The Return of the Grim Reaper

Chapter 10: Chapter 10: The grim reaper has no mercy

RAIZOR POV

I was really about to kiss Lena; I went through so much nervousness, damn it. But now the most important thing is to figure out what the hell I'm going to do now.

Erick and John will have to enter our academy, or I'll raise suspicions. Besides, I'll have to ask Sara to say that the mission was a success thanks to Lena, so I'll remain neutral.

Even though it was relatively easy overall, I can't keep pretending I didn't see him. It's been five years since I faced him, but how could he find me so quickly?

The only answer I have in my head is that he followed me from the United States, but it's still impossible unless someone else discovered me and told him.

But there's still someone in between. Who the hell could that person be? Anyway, the important thing is that nobody got hurt, and above all, that Lena is safe.

Now the only thing left to do is to figure out a way to keep the army from finding out about what happened on this mission, especially regarding Erick and John.

LENA POV

It can't be, it can't be, it can't be; I almost kissed Raizor, damn it, damn it, damn it! I let myself get carried away by the moment; why the hell did I act like that with him? I've never behaved like this before.

Damn it, now I can't look him in the eye. How stupid of me! Although, realistically, if it wasn't for Euphi entering, Raizor and I would have kissed each other, as he didn't try to push me away either.

What am I going to do if Euphi asks why we were so nervous? But now that I think about it, Raizor must feel the same way I do, or did he just get carried away by the moment?

But what really makes me wonder is what Raizor told me. I never thought that the three of them were looking out for me all this time. It makes me wonder if my life would have been different if I had known Raizor earlier.

That question will be the only one I'll never know the answer to, but what I do know is that my life from today onwards will be different from normal, and I'm proud of it.

I wonder what we'll do now that we've finished the mission; I don't think they'll send us on another one, at least not for now.

THIRD PERSON

After Raizor and Lena joined the others, most of them went to sleep except for Raizor, Erick, and John, as they had to talk to their captain about something.

"Raizor, tell me, you were able to sense it, right?" Erick asks as he sits in one of the chairs.

Raizor remained silent, while John was sitting eating some cookies he had found.

"Yes, it was only for a few seconds, but I felt his power," Raizor replied, crossing his arms and looking away with a serious face.

"That means he found you," John said after finishing eating a cookie.

"Yes, but what I'd like to know is how he found me," Raizor said with a sigh.

"Although if you think about it, it was only a matter of time before he found you," John said as he continued to eat the cookies.

"Yes, I already know that, but it doesn't make sense; it's been five years since I left the United States, so why is he still chasing me?" Raizor said as he looked away.

"But remember, Raizor, he told you himself," Erick said as he looked at him intently.

Flashback

UNITED STATES FIVE YEARS AGO

In one of the towers in New York, our protagonist was looking at a person who was blocking the only way to escape.

"It seems there's no way you'll let me go, right?" Raizor asked with a sarcastic smile.

"You know I can't do it, no matter how much I'd like to," the other person replied with a smile.

"You say you'd like to, but in truth, you want to face me, don't you?" Raizor said with his hands in his pockets.

"Heh, maybe you're right, but I have a proposition for you," the other person said, looking at him intently.

"I'm all ears," Raizor said mockingly, but with a cold look.

"I'll let you go this time, but with one condition," the other person said, turning around and facing away from Raizor.

"What?" Raizor asked with a serious look.

"That in five years, you'll face me. Do we have a deal?" the other person said, glancing at Raizor.

"Fine, but now tell me what happens if I fulfill that condition," Raizor asked with a smile and a challenging look.

"Well, then I'll have to chase you until you get tired and fight me, since after all, DEATH doesn't show mercy, right? Raizor," the other person replied with a sarcastic smile.

End of flashback

"For now, I'll leave it at that, but you two also stay alert for anything," Raizor said as he looked out the plane window.

Erick and John nodded. After that, they went to sleep, except for Raizor, who was still awake until a loud noise caught his attention.

"So, it's you who was listening to the conversation, Lena," Raizor said with a smile as he offered her a hand to help her get up.
