The Red Dragon Just Wants To Do As It Pleases

Chapter 188: Where Did You Go Wrong? (Part 2)

Wait... before I died? What the fuck!

David suddenly looked down and saw 'another himself' with eyes closed, falling towards the upper part of the palace. He was caught mid-air by a group of attendant Chromatic Dragons and bound tightly. One of them, without looking back, called out, "You may report to Duke Avernus that we have captured the perpetrator who 'damaged' the Styx River embankment," all the while ignoring the dragon soul flying towards the Dragon God's chambers.

...Fuck! So I'm still caught! Tiamat, you screwed me over! David was momentarily speechless.

But at the same time, he couldn't help but recall a bard's joke popular in Elariya:

Once, a mortal of wavering faith asked a devil disguised as a Priest, "Please tell me, how can I see the deity I believe in the quickest way?"

The devil pulled out a dagger, plunged it into the unfaithful man's chest, and said with a 'merciful' smile, "Of course, it's by dying!"

Ah, I'm dead! David muttered to himself, somewhat exasperated.

"Yes, you have 'died,' but you have also escaped the most severe and cruel punishment Hell would have had for you. Do you have any complaints about that?"

"David Uthos?" The voice was like a sigh from the edge of the sky, yet also a whisper close to his ear. It sounded like five completely different female voices overlapped, yet was surprisingly harmonious.

David sat up with a start, one hand on the ground, the other on his forehead, as if waking from a momentous dream.

Wait... "My... hand!?" David suddenly realized he was sitting naked in the cold, chromatic great hall.

Recalling the voice, he abruptly looked up. Ahead, on a high platform resembling a Royal Court, sat five queens, each with a unique allure. The red-clad queen was at the center, her posture the boldest and most unrestrained. Her eyes flickered with a fiery, dangerous light, and her lips curved slightly upward. Lust... Greed...

"Fuck!" Before David could even get a good look at the other four queens, he merely blinked instinctively, and his 'body' reverted to his Red Dragon form.

The Royal Court before him also transformed into a mound-like platform, upon which lay a huge Chromatic Dragon, its enormous, multi-colored wings wrapped around itself, all five dragon heads staring unblinkingly at him.

The Red Dragon head remained in the center, occupying the highest position. Beyond its majesty, it radiated a scorching charisma. The blue and green heads flanked it; the blue eyes were profound, while the green glinted with cunning and treachery. The black head, ferocious and skull-like, was filled with mystery, yet every movement revealed an underlying elegance. The white head, exuding a pure yet cold beauty, breathed out a frosty mist with each exhalation.

Yet, as desire stirred within him, the majestic and powerful form of the great dragon before him transformed again. Now, he saw five queens, their alluring bodies adorned with Dragon Scales only on crucial areas.

"I must say, the desires of you Heteromorphic Dragons are always so direct. Staring at your god with such a naked gaze... Do you intend to serve as my consort when you grow up? That's not a job a young dragon like you can handle, you know."

"However, since you're so curious, I shall indulge you." Her voice was like a sigh.

...

The next moment, David found himself as a 'young adult Red Dragon'. Drawn by a seductive whisper, he entered the Chromatic Palace. A cold tail suddenly wrapped around his ankles, dragging him into a tomb of corrosion.

Then came the intimacy, entangled with five uniquely styled female dragons: red, blue, green, black, and white.

One moment they were in dragon form, the next they had turned into humans.

It was as if he were a groom being shared among five brides.

There were moments when David felt like he had experienced this wonderful dream before.

Only, in that 'dream', unlike now, he had been the dominant one, endlessly cycling through Lust, Greed, Arrogance, and Sloth, allowing him to lead indefinitely.

But now, he was the one serving, like a male ant dutifully offering himself to the queen until exhaustion, or like someone being utterly drained.

Yet, whether it was the ant or the one being drained, there eventually comes a day of fruition.

And so, Dragon Eggs, each containing the essence of his bloodline, were propagated, piling up like mountains. Countless dragons, reborn in the Divine Realm, hatched from them, becoming true children of Tiamat.

In that moment, his legs trembling, David finally understood.

This was one of the divine duties of the Chromatic Dragon Queen. Reproduction.

The instant he fully grasped this, he also completed his mission as a 'Father Attendant'.

...

David jolted awake again in the Chromatic Palace, feeling as if he'd been on his deathbed. He looked at the variously charming and ambiguously smiling expressions on the Dragon Queen's five heads. David quickly covered his crotch, squeezed his legs together, and, tail tucked, pleaded for mercy, "I was wrong! Your Majesty! I shouldn't have been so disrespectful to you! Please forgive my transgression!"

Even though he knew it was just a little trick by the Chromatic Dragon Queen Tiamat, who had used her divine power merely to give his own thoughts and fantasies a nudge.

After all, she was already a Dragon God. Even if she had such a need for 'Reproduction,' she wouldn't resort to such inefficient methods.

Another clear proof was that his Authority showed no 'reaction' to the stimulus of these layered illusions.

Yet that sensation of seemingly real pleasure still left him with a hollow feeling, as if he were young but already utterly spent.

He worried that if this happened a couple more times, he might develop a trauma related to females before he even had a chance to grow into a young adult.

"Where did you go wrong?"

He hadn't expected his own Dragon God to actually ask this—a question notoriously known on Blue Star as a 'no-win scenario' prompt.

For a moment, David, as a whole dragon, was completely dumbfounded. "Huh?"

He'd never imagined that such an august Dragon God would ask such a damn frustrating question.

Then, he saw the Dragon God lift her tail, her five pairs of eyes narrowed slightly. The tip of her tail brushed past each of her five distinct mouths in turn, her gaze distant as if contemplating something.

Lust. Witnessing this for real, David's tail couldn't help but straighten.

But the moment he recalled the horrific image of being a 'juicing machine' earlier, it drooped again instantly.

"Indeed... only reality can stimulate the growth of that 'ability' of yours. It's somewhat regrettable," Tiamat said, sounding genuinely disappointed.

Only then did David realize that the Dragon Queen genuinely hadn't considered his rather offensive gaze to be wrong in any way—'What fault was there in it?' she might have thought.

But on reflection, it made sense. As the Chromatic Dragon Queen, she embodied the ultimate beauty of all Chromatic Dragons in the Multiverse. No dragon should be able to resist such temptation. If he had shown no reaction upon seeing her, Tiamat might have actually been displeased...

He also finally understood that the previous 'illusion' had merely been Tiamat's test of his 'power of Authority.'

He immediately offered a piece of information in return, "But I can also accumulate that kind of 'power' in my dreams."

But unexpectedly, she seemed to have known this all along and said with a knowing smile, "Are you referring to the time your consciousness was attached to my Redscale incarnation? That, too, was a form of reality."

... Only then did David realize that the Dragon Mother had essentially possessed him back then—ah, no, in a way, it was more like *he* had been intimate with Mother Tiamat...

"But that's also good, for it confirms that to some degree, you possess an ability untouched by divine power."

David's heart gave a lurch. The Dragon Queen 'had a use for him,' and it was very likely related to this Authority of his.

Sure enough, he heard Tiamat's five dragon heads speak in unison, their expressions holding that ambiguous smile, "I know Pafila must have told you not to place your faith in me."

David's heart skipped a beat.

"However, I already have your mother Pafila as a believer, and you are a Heteromorphic Red Dragon full of sentiment. So, whether or not you believe in me is not as important as Pafila imagines, is it?"

David sighed inwardly and said, "Please give your orders, Your Majesty."

He'd just treat it as a transaction.

At least she could smooth over the mess he had made in Barto Hell. That was good enough.
