extremely fierce power of the "Black Dragon Overlord", was that one, the whole cycle was dedicated to it and Vivian couldn't use it for other original poisons with her spirit energy as medium.

So, now that she had found the way to maximize the strength of her poisons, now she needed a way to properly control them to solve her needs, and then the idea of "Retribution" was born.

A poison that is harmless, unless the targets show hostility towards Vivian and she notices it, it might sound ineffective but don't forget that Vivian is mainly a soul path cultivator, her senses are only second to Aster below the Transcending realms.

Also, she managed to see through Joseph's fakeness and kicked his ass before he had the chance to do whatever he was planning for her, despite the many years of "closeness" between them, so Vivian was extremely talented when it came to discern other people's intentions and that's without taking into account her overprotective body constitution.

Aster who was observing from afar couldn't help but nod in admiration at Vivian.

'A poison spread through soul energy instead of a physical or energy method, hence why that guy didn't notice it, nor there was any pattern in neither the dress or her skin, interesting', he thought.

That's right, "Retribution" was the first poison with an invisible pattern created by Vivian, it was also the first poison that didn't use neither her body nor her spirit energy as its medium, but her soul energy.

One might believe that is a really crazy idea to spread poison using one's soul as the medium and it is, though in a reduced scale it carries similar dangers as when Aster used annihilation with his soul energy, had he not been immune to it, a single mistake he could have killed his own soul.

The difference being that Vivian's soul isn't immune to poison, but has a high resistance to it and so long as her mind doesn't waver, she can protect it, luckily, she found something which her body constitution avoids to affect as much as it is possible within its limits, Aster.

She created a model of Aster within her mind to guard her soul from being affected by her poison and it was working like a charm, to the point that she became able to mold the resulting poison to her liking.

"Retribution", spread through her soul energy and was harmless for anyone as long as they didn't show hostility towards Vivian, also the automatic effect will only target the specific part that showed hostility hence why only the arm of the blond guy disappeared.

Of course, given the current level of control Vivian had over her body constitution, instead of ordering it, she had to "negotiate" with it, in this case in exchange for the previous, she had to give it the freedom to go all out on the targeted part.

Long story short, that blond guy's arm received the totality of the fierceness of Vivian's body constitution, which is how there was nothing left from it, including the defensive spirit treasures he was using.

This way, Vivian literally had the choice to kill or not while being protected and fighting seriously it was a poison she could use with her allies near of her, whether they were immune to poison or not, since it used her senses to determine "hostility", so rivalry, teasing and similar wouldn't count, it was tailored so that she could interact with the other girls and fight enemies at the same time.

Seeing the horrified expression on the remaining two Star Tribulation enemies, Vivian chuckled to then mockingly say.

"Don't tell me you guys truly believed I had my guard down, when I have a little sister to look for?".

Those two gritted their teeth as they distanced themselves from Vivian, the guy from the Iron Hall cladded himself in a metal later and then broke a bottle with a green liquid above his head, covering his body with the green liquid which exuded a fresh herbal scent, it was an antidote, this was a though crude, effective way for body cultivators to fight against poison cultivators, at this point they have realized that their original evaluation of Vivian was completely wrong.

"And here I thought the bitches from the Black Sword faction, looked down on using poison to fight, hypocrites", exclaimed the purple dressed woman whose body radiated a combination of green and purple smoke, she as a member of the Marsh Domain was naturally a poison cultivator.

Which is why she didn't understand, how come Vivian used "Yin Radiance" earlier, though technically any woman can cultivate their yin just as how any man can cultivate his yang, female poison cultivators can't use Yin Radiance to cleanse as everything their body produces has poisonous properties.

Listening to the purple dressed woman's sarcastic voice, Vivian softly snorted, her dress which had returned to its original white color then had a green leaf pattern cover the left half of it while purple cloud shapes appeared on the right one, a second before it turned black which was her target all along.

"Humph, what a shallow comprehension… anything in wrong doses can be a poison", she said.

The guy from the Iron Hall felt his body burning all of a sudden, before he could beg for mercy his body exploded in green flames and he was reduced to a dry corpse a second later, a similar effect of what Dahlia did earlier.

The skin of the purple dressed woman turned purple, she felt her throat tighten and gazed at Vivian in horror, since she is a poison cultivator she had the chance to speak before dying.

"M-Monster", was the only word she managed to spit before her throat clenched enough to break her neck, killing her in the spot.

In comparison to how the blond guy died, those two did leave their spirit treasures behind, it was understandable as the poisons used by Vivian right now, weren't as strong as "Retribution", she used her body as medium and also took advantage of the antidote and defensive techniques used by the enemies to attack them.

A lot of people separate poisons and antidotes in two completely different categories, ignoring the fact that… poison is used to make antidotes, Vivian simply used a poison that used that to kill the guy from the Iron Hall as he was stupid enough to cover himself on it, if he drank it, he would have had a chance to resist a few attacks from Vivian, not like the final result would have been different though.

As to why his defensive and lifesaving treasures didn't activate, they didn't register what happened to him as life-endangering, as what happened is that the antidote burned his vitality, in fact it had a positive effect as his realm suddenly spiked, the problem is that it wasn't under his control and burned more than what he had, the runes in his life-saving treasure thought it was his doing and had no way to save him from himself, a common flaw in non-personalized defensive treasures, which Vivian learned thanks to her classes with Eris and Mylene.

The purple dressed woman did realize the gap between herself and Vivian before dying, the way Vivian dealt with her was more direct and "brutish", she overwhelmed the natural resistance she had developed to her own poison integrated in her defensive spirit technique, with the same kind of poison but created by Vivian and killed her with it, in other words she used a higher heated fire to "burn" fire.

The eight Star Axys cultivators who had remained at distance since earlier, were shaking in their positions, the moment they saw the last of their seniors die they turned around to leave.

"Damn it, we should have gone with captain to deal with that little girl…", the one who was in charge of leading the Star Axys members of the team, rushed in a random direction leaving behind his teammates, only for him to listen to a "familiar" voice speaking as the person to which it belonged was next to him.

"It wouldn't have a difference, all this area is within my soul enhanced spirit sense's range", before he could say anything his body alongside anything he was wearing into black liquid which then evaporated.

Vivian whose dress had returned to its original white color, seemed to doubt of the result, then as if a bolt had hit her out of the blue, she sighed.

'Right, I should have taken their stuff before killing them… mm, well next time I will adjust Retribution to ignore spatial rings, I bet I can surprise Aster with that', a smile returned to Vivian's pretty face upon imagining her next date with Aster and their next cycle-creating session.

While happily humming, Vivian then flew towards the area where Kana had gone to in order to not have any interruptions in her own fight, the little girl took the initiative to put distance between herself and Vivian the moment she saw the four sets of enemies appearing.
