The Rejected Alpha's Vengeance

Chapter 457: Save Me The Front Seat In Hell

[SICARIO]

"We have to leave before Mbali dies and you pin that blame on us truly. Nolen of us is interested in the politics of power and we are inn–" Drew insisted as he readied himself to put up a fight for his people.

He needed them to know that they were free and that they were not in the wrong here. Drew needed his sailors to understand that they could fight back if they had to because they had been sent and they did exactly what they had been entrusted to do.

"No one is leaving, Andrew," Rukiya stated, interrupting Drew who seemed ready to throw hands at the leader of Sicario if they were not let go. It would be a risky fight and there was a chance that they wouldn't win, but at least they would have fought.

"You…" Drew said, trailing off as he rubbed his eyes to be sure of what the hell he was seeing and hearing. He had been sure this psychotic woman had been with the others on the sacred island, so it didn't just make any sense for her to be here.

"How are you here?" Elodie asked, this time, making the rest of the team here stare at the Greyson alpha like she had grown an extra pair of heads. There was no way she had come out to their alpha's suite like that, right?

"Exactly… how the fuck are you here? And is that other mad woman with you? Tell her we need to be out of here as soon as possible," Drew said and Ruiya just chuckled as she watched Drew.

She was amused while Drew was probably shitting his pants already.

"Which one am I supposed to answer first?" Rukiya mused as she looked at her whaler who was watching her silently like he was waiting for what he would do. Hudhayfah didn't look worried one bit, instead, he looked like a proud father at the moment.

"Bet I'll answer Drew first because he looks like hell is a better place than here for him," Rukiya said and Drew stared in earnesty. He wasn't sure if that was a compliment or if that was his chance at freedom, but whatever it was, he was thankful for it.

"Hawi threw me into a portal like she sent you with the hip. The only difference is, at least you and your crew knew you were being taken to Sicario and that you would be safe and well protected," Rukiya said and Drew stared at Elodie at that.

It was almost like he wanted to tell on Elodie and how they had been treated, but at the same time, they were way past all fit enough to start being a nuisance to each other.

No matter what was happening to them at the moment, they needed to come to terms with their reality and accept the fact that perhaps there was someone out there who was listening to them.

But even so, was that person in the right headspace for all of these or was it just an unfortunate person forced to deal with them and the chaos that came with their very existence and lives?

"If you saw the beds flailing, well that was the nice ass bed she made me and then threw me in here, that little weaker. When I got my hands on her—'' Rukiya gritted and Elodie smirked.

"You will just kiss her and then make up," Hudhayfah said.

"Well, that is definitely a must-do. But that's not the point here," Rukiya said with a blush and Drew facepalmed. How the fuck had he managed to be on this side of history with the craziest of them all. Which sin had he committed to make him a part of this?

"Well, that's nice and all, but please tell this alpha that we didn't kill Mbali?" Rio said and Rukiya turned sharply at the sailor, her eyes darkening while the skies gathered and Elodie Kane took a step back.

She had seen enough madness with Rukiya Greyson to know that she didn't want to be on the receiving end of whatever the fuck was going on in her mind.

Hell, Hudhayfah who should have been able to stop her and help her realize that they weren't enemies at the moment had also stepped back, as did Theo, leaving the sailors in the middle like they were the targets at the moment.

"What did you just say about Mbali?" Rukiya asked, as she walked closer to Rio, who was not reflecting this time.

Either Rio was due for a burial or he was just one of the people who had had enough of the madness because of the wild woman and he just wanted it all to stop. He couldn't be blamed really because their lives had been peaceful until they accepted the call from Malika.

Perhaps they should have declined, and even if they had there were still different ways that Malika Jabali would have forced their hands and made them accept the call either way.

She was not one to accept a no for anyone and that was one thing that Rio was done doing right now. If Drew wasn't going to stand up for them for fear of ruining their alliances, then Rio would gladly step up.

Besides, at the end of the day, they were a team, regardless of who stood up to the craziest and most unhinged group in the realm.

"The ship we came in blew up a few minutes after Malika so ungracefully sent us to this land that didn't even appreciate what we had done for the lot of you. Anyway, long story short, they found Mbali unconscious, dead, or whatever the fuck state she is in at the moment, and of course, they blame us because our ship blew up.

"None of us know why the fuck that happened and frankly it doesn't even matter anymore because we have endured enough for the Sicario warriors. So, if it's not too much for you and your ego, please tell Alpha Elodie over there that we can't kill one of the crazy Savasci knights.

"Hell, we can't even fight against Hudhayfah and win, so how the fuck would we take on a highly trained and well-skilled Lycan assassin just like that? You and I know she is on your level of crazy and evil, and we also know she is Malika's sister.

"It was and is impossible for mere werewolf sailors like us to be able to kill such a warrior. Maybe if Elodie hears it from you, she will trust us and let us leave this place," Rio said standing tall.

He wasn't going to back down just because the woman before him could kill him with just a stare. It was so great, but what else could I do when everyone was scared of Ruiya Greysin and the Savasci knights?

If it wasn't for the fact that they were in Sicario, they would have fought their way out. But then even if they tried, they wouldn't ever win because of the immortal army that was here to protect the pack. Rukiya's world would truly go a long way to save them the time here.

"Mbali is in Sicario? Are you certain about that?" Rukiya asked, the disbelief on her face so evident as her eyes softened and she took a step back from Rio, making the sailor breathe in relief.

"She's in her usual chambers," Elodie added.
