The Return of the Cannon Fodder Trillion Heiress

Chapter 945 Like Spending Time With You

Despite all the intimate things she had already shared with her boyfriends, and the fact that they'd seen everything there was to see, this still felt different. Using the toilet in front of him crossed a boundary that made her want to melt into the floor from embarrassment.

'I think I'll need to hire a female caregiver or nurse to help me get around and handle my business. After all, they have their own lives to take care of, and I can't keep burdening them with looking after me like this,' Hera thought to herself.

And Xavier, seeing how shy Hera had become, couldn't help but stifle a chuckle. After all, he'd already seen everything there was to see, so in his mind there was no reason for her to be embarrassed over something so trivial.

But to Hera, it wasn't trivial at all. Wanting to look pretty in front of the man she liked was natural for a woman, but peeing in front of him? That was anything but pretty, and it could easily shatter the good image she wanted to maintain.

And worse, if she was already this embarrassed just from peeing, what if she had to use the toilet for the other thing? Just imagining it made her shiver in humiliation, and if she could, she would have already shoved Xavier out of the room.

"Xavier, I—I can take care of myself. I'll call you once I'm done," Hera said. After all, she still had one working hand, so she could easily pull some tissue, wipe herself, flush the toilet, and maybe even pull her underwear and pajama bottoms back up on her own.

Seeing that Hera wouldn't pee while he was inside, Xavier relented with a helpless shake of his head. As he stepped out, he quietly closed the door behind him. He didn't want to keep holding her back, if she kept refusing to pee, she might hurt her bladder. So, for once, he decided not to tease her and simply respect her wishes.

After all, if their positions were reversed, would he really want her to watch him when he couldn't even handle his own basic needs? Probably not.

The thought made him imagine himself with a broken arm, awkwardly standing over the toilet while Hera stood there to "supervise." His cheeks warmed, he had to admit, the image wasn't entirely unpleasant. In fact, if it were Dave instead of him, the guy would probably take it further and shamelessly ask Hera to hold his shaft and help aim for the toilet bowl.

Men really were different from women.

Xavier shook his head quickly, as if trying to knock the idea out before it could stick. 'Great,' he thought dryly, 'I'm starting to think like Dave. I should probably stop hanging out with that abomination for a while, he's rubbing off on me in all the wrong ways.'

He leaned against the wall beside the door with a decisive nod, then shot a glare toward the still-sleeping Dave on the bed.

Not long after, he heard the flush of the toilet, followed by Hera's soft voice. "I-I'm done."He instantly stepped inside, only to find her balancing on one foot, her uninjured arm braced against the wall for support. In two quick strides, Xavier closed the distance and swept her up into his arms.

"What are you doing? You could make your injuries worse like this. You should've let me—" His words came out more like a plaintive protest than a scolding. He couldn't bring himself to truly reproach her for trying to stay independent, not when she was so hurt.

Just the sight of the casts on her arm and leg squeezed painfully at his chest. But watching her stubbornly stand on her own, so fierce, so self-reliant, only made his heart ache even more.

Hera lowered her gaze, realizing that she truly did feel embarrassed to depend on them for something as simple as going to the toilet. Still, seeing Xavier fuss over her warmed her heart, it was proof of how much he cared. But she couldn't let them shoulder everything for her.

What Hera didn't know was that the reason they were so willing to "share" her with each other was precisely for this, so there would always be someone to care for her and keep her company when the others couldn't.

As her men, they saw it as their duty to protect and care for her as much as possible. Yet their careers were demanding, and they couldn't always be at her side. By sharing the responsibility, they could pursue both love and ambition without sacrificing either.

Even if their words sometimes sounded magnanimous and love-struck, the truth was they were all determined to reach the top with the woman they loved, unlike those unrealistic novel characters who abandoned work and let their employees to suffer just to chase romance.

Reality didn't work like that. Money didn't fall from the sky, they had to earn it if they wanted to give Hera everything she deserved.

And now that they knew she was wealthier than any of them, they felt even more driven to work harder, to prove themselves worthy. Otherwise, they would risk looking like nothing more than her kept men.

They all wanted to stand beside Hera with dignity, able to hold their heads high when introducing themselves as her lovers, or even future husbands. None of them wished to be seen as men merely riding her coattails.

In truth, Hera had no reason to worry about what any of them thought, but her considerate actions warmed their hearts. It was precisely this warmth that made them unable to let her go, even when they were supposed to be possessive, domineering CEOs who would never dream of sharing the woman they loved.

After Xavier carried Hera to bed and gently laid her down, he climbed in beside her, softly caressing her hair to lull her back to sleep. Watching her with a sweet smile on her lips, Xavier couldn't help but smile as well. Before long, they both drifted off.

The next morning, when they woke, Rafael and Dave were just preparing for a morning run and a quick workout at the gym. Xavier immediately helped Hera wash up and have some breakfast. Once Rafael had finished his workout, Xavier went for his own session, training for over an hour.

While they were busy exercising and Hera couldn't do her own workout, she simply freshened up, then enjoyed a breakfast of wonton noodle soup and vegetable buns. After she finished eating, Xavier helped her over to the sofa so she could sit and read a novel. They spent some quiet time together, each absorbed in their own activities.

When Rafael returned, Xavier headed out. While Rafael went upstairs to shower, Amy stayed with Hera for a while, keeping her company until Rafael came back down to watch over her.

"You know, you guys don't have to watch over me all the time. I can sit here and read without any issues," Hera said with a pout. She felt as if they were treating her like a fragile doll that needed constant care, and the thought made her feel tired for their sake.

Rafael chuckled and stepped closer, his hand reaching out to gently ruffle her hair. "I just want to spend more time with you, am I not allowed?" he teased. His words struck straight at Hera's heart, leaving her with no retort.

Her gaze darted away as her cheeks grew warm, but Rafael only leaned in and placed a light peck on her forehead, laughing even more as if savoring her flustered reaction.

Amy, who had recovered somewhat overnight, watched the scene quietly. She and Hannah had long grown used to seeing more and more men gravitate toward their young miss.

In truth, they welcomed it—hoping Hera would have more people to love her. They both felt deeply for the young woman before them. Despite having enough wealth to live lavishly for a lifetime without making the slightest dent in her family's fortune, Hera hadn't grown up in luxury.

Instead, she had struggled like any ordinary person, clawing her way forward. She had lived without her parents, and even her grandfather, her only family, was often too busy for her, while her stand-in lived a life of comfort in her place.

For Amy and Hannah, it seemed only right that the heavens had finally smiled upon Hera, surrounding her with men who cherished her, who could return the love she so freely gave, and who could make her truly happy. So, they simply enjoyed watching her sweet, tender moment unfold, without interrupting.

Not long after, Dave returned as well. He took a quick shower and soon came downstairs, settling on the sofa beside Hera. As he read the report his assistant had sent to his phone, his fingers absently played with her long, silky hair. When he was done reading, he crouched down and began massaging her uninjured leg.
